This brush is specifically designed for stains and rougher surfaces. It will not leave a good finish on interior painted surfaces. Thanks,

I suppose you could, but it might not look so smooth. This is more like a heavy mop brush for staining a fence or deck etc. i picks up a lot of material within the bristles.

You could use mineral spirits and keep it as a stain brush. The price was great so if you have a big project buy 2 and you’ll be good. I made mine a one use brush because I did days of painting the same stain. And I was hard on it but I know this could be reused. No bristles came out at all

it'll harden like any brush unless you clean it properly

If you're asking about clean up, please refer to the directions on the side of the can. However generally, after using an oil based stain, you would use mineral spirits to clean up the applicator. Several rinsings (a brush comb helps as well) until the cleaning liquid runs clear, then your last rinse before storing the brush should be with fresh water. Shake or spin the brush to remove excess moisture and hang to dry. Store in it's original brush jacket. Thanks,

Yes, i like the fact that you can extend it with a screw on pole.

These filaments aren't really stiff enough for a heavy bodied product like Drylok. You are better off with a 4in Polyester brush like SKU 243265. Thanks,

Absolutely! When I stain my deck, I use a 4' painting extension pole. A threaded broom handle will work as well. Much easier than bending over.

Yes - the handle is threaded to accept all standard extension poles. Thanks,

Why can't these be put with all the other Brushes? I looked everywhere asked associates, no one could find them. Usually they are on a end cap. Stupid. Put them with the brushes! I don't have time to search. I'm online and it says you have 22. I just left and could not find any, Hiding them again? I was in during the winter looking for some Ame's Poly Shovels. Web site says 20. Associate tells me that HD only sells the metal shovels, which are not that good. Onsite says none to be found. I pressed the issue and guess what 20 shovels that were sitting in the sun and weather outside and were found. Somebody needs to get it together.

I found mine with the other brushes. They were tucked on one of the lower shelves, not hanging on wall display, but they were in an area with paint/stain brushes in my Missouri store

I found two rows of these brushes near the bottom of the regular paint brushes at my local HD store. Sorry you had so much trouble. You can also search your own local HD store for most any item on a mobile phone or computer and it gives an isle number if they have it in stock. I do that on most items i can't locate easily in the store because either no one is around to ask or they don't know where something is located. LOL :)

Every Home Depot in the city of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania has them with the other brushes. The only time I’ve ever had a hard time finding the. Is when they changed the side of the isle where the brushes were located

Customers say the Linzer 5-inch brush is an effective tool for staining and painting large surfaces, particularly decks and fences. Many appreciate its ability to hold a significant amount of stain, allowing for smooth and even application. The option to attach an extension pole is frequently highlighted as a major convenience, reducing the need to bend down. However, some users noted that the brush may shed bristles over time, particularly with extensive use, which can impact the overall experience.

This brush soaks up stain when I dip it in the can. When I smush the brush against the fence boards, stain comes out of the brush and goes into the wood. It makes a kind of pff-pff noise when smushing against the boards. If you get aggressive with it, it can make a flap-flap sort of sound. It did what I believe it’s supposed to do. My fence is covered in stain.

                                Did OK in difficult application
I used it to paint a wood fence. The boards had a 2 inch gap between them, creating a lot of edges to stain. Brush performed OK but the bristles were well frayed from staining edges by the time the job was complete. I threw it away since it wasn't worth cleaning. In fairness, this job would have probably been tough on any brush and the price wasn't too bad. I would probably buy it again.

                                Perfect brush for staining decks!
Great brush. Sturdy light weight. Accepts standard extension poles but check to match sizes. No loss of Bristles. Thick and wide enough to brush stain into deck boards and walls, and good for touching up. Easy cleanup for re-use many times over. Used it to brush in stain for my log house and wrap around porches! Highly recommended.
