Very dependable and quiet operation. Excellent quality and easy setup for any diy person to install. Nice features like phone app, Bluetooth light, wireless wall control.

Great unit, easy to installed with well written instruction manual. Very quiet opener and can control with iPhone if you have WiFi link to it, over all we're very happy we went with the wall mount, it's well worth the price. Highly recommended.

Bought this August 8th 2021, less than 2 years ago. Within a couple months, there was a board failure. Customer Service is actually great and talked me through diagnosis and sent me another board. However, today, I had an issue with the door so I had to disengage the gear. I could not get it to re-engage which is just a pull of the cord. Unfortunately, I thought I heard something rolling around. Of course it was a brittle broken plastic gear which completely disabled the opener. See Pic.

I underestimated how much better a garage door could be. We had a pro grade installed genie overhead. No issues but it was time to upgrade when we lost a remote. This one was so simple to install. I am pretty handy but there was nothing complicated about this one and it required only a few common tools. Very quiet and after a few weeks it has been flawless. I thoughg the app would be silly but it ls very nice always knowing the door is closed ehen your away. The best part is how clean everything looks once you can get rid of all the extra opened parts from the older version.

It is quiet, doesn't take space on your ceiling, it is even cool BUT .... - IT BROKE AFTER 8 MONTH - THE PIECE THAT BROKE "Is not Serviceable" AND THEY HAVE TO SHIP A WHOLE UNIT - YOU HAVE TO PAY $38 FOR THE REPLACEMENT SHIPPING (AFTER 8 MONTH - NOT 3 YEARS LATER - 8 MONTH) - THE PIECE DOESN'T SEEM LIKE A DURABLE DESIGN. SO, AND I HOPE IT WON'T, IT WILL PROBABLY BREAK IN ANOTHER 8 MONTH. MAKE YOUR DECISION.

Compact and quiet, this wall mount is a necessity to declutter and clean up ugly overhead units. It has operated consistently since initial setup. Install was simple, straightforward and links well with their app. The only downside, is you'll be more aware of how the roller hardware on the door is noisy and rattles, soon to be addressed. The wireless console was a deciding factor as well as other reviews.

This thing has been installed for about a year. I has been a little finicky, but now it is trash. I am looking at another brand now. There is a plastic gear inside that has no chance of lasting. The unit started binding a little bit and then I pulled the release cord and now it is completely non functioning. Chat Is a joke. Call in wait time is 2 hours. The website looks like this part is not even available. This is a pretty expensive unit and it is junk.

Super impressed with the ease of install and programming. Ive installed 2 of these side by side for a super clean look. I have not utilized the wifi capabilities yet but expect them to work just as well. Only minor complaint is the range of the openers in my vehicles since these were utilized in a pole barn with 2 layers of steel.

