The garage door was blue when we bought the house sch that the neighbors called it the blue house. This product totally transformed the look.. took longer than they said it would take but we cant be happier with the way it turned out

Product deteriorated within 7 months. Giani states exposure to the elements, ie; sun and rain are not covered under warranty even though that is not a listed exclusion. They will give you some extra paint, with no further remedy, so you can sand and repaint. If I had known they don't warranty exposure to the sun for a product that is for garage doors, I never would have purchased this product. There should be a big warning on the box. This product should not be labeled for exterior use.

 I painted my steel garage doors with Giani wood look paint. Follow the instructions to a T. They turned out beautiful. As soon as winter hit the paint peeled terribly. Talk to the manufacturer they suggest that I sand the pealing spots repaint they did supply me a new paint kit. I not only sanded the doors I put a very good primer on them second time around. They turned out beautiful again as soon as winter hit paint started peeling creating an awful mess. The primer did not peal just the Giani paint. My garage doors are now ruined I had to order new doors costing me $2,700. The manufacturers response to this is they've already replaced the paint once there's nothing more they can do. My feeling is the least they could have done is refund my original purchase price $80 now I have to take time and expense for replacing the doors since they are ruined. My feeling is the cold conditions cause the peeling problem.

Took some learning but turned out beautiful ! 100% make the mitt damp with water before applying the stain coat it dries super quick so when you wet the mitt it helps push and thin the stain to make the wood look. I did my garage doors first and I’m doing my front door with it next to match. We have a 2 door garage and making them match was a little challenge but just remember how many coats. If I did it again I would probably stain them both at the same time verses stain one whole one then jump to the next to try to keep it more consistent

This kit has everything you need including tape, brush, roller, drop cloths and the paint. Watch the online videos first, they explain everything. Tape as much as they say, its pretty easy to hit your edges with the mitt and its easy to hit your keypad too. The results were fantastic! I did 3 thin coats to get the darkness I wanted. Royal Mahogany is gorgeous .

Better than I expected. It's been a big hit. Pretty simple to do. Helps with a little painting experience.

This project took longer than expected so prepare for that. All told with cleaning, prepping, priming, the 2-3 coats, and dry time it took 9 hours instead of the 3 listed. Pleased with the outcome so far though - Inexpensive curb appeal!

Easy to apply. Brush seems to work better than the mitten for applying the wood grain look

I used this on 2 bi fold primed doors. I applied the primer and finish coat with a brush. I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out. The doors look elegant now. I had enough left to do another door so for 66 dollars I did a total of 3 raised panel doors and 20 linear feet of base and crown molding. Amazing!.

This was exceptionally easy to use , great price for a great product that includes everything you need. My garage door looks amazing as everyone thinks we got a new door. If you follow the instructions you will not be disappointed.

The materials and application process was fairly simple to follow. Everything comes included (brushes, tape, rollers etc) to get started, two stars for that. I only used the paint brush, the roller was hard to use and I figured the glove would've soaked up alot of the stain. The base coat went on easy and I really like the color against the brick, but the final stage was not to my liking. It look like the door has been painted with watercolors after the final step. Not a fan, but I did see other comments suggesting the same results. So unless you have a current color you dont like and want to experiment this is great. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend.

I wanted the wood grain look but got a great deal on plain white garage doors. I bought this kit but was very skeptical. Figured if it didn't work I would just paint my doors Brown. This kit worked great. Can't believe how nice they look. Would recommend this to anyone. I will be buying a second kit to paint my man doors.

I actually used the product on aluminum siding that is on my enclosed back porch,giving it a very rustic look. the product was very easy to use and I am very satsfied with the results

takes some practice but it looks nice.

I found this product to be very easy to use. There was plenty of paint and stain to complete a 2 car garage and a side door.I did not like the 'mitten' they provided as it was too big on my hand. I did, though, use a paint brush and after 3 coats of the stain... it is beautiful ! The company provided everything you need to get the job done, including tape and plastic drop cloths.I would highly recommend this product.

This kit is easy to use but takes some trial and error to figure out how to apply the top coat correctly. I followed the directions exactly and it looked great up until a month after applying. Now the paint is starting to crack and I am very disappointed. I am not sure why it is doing this and I'm hoping that it won't start to flake off.

Easy to use and result was great!

I had always wanted the wood grain look garage door but did not want to spend the extra money when I purchased my new garage door. Found this product and it was fairly easy to use. It is pretty cool how they put everything you could need in the box. We bought the walnut. Overall, the first coat gave us the look we wanted, but we did go over a few spots to get a bit darker look. We used the glove and the brush.

haven't tried it yet, but it is the color the wife wanted, so we are good.

the priming/ first coat was fun and even let my daughters ( 5, 7) help. As we started to add the wood grain, the nightmare began. We couldn't figure out the right stroke and we tried everything. We tried brushing, we tried rolling and even tried using the mitt. None of it worked or looked very good. We were left with streaks everywhere, different shades of wood and lots of frustration. It's streaky, and a lot darker than was shown in the picture

Was skeptical at first. Followed the directions and the results were fantastic.
