Power grab by Loctite a MUST!!
So we bought liquid nails to put the tiles up and the first night it looked really good. We woke up the next morning and it looked like complete crap. We were puzzled because it looked so good night before. We read the liquid nails packaging and it cannot be used on plastic tiles specifically. The liquid nails was eating away at the plastic giving it a wavy crinkled look that made it look awful. After taking down the tiles scraping the liquid nails off the ceiling, purchasing more tiles, and applying the powergrab by loctite it looks amazing!! DO NOT USE LIQUID NAILS ON THIS PRODUCT....USE THE RECOMMENDED POWERGRAB BY LOCTITE!!!! Learn from our mistake!

I couldn't be more happy. i get so many complaints on my kitchen ceiling. Surprisingly easy to install. I also didn't use glue. I ended up using decorative nails.

Lightweight and easy to adhere to ceiling. Product arrived with some damage and creases in sheet. Not as glossy as we had hoped but a couple of coats of urethane and it looks good. HD should ship product in sturdier packaging.

Yes this product is very thin styrene (plastic), but once it's up you can't tell. This is a decorative item, not structural. That said, handling these large sheets is nearly impossible with one person as they are floppy. Having a second person with two yard sticks holding up one end while you affix the other helps. As for attaching to the ceiling - I have old plaster and lath, with the plaster being very chalky. Needless to say no glue worked - tried Loctite Power Grab and Liquid Nails, no luck with either. Last hope was a brad nailer, but the brads initially shot straight through the panels. Eventually found a sweet spot with 2" brads, PSI dialed down to 50-60 psi, and shooting them in at a 45-degree angle. Looks great, may eventually paint them but they look good even unpainted. Brads are unnoticeable unless you're looking for them.

Don't !!!
save yourself a bunch of time and money. They look good once they are up...but getting them up is the issue. The surface better be totally level, use the correct glue, and when putting them up you had better be sure every single one is exactlyon where it needs to be or the whole pattern goes off quickly. and even when they are put up perfectly..YOU can still see all the seams. I thought this would be a time saver and it was the furthest thing from it. I will NEVER use these again nor will I ever recommend them. Worst decision I have ever made in years of home renovation. Live and learn I guess. Sad thing is at the cost of them, you cant even return them because now they have glue on them.....You have one shot to get them up correct or the product will tear and cause damage to surface if you try to take them off to fix something....originally ordered 36, then had to tear down and replace 11..Over $700 into this and it looks horrible!..still trying to figure how how to at least get the seams to stay down. At this point may staple the whole thing and paint over it....We could have had a local professional drywall finisher come in to swirl it for a third of what we got stuck paying..not to mention the glue cost.....

These are a great alternative to finished drywall. Not tin though. They are easy to work with but flimsy so easier to install with two people. The only complaint is where 4 tile corners come together and overlap, that tends to stick out.more than I like. But still much better than drywall. Too: use enough glue on the edges. On the inside spaces, a small dab is enough. I used a glob and it shows through as a lump.

Just be mindful of the fact that at the intersecting corners they can be 4 tiles deep so some touch up may be necessary.
Looks great.

It looked good on paper. However, when placed on the ceiling, the seams were very visible AND the reason I bought them was to cover up discrepancies in the ceiling. Quite the contrary! THEY ENHANCED THE IMPERFECTIONS!

Beautiful Looking in the Box and upon the ceiling. The tiles brighten up my kitchen gave the ceiling character and Dimension. The contractor stated they were easy to apply, not difficult to measure and cut, and one person could do the installation. I love the aesthetic and look of my new ceiling. Satisfying.

I used this product for both my living room and kitchen ceilings. My contractor felt that it was easy to use, and looks great when finished. I didn't paint the living room ceiling, but did paint the kitchen one gloss white. They both look great!
