Yes - this brush will work for that application. Thanks,
This brush is specifically designed for stains and rougher surfaces. It will not leave a good finish on interior painted surfaces. Thanks,
I suppose you could, but it might not look so smooth. This is more like a heavy mop brush for staining a fence or deck etc. i picks up a lot of material within the bristles.
You could use mineral spirits and keep it as a stain brush. The price was great so if you have a big project buy 2 and you’ll be good. I made mine a one use brush because I did days of painting the same stain. And I was hard on it but I know this could be reused. No bristles came out at all
I throw it away when Im done with it. I dont clean the brush because when Im done with it the bristles are shot anyways. - thanks - DTM Dantheman
it'll harden like any brush unless you clean it properly
If you're asking about clean up, please refer to the directions on the side of the can. However generally, after using an oil based stain, you would use mineral spirits to clean up the applicator. Several rinsings (a brush comb helps as well) until the cleaning liquid runs clear, then your last rinse before storing the brush should be with fresh water. Shake or spin the brush to remove excess moisture and hang to dry. Store in it's original brush jacket. Thanks,
Negative, I used with oil based stain and it worked great
Yes, i like the fact that you can extend it with a screw on pole.
These filaments aren't really stiff enough for a heavy bodied product like Drylok. You are better off with a 4in Polyester brush like SKU 243265. Thanks,
I have not used the brush for that purpose.
Yes
Absolutely! When I stain my deck, I use a 4' painting extension pole. A threaded broom handle will work as well. Much easier than bending over.
Yes - the handle is threaded to accept all standard extension poles. Thanks,
sure can
Yes an extension can be attached
yes
I found mine with the other brushes. They were tucked on one of the lower shelves, not hanging on wall display, but they were in an area with paint/stain brushes in my Missouri store
I found two rows of these brushes near the bottom of the regular paint brushes at my local HD store. Sorry you had so much trouble. You can also search your own local HD store for most any item on a mobile phone or computer and it gives an isle number if they have it in stock. I do that on most items i can't locate easily in the store because either no one is around to ask or they don't know where something is located. LOL :)
Every Home Depot in the city of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania has them with the other brushes. The only time I’ve ever had a hard time finding the. Is when they changed the side of the isle where the brushes were located
Yeah!
I found them with the other brushes. Not a very big display of them but they were there.
This should be taken to the store manager.
