Apparently this product is incapable of taking 90+ degree heat for more than a few days. Total waste of money! Now I'll have to go install a more traditional post - maybe I can save the mailbox itself, though it is actually too small to handle the Large Priority Mail mailing box (the box is about 3/4" too tall to fit inside).

I was worried this mailbox would be too big, or look ridiculous, but once it was in the ground I love it. It was super easy to put together, most just snaps together, only problem I had was where the back slid into a groove on the roof, the groove was pinched on both sides, I had to remove back and pry open the groove so the back would lock in properly.

My husband had the mailbox up in no time, had no problem. We think it is a very nice looking mailbox and we love it.

This mailbox is great! Easy to build and install and I'm a 59 yr old woman. It's very roomy and should be able to hold most small to medium parcels and packages.

Gibraltar Mailbox in Grand Haven Mocha ( Brown/Tans) is made of strong durable plastic and it comes with a all in one mailbox and post. You will need to have a 2 x 2 x4 to build the base for this mailbox and concrete to build a sturdy foundation for this mailbox to be mounted upon. The mailbox post slides over the 2 x4's. This mailbox is very easy to put together with snap parts that fit very well. It has a total of 8 screws to assemble this mailbox. It took me about 1 hour to assemble the mailbox and 2 hours for me to dig a hole for the 2 X 4's to be place into concrete and install those 2 x4/s The instructions could be improved as they are not very detailed and mainly has pictures, so watch those pictures closely. I had to take it apart one time because I put the wrong piece in place. You may do much better because I am a 62 year grandma. It looks very nice and it is huge and ready for large packages.

Place a 4x4 post in the ground, you'll need a post hole digger, place the stand over it, screw it into the post with the screws provided and attach the mailbox to the bracket, about 20 min. and you'll have the nicest mailbox on the block and you'll have a happy mailperson too !! You can't beat !!

This a very large mailbox that's at least double the volume of our old mailbox. It will hold more mail than we will ever get. It's made of double wall plastic that comes in 8 pieces; 6 for the mailbox, the mounting plate and the column. The look is nice and modern and will be a big improvement over our very old current one. The seams aren't finished as nicely as we would like, really shows the plastic quality. The size of this box may be best for small or home businesses, it can hold a lot. There's also a lot of assembly required, most is quite easy. The mailbox is 6 pieces that I had to assemble by sliding and snapping sections together. I did this on a rug. Only the last piece (the back) gave me problems. Make sure ALL the groves are lined up, do not use too much force or tools. I had to pull the sides back to get the back to align, no biggie just watch the alignment. The mounting plate is attached with four bolts to the bottom of the assembled mailbox. The bolts were missing so I got some #10 1 inch bolts and nuts that worked perfect. The post stands 41 inches from the ground to the bottom of the mailbox. This is the recommend height for a mailbox. This was installed up on a 6 inch curb so I may have to bury it 6 inches to get the correct height. If starting from scratch you will also need to purchase and install a 4 x 4 x 5 ft pressure treated post that the plastic post slides over and is attached with 4 screws that are provided. This will be the hardest part of the installation. Or like me just use the existing post if available, saved a lot of digging I just slide it over the existing post and had no digging. It seems like a very good box, but does look like plastic. My only concern is if it's water tight. We get a lot of strong winds and rain. Only time will tell.

Gibraltar Grand Haven All-in-One Mailbox and Post Combo is made of a double walled high impact plastic. We got a new mailbox last year. A couple of weeks ago it was found laying in the road. So, this came along at the right time. The directions, and pictures for install were great. I was concerned about the strength, and durability of this box because it was so darn easy to put together. All the parts snap and lock together. But, once they are installed they don't want to uninstall. The only screws used were 4 machine screws with hex nuts to connect the box to the GM post. And 4 high quality self threading screws to connect the GM post to the 4 x 4 post. The magnetic latch has a strong seal. The flag is strong plastic and moves with ease. The side panel for street numbers is 13 11/16" L X 3" Ht. We get a lot of small-moderate sized packages and this will save our mailgal from having to come to the front door. The construction, ease of install, and size of this box are impressive.