Replaced an older L***M****r with typical stripped plastic gears failure. Wanted something less noisy, since garage is below our LR.. every time door opened, could feel & hear it in the LR above. So, didn't want another chain drive type: Considered going to belt drive until I saw this direct drive model. After researching the direct drive models available, went with Genie. I have a property maint. business, & been in residential construction 36 yrs. I've seen numerous problems with the other main brand opener (L-M), so was interested in what else was available. I've not seen any real issues with Genie, although they don't seem to be as popular as the competition in my area. Nonetheless, I liked the design and specs on this unit, so ordered it from the HD. This model is relatively simple to install, if you have installed openers before. Frankly, it was harder taking down the old L-M opener and track (& messy!) than installing the new Genie. Pay close attention to the directions (which could be more clearly & coherently written). Be sure you have adequate side and headroom for the opener unit, which attaches directly to the door drum shaft (NOT for use with linear tension spring doors). You will also need to have a standard 120v receptacle installed within 5 ft of the opener, if no receptacle is available. As most openers are ceiling mounted, the receptacle for it it generally located 10-12ft back from the door, in the ceiling. This was the case for my installation as well. I had to run conduit and a new receptacle from the breaker panel in the garage to the opener, so keep that in mind when planning an installation. I have installed numerous other openers, so this was not difficult - although some aspects were completely new since it is a direct shaft drive design. This model includes an electric deadbolt lock that mounts to the garage door track rail to prevent forced entry. It requires a bit more effort (drilling for bolts), but nothing major. Installing the electric (safety) eyes was a snap. Ran the wiring to the main unit, connected the deadbolt lock, and tightened down the shaft collar pinch bolts. Fired it up without issue. Programming the unit to work with the phone app was about the only difficulty I ran into. The app refused to work (programming WiFi access was not as simple as it appeared either, but I've seen worse). Ended up using a 2nd phone to complete the app registration and installation. Once set up and installed, the opener worked perfectly - and FAR FAR quieter than anything I've heard yet. It's so quiet, we don't hear (or feel) it in the room above the garage! This unit has a soft-start and stop design, so there is no initial big jolt as the motor takes out slack, or slams the door shut. Just smooth as silk!! I like the direct drive method - no messy chain, no belt to wear out (or replace), and no big opener hogging the middle of the ceiling along with a chain or belt track. Even better, this model has a battery included so the unit works in event of a power failure. That's a big plus, and to me well worth the additional cost. Overall, I am well pleased with this unit after about 10 weeks in use. Be aware that in case of power failure, when running only on internal battery power, the door opener operates about half normal speed... not a major issue - just something to note. I have some minor reservations about the tension guide rod sleeves (nylon cable clamps essentially), as to longevity. Nylon tends to become brittle with age and heat, so these will probably need replacing at some point in the future. Luckily, these are standard inexpensive hardware store items, easily and quickly replaced - so no big deal. Otherwise, this door opener is excellent. Range on the remote (fob) is best I've seen - far better than others I have/had. The remote fob is rather small, and there is little or no tactile feel upon pressing the buttons, so that's one thing I'd say could be improved. I'll probably add other remotes anyway. I added the Genie external remote keypad opener with this unit, which was simple and quick. This is by far the best garage door opener I've installed, owned, or maintained yet.. so, if it holds up over time, I will be extremely pleased. As my other L-M old openers fail, I will be replacing them with this excellent Genie model.

Fantastic. Works with low headroom garage doors too!!! Installation and programming we are easy to do. The app is great. It alerts you when the door goes up and down. Extremely quiet. I would highly recommend this product!

I really like this opener so far. I purchased 2 for my house and a family member liked them so I bought another one and installed it for them. Easy install if you are handy and depending on the house itself. The only issue I have is when they make similar models and its hard to determine if its a professional version or consumer grade model. So far so good.

The best upgrade for your garage. And yes you can install it. I only needed help to take the old unit down. This opener makes your garage feel more open. The operator is quiet and smooth. The programming was straight forward. The added bonus, I was able to reuse the custom opener buttons on my wall. The other vendors required a special wall control. The battery is good option, and I hope I don’t need it, but if I do I know I will be glad of it. I replaced an older Genie model and was easily able to reuse the remotes and simple to reset the built in controller in my car. About 3 hours total. Depot was quick on delivery and competitively priced. Now to upgrade the other unit on my other door. A good project and a great result.

Very quiet and smooth garage door opener. I like how it mounts beside the door, it looks clean. No issues yet after 2 months of use.

The package arrived after being dropped and I took pictures. Equipment was ok. Set up installation with Home Depot recommended installer. I made it clear that the door was 10 feet tall. Technician showed up with a 6 foot ladder when the opener was 14 feet in the height. He asked if he could use my 8 foot ladder. He stood on the top of the ladder and could not reach the wiring at the top. Installation cost me an additional $120 to come out the next day and fix the installation along with programming remotes. Still not good. Not a happy customer.

Garage door opener is amazing. It is very quiet compared to the traditional ceiling mounted opener. The only problem I have is the backup battery. It doesn't work. We had a power outage recently and it didn't work.

Took some tweaking and adjusting of the spring to get the opener to work for my door but it is working great so far. Have learned that I need to fix some things with the tracks that are causing the door to not be able to go as high as I'd like but that is no fault of the opener.

Very quiet. Opened so much space in my garage. I wish they would get rid of the old garage system. Way to go
