Bought 2 and 3 days of troubleshooting later I brought them back. Shame because I love Google products but they just wouldn't connect to my thermostat.

Bought this and a Nest Thermostat. On the front of this box it says "For Google Nest thermostats" No asterisks, so one would assume it works with them all. Nope! For some reason, it only works with the 3rd gen and E type. Why? Who knows

I love this little product so much more than I thought I would! In fact, I love it so much I want to buy a few more for other rooms of my house. I bought a single device just to test it out and now I wish I would have purchased a multi-pack.

This was an additional device. I now have 3 remotes and the thermostat. I am very pleased with the system, ease of set up and energy efficiency.

Annoying that Nest doesn’t allow you to schedule use of its sensors the same way you schedule the overall temp, but this does work as advertised. Helped us ensure our bedroom, which would always be a few degrees warmer than the rest of the house, gets to the desired temp at night.

It really helps to allow the thermostat to sense and control the temperature from a location in the house other than where the original thermostat was installed.

We live in a multi story house with the thermostat downstairs. It is great have having control of the temperature in select places.

This was a great product at first. Being able to run the HVAC based on the temperature in a different room is pretty useful. The sensor keeps disconnecting though. After about a week, I got a notification that the thermostat can no longer connect to the sensor. When I check the connection in the app, everything looks fine. I can resolve this by removing and reconnecting the sensor, but I would have to do this every week or so. It's not as if the sensor is far away from the thermostat. The only thing between them is a wooden floor. On top of that Google seems to have completely abandoned old Nest thermostats. There has not been a software update in years. Very disappointing! Am considering switching over to Ecobee.

We have had this model before and it work good for years. We purchased in our new home and after 6 months it randomly shows us a Y1 error saying the wire is not plugged in and doesn’t shut off so it will get really cold because the thermostat is not shutting off when it is supposed to and running our bill up. We have to go outside and unplug our unit and the error goes away. Home Depot can’t exchange it and the Nest customer service was a waste of time not helpful at all.

Very disappointed, it doesn’t work with our nest.

Works great! The sun comes through one of my windows and hits the thermostat that's on the wall and causes the air conditioner to come on every day no matter what temperature of the house is. This sensor solve the problem completely because I moved it out of the path of the sunshine.

I would recommend this thermostat I was able to heat the house evenly by using placing the sensor in the area of the house where it was colder I wold get this thermostat

Instructions need a bit of improvement. Checked online as well and it says you don’t need a “C” wire, but my wouldn’t work until I got one. App is pretty cool as well!

Exactly what i needed to help make adjustments on house temperature.

Work ok had a hard time with the setup for steam heat . The c wire connections was a issue u will find out with almost every review.