I did want a larger mailbox than the one I have for some of the stuff my wife orders, but this one is huge. The interior is 17" D X 9" H in the middle 7" H on the sides, easily fits a box of shoes in another box from M**Ys. The whole mailbox just snaps together and the door closure is a adjustable magnetic latch. Put the box on the base using the 4 bolts and nuts. Then we installed the post, slid it on and secured with the 4 screws, now it doesn't look as huge. Just Big.

I am so excited about this all in one mailbox and post! What a great idea and it is a needed product. It is made of heavy duty materials, the color is consistent on all parts. It does need to be assembled but the directions are very simple and 1 person should be able to handle it. The best part- no digging a hole or pouring cemenet - it will fit over my current post!

This product is simple to assemble (pieces snap into place) and install over a 4x4 wooden post. After quick assembly of the mailbox (no screws), and removal of the old mailbox, I was able to use an existing wood post. I slid the item post over the 4x4. I did cut the top of the wooden 4x4 so that the plastic sleeve post would be flush with the ground. The assembled mailbox slides and locks into place without hesitation. The holes for screws are predrilled through the plastic and it's straightforward to secure. This is an uncomplicated project. The mailbox itself is very large but looks good. Small packages will fit among the regular mail. The product has durability and strength due to the heavy plastic material.

Additional purchase needed of a mailbox anchor kit that includes a 4 x 4 wooden post and a steel drive in anchor kit. The Gibraltar post is a "slip over" post that requires the use of a wooden post that you will screw into the plastic post. The mailbox is a nice size that will hold small packages. I highly recommend this mailbox.

Holy moly, this thing is like the Daddy of all mailboxes! I wanted a large mailbox, and it is definitely HUGE. Which in my case is a good thing, but if for some reason you want a small/standard size mailbox, it will be good to know. Since I already had a wooden post in the ground, it literally took me less than 15 minutes to assemble and install this, and it looks very high-end with the base and matching box! It is a VERY sturdy mailbox... I wasn't sure about it, since when it arrived it was somewhat lightweight and it is plastic, but once you snap the pieces together, it is a self-sustaining powerhouse... I can't imagine any normal daily occurrence damaging this mailbox. The magnet holds the door closed nicely and the design makes it so the roof of it protects the door/magnet from rain or the elements. The flag goes up and down nicely, and boy does it have SPACE! I live in a somewhat rural area and if the package sent by US Mail doesn't fit in the mailbox, you have to go to the post office to pick it up (they do not deliver it to your door). I often receive small-ish packages, and was having to go regularly to pick them up. With this, even medium-sized packages will fit with no problem. See my attached photo of the mailbox easily fitting a "large flat rate box" from the post office, as well as many catalogues, with room to spare. This would be a perfect mailbox for someone with either the need for a large mailbox like I have, or for someone wanting a large, high-end looking box to go in front of a large home.

This extra large mailbox and post kit is the perfect size for receiving small packages. It also keeps things protected and dry. The complete kit is made with high impact plastic. I found the assembly to be very easy with the included instructions. I like that, since I have a 4'' x 4' post from the old installation, all had to do was remove the cross brace with the old mailbox and trim the wood post down to appropriate size and slip the plastic post over it and using the included screws, attach it to the wood post. It took about 45 minutes.

Extremely easy to assemble. I’m a USPS mail carrier and always recommend these boxes! They are huge and can fit mostly everything I ever deliver. I highly recommend this box to anyone.

This was a fairly easy replacement, and it fit on my existing 24 inch 4 x4 post.

This is a great attractive mailbox. It is well made and extra roomy for packages. Installation was very easy since we already had the 4x4 post already in the ground from our previous mailbox.

This is the 5th mailbox I have had to replace due to the careless drivers in my neighborhood. It seems with the plastic ones, when they get hit it just breaks the mailbox part and doesn't actually damage the 4x4 post underneath. It looks nice but is certainly not the most solid mailbox, the mailbox shakes when you open it, but it was inexpensive, easy to replace and when it gets hit again (which I'm sure it will) it will hopefully not damage the 4x4 underneath which is definitely the hardest part to replace.

Very happy with my new mailbox and so is my postal deliver. The mailbox is extra large so fits most packages that through the US Postal Service.
