Q:I am looking to paint a bathroom sink it’s faded and looking to make it look new what kind of paint can I use?
by|Nov 21, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question

A:  You will want to look into our small project countertop paint kits! You can find these on the Giani website as well as amazon. These kits were specifically designed to be used on bathroom vanities and islands.

Q:Can this be used to paint cabinets?
    by|Oct 28, 2023
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  The paint would be able adhere to cabinets, the application would be very difficult. Depending on the type of cabinets you have, such as raised panel, using the mitt could make the process hard. We haven't tested this look so cannot cover that application under our warranty, but if you want to go that route, we suggest using a brush and perhaps the Wood Look Front Door kits since the Garage kits have more contrast in the colors.

Q:Well, I am confused. I have been reading the Q&A in regards to new fiberglass doors. One of your answers is yes you can and then in another answer you would not recommend using it on fiberglass doors. So which is it?
      by|Oct 21, 2023
      1 Answer
      Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for reaching out to us! You are correct, Wood Look is not designed for factory finish fiberglass doors as the paint will not adhere. If you’re able to get a multi-surface primer to adhere, then it should be okay to use Wood Look over that. Please note that we cannot cover that sort of application with our limited material warranty as it would be experimental on your end.

          Waste of money
This paint made my front door look worst. This doesn’t look like wood.
          by
Love the look of this wood finish! However, in order for us to get the desired/complete coverage & actual wood finish look, It required 4 kits total to cover the back and front of our metal door and 4 shutters. Still, less expensive than purchasing a wood door and replacing shutters! Overall, we're pleased with the final results and would recommend!

Was a bit worried when the 1st coat went on but that 2nd layer works magic. It looks like a real wood door, we even did the garage to match. Definitely requires 2 coats of each and wont be much left over if any.

                Save your time and money
This was terrible! We followed the instructions step by step and the results after two coats was horrible. The fuzzies from the mitten were all over the door (and yes we did apply a generous amount of paint on the mitten to prevent this). This product doesn't even supply enough paint to get a nice and finish! The picture doesn’t look half as bad as it did up close and in person. This product took up way too much of our time and I ended up having to go buy good old Behr paint to put over this mess which was less time and money than Giani Door paint. Just writing this review to save someone else’s time and money.

We are in the process of repainting the exterior of our home and our front door needed to be changed from a dark blue to something that would compliment the new house color. I could not afford a new wood door but have always like the look. I came across Giani Wood Look Paint and was skeptical that it would look that good and be as simple as the video portrayed it to be. I have to say, it really looks better than I had hoped and is as simple as the video and written instructions claim. We have now bought two new garage doors at $380 a piece and have ordered the Giani English Oak 2 Car Garage Kit for $69. We are saving hundreds of dollars and will have the wood garage door look we love!

Doesn’t work on fiberglass doors. I didn’t know this when ordering as it does not state it on the website. Returned!
