UPDATE RE: My March 2022 Review
After just a few months of normal use, the paint on the hose is coming off in chunks. Fortunately, I was able to use the hose from the old handheld (which was longer AND oil-rubbed bronze) to replace the flaking, mismatched black hose with what now looks like an upgrade. We still like the spray, which works fine, and if you are replacing an old handheld spray that has a hose that is in good condition, I would still recommend for those seeking an upgrade/refresh on a budget.

Plastic peels
The hose is steel but it is coated with a bronze paint that peels off pretty quickly.

Terrible Water Pressure...
I purchased this to replace a 10+ year old similar shower head. My previous shower head (a different brand) had excellent water pressure.
This seems to be a common complaint in the reviews. I wish I would have read the reviews before buying it instead of after.
I will be returning this for a different brand. Thankfully Home Depot has a good return policy, but they shouldn’t be selling such a poor quality product.

I liked the shower head on this unit with the 5 shower patterns and a pause feature. Unfortunately that was all I liked about this shower kit. While I understand and appreciate the use of lighter weight materials in the shower head so it will not cause damage if it falls or drops the Shower Arm Mount leaves a lot to be desired- it is made out of a lightweight plastic. Only the hose end of the shower head fits into it- and with the length of the shower head handle there is a lot of leveraged force on the mount. As soon as the mount tilts a little the shower head which fits loosely into it falls out. Also since the head fits in loosely it is hard to keep it in position/angled the way I want the spray to go. I am removing it and reinstalling my old shower head. The Shower Arm Mount needs to be redesigned.

becareful...
I really wanted to love this showerhead because it looks great with my newly remodeled bathroom. However, after a week of use, my family realized how unsecured and dangerous it is. We all experienced the showerhead dropping on top of our heads just seconds after we turn off the water. It appears when the water is off, it does not have enough weight to support it being held up (showerhead handle does not fit or lock with the holder/neck part). Not sure if i can return it but will try... it’s really unsafe.

Install was a piece of cake. I think it took me more time getting this kit out of the package than it did to actually install it. I took off the old shower head (picture 2) and installed the new one (picture 1) in only a few minutes. The shower head came with some Teflon thread tape, so I used that on all of the threads, although it may not be necessary. I can't give 5's for quality and value. The piece that screws onto the shower outlet is plastic. The entire shower head is plastic (as far as I can tell). My experience with all plastic shower heads is that after a while they inevitably leak. Time will tell though! This is in our second/guest bathroom, so occasional use shouldn't be a problem. Overall, it looks good and works well with the multiple spray settings.

Great First Impressions...
We are using this in combination with a Glacier Bay 8.8" Fixed Rain Shower Head--both mounted on our existing diverter. Installation was super easy. There was no issue with the handheld falling out because we installed a wall-mounted bracket with variable positions lower down, which worked well. The pressure is not extreme, but these are water-saving fixtures & the two together provide all the spray variations. My only criticism is that the hose is black & not oil-rubbed bronze.

Husband installed easily. Removable shower head is perfect for pets and kids. Water pressure isn’t super powerful with the water saver in place, but definitely enough to get the shampoo out of my long hair!

Disappointed. The collar that holds the wand is not tapered to match the taper on the wand, so it frequently falls out with a crash against the shower pan.

Hello JOHN. We apologize for the issues you are having with your handheld shower head. There should be no issues with the wand fitting into the holder even though it is not tapered. We suggest you give the Home Depot Customer Care Department a call at 1-877-527-0313 so that they can troubleshoot to find out why the handheld is not staying in place.
