I can definitely feel the difference and my ac keeps up with the FL heat now after adding about 13 inches. I run my house at 72 year round but was only able to get to 76 during 96 degree weather. Now my ac keeps up without an issue and the comfort factor is significantly better in all rooms. Make sure to verify if your lighting and fixtures in the ceiling are insulation contact rated.

We chose this one over the pink spray insulation because it's more sound proof. I felt like Greenfiber was extremely messy compared to Pink. Also no control switch at end of hose like other brand... on a positive note Greenfiber is 1/3 the cost.

It worked well, but the blower machine is very difficult to transport and is very hard to operate. It kept clogging. The best place to operate the machine is outside since it’s very dusty!!

Actually insulates better than blown fiberglass for a smaller cost. Only downfall is that in order to feed the hopper properly you must have someone breaking up 1/2 packs into smaller pieces so the machine can discharge better

Brow in my exterior wall for heat insulation and interior wall for sound proof. Can reduce 4 to 5 degree of temperature. Sound proof is just fine, due to I drill only one 4" hole at the center and I can't blow all the way up to the top. 2 holes top and bottom should be better. I'm happy with the result

While I understand it's made from recycled paper it also included plastic and even metal wire. The paper was not ground fine enough and when applying to walls chunks of cardboard and wire would clog the funnel. It might work fine if just applying to an attic. I would not use it again.

Took two mornings to blow in 70 bags. It's extremely dusty. Problem is now every time my air conditioner turns on, all I can smell is the insulation. When I get home from work and walk in the front door I can hardly breathe because of the insulation smell. When I wake up in the morning my throat hurts and it's a little hard to talk. I went up in the attic a week after blowing in the last bag hoping to find a hole in my ducting that would explain the smell but everything is covered in the stuff.

Also had bad batch that smelled like fuel, I was planning on topping off old blown in insulation before adding batt so just staged the bags in the attic to hand spread. Next day after work and the entire house wreaked of a fuel like odor almost instant headache, I promptly removed and put outside, and returned to Home Depot. Thank goodness I hadn't actually spread it around yet. I did notice a smell when I picked up them up, but didn't seem overwhelming until it was contained in the house.

No problems, went as plan.

I know quality of materials have been alittle unpredictable over that past few years. I noticed when I purchased this product for my most recent project, the cellulose had a much more brown look to it. It seems that they have sourced more brown cardboard into this product versus the old formula of mostly news paper. I did notice far less debris in this newer batch with almost no plastic or other crap getting caught on the augers inside the machine. I see this as a big plus.

Only issue was with the blowers. First one didnt work and had to go to another store to get one. The new one work but was intermittent in the stream of insulation. The job took hours longer than when we used one years ago. We ran out of time and could have blown in to a higher depth.

Blown-in insulation exceeded my expectations! It saved me money on bills and the free tool rental made it affordable and convenient. Highly recommended for homeowners looking for energy efficiency and cost savings.

Bought 34 bags to do above all 3 stalls in the garage. Estimated 34 bags for 13inches deep and it worked out just as estimated. The machine worked great as well. With two people this job did not go bad at all. We ended up getting the 34 bags spread in just over 4 hours with 2 breaks. We found the key is to pull chunks out to throw in and not the whole bag at once. Also use a hammer to break it up on the top before it gets to the rotating forks.

It seems okay to use

The insulation is great. Home Depot's service providing a blower for installation was abysmal. After multiple attempts to rent one from multiple Home Depots only to have all of them cancelled, often at the last minute, I had to rent a machine from a tool rental company at significant expense.

The product was fantastic but the delivery system was less than stellar Probably ready for a replacement or rebuild

I bought this for the ceiling crawl space of my 1980's condo that doesn't have any insulation in the interior walls. This is especially noticeable in the bathroom and laundry room where I can hear rushing water and mechanical noises from above and below. The good news, the noise difference afterwards is night and day. It's not perfect but it helps so much in reducing the amount of noise. The bad news, it makes a huge dusty mess when sprayed in. Also, the blower machine is ungodly heavy.

Great product. Very easy DIY!

Worked pretty good. Hose would clog once in a while.
