Wasnt as easy as they said to connect. Had to pull the battery and let it sit for 5 min before retrying in which it fanally connected. Distance for communication is really good. Definitely recommend if you have a larger spread out floor plan.

Limited to 4 preconfigured time windows
Unlike the thermostat, the sensor is limited to 4 time windows:
Morning: 7 am to 11 am
Midday: 11 am to 4 pm
Evening: 4 pm to 9 pm
Night: 9 pm to 7 am
These time windows were not compatible with our schedule, so returned the sensor back to the store. Not sure why the sensor can't be defined for any time I prefer in the schedule.

Terrible
Physical installation was a breeze. However these do not do what they are supposed to do. We have two units and they will not connect to one another. We spoke to tech support for hours and there was no good solution. Their bottom line was to create two “homes” and switch between them to control each thermostat. This was an unacceptable option as we also purchased nest compatible accessories and sensors that would not work properly with a divided account. THEN when we connected the sensors, they will not stay connected. We are technologically saavy and have wifi cameras, alarm systems, etc. This is a terrible product.

- Remove the Nest Learning Thermostat from the home that you are not going to use. Go to Nest App>Tap the Nest Learning Thermostat icon>Settings>Remove (at the bottom).
- On the thermostat itself, reset the WWN connection. Go to Settings>Reset WWN connection, and wait for the thermostat to reboot completely.
- Connect your Nest Learning Thermostat to your Wi-Fi manually.
- Add the Nest Learning Thermostat on your preferred structure.

We just moved into a new home and have had a temperature imbalance in the upstairs bedrooms. These Google Nest Temperature Sensors have come in handy proving to the builder there is an HVAC issue. They we very easy to setup with my Google Nest thermostat and can be used to control the main unit based on the time of day and temperature in a specific room where the sensor is placed. We have had them a couple of weeks now and I am thinking of adding more sensors for a couple of additional rooms. This product is a must for anyone with a compatible Nest thermostat.

The Nest Temperature Sensor has made a major difference in the room we put it in, my kid was alway complaining about the temperature in this room, but now with the sensor, it’s toasty and no more complaints. And I can program it for certain times of the day/night, so it works for everyone. We are definitely thinking of getting more for other areas of the house. This is a win/win!!!

It works as intended. You can set up Nest thermostat to control AC or furnace based on any connected remote sensor for better temperature stability.
