This hose works great. It attaches to the pool skimmer suction adapter without any issue, and it attaches to the vaccuum head without any issue. It feels sturdy and I expect it to last for many seasons. In addition to being used for the vaccuum, it can also be attached to the pool filter. I am using it to direct the waste-out water away from my pool equipment. It's much better than the cheap vinyl hose that some pool companies leave their customers.

The HDX 35 foot blue vacuum hose is a solid and effective tubular hose that works with manual vacuum set ups in pools. The 1.5” hose connects to a vacuum head and your suction head skimmer (you’ll have to buy those separately) and the one end even has a swivel cuff attachment that makes it easy to rotate so you don’t get kinked. 35’ worth of hose means you can clean most small and medium sized pools but you’ll need another hose and attachment if you have a large pool.

This pool cleaning hose is a good length and seems to be constructed to last a while. There is more than enough length to meet my pool cleaning needs and the only issue I had was trying to get the water going through the hose to create suction (I fixed that with putting the garden hose on high and created enough force to start off the suction. Easy to use and very helpful in keeping our pool clear of debris.

This is a very nice pool hose. It feels very strong and should last a while longer than my old hose. The old one was not very strong and only lasted a few years. This hose seems much better. My pool is 42’ feet long but the 35’ of this hose does reach the shallow end from my pool skimmer in the deep end. Also I love the swivel end so there will not be any issues with the hose kinking. My previous hose did not have this and that’s probably why it broke, along with the weak construction it had. I’m very happy with this one so far and glad I got it.

We used this Vacuum Hose as a drain hose from the pool pump to the ditch in the rear of the yard. We buried the hose 6 inches underground and the hose has worked well. I buried the hose so that I could continue to cut the grass without interference from the Pool Hose. At the end of the hose, I placed a fine mesh screen to ensure that rodents. bugs would not make there way back up yjr hose. After a months use, the hose worked very welll and adequeately drained the excess pool water into the ditch

My current pool vacuum hose is over 10 years old, so I got this hose to have on hand as a replacement. Surprisingly, this HDX brand hose is made in the USA! This seems like a good quality vacuum hose and looks very similar to my old vacuum hose. The brand new plastic hose feels a bit stiff, but I suspect it will loosen up after a year of use. The hose ends are attached firmly and the plastic is good quality. It looks like a good quality vacuum hose and I look forward to a summer with a nice clean pool!

The HDX Spiral Wound 35ft. by 1.5" diameter Swimming Pool Vacuum Hose for In and Above Ground Pools is made much better than the shorter hose that I currently use. It was my second inexpensive hose that I am replacing, as the first one split. This is heavy duty and reinforced, so I don't think I will have that problem with this new hose. My above ground pool is 16× 24, so this hose is slightly longer than I need, but that's not an issue at all. I like the HDX brand in storage bins, too.

Finally found a vacuum hose that is sturdy and connects with no issues. This hose is heavy duty and connected to the vacuum head with no problem. The hose doesn't kink and is very flexible. Will make cleaning the pool an easy task. Easy to roll back up and store for future uses. Long enough to reach half way into our pool. Also fits onto our automatic vacuum without needing additional hose.

This is about as good a hose as any, and at a very reasonable price point. It is very flexible and has a little bit of a spring to it (not much). The nozzle is about 1-5/8" wide at the end and tapers back. We had no issues connecting it to all of the standard attachments and outlets. It does come packaged in a soil and has a slight tendency to stay coiled / return to the coil shape. I'm hopeful that will sort itself out after a few days in the sun, but it's flexible enough that we can work around that if it doesn't. I will also add that I am a beekeeper and we are always on the hunt for "smooth wall" vacuum hose (we use smooth wall hose in "bee vacs" to extract honeybees from houses). Some pool hose is smooth, unfortunately this one is not. It has a slight ripple to the inner wall where each raised blue section is. That should not discourage anyone from getting this pool hose, it does it's intended job just fine, I only mention it in case there are other beekeepers out there looking for smooth vac hose.

HDX Spiral-Wound 35 ft. x 1 1/2 in. Diameter Swimming Pool Vacuum Hose for In-Ground and Above-Ground Pools - Attractively packaged and a nice addition to my pool cleaning arsenal. The 1 1/2 diameter matches most pool accessories and the swivel cuffs make it easy to use without having to "wrestle" with the hose getting tangled. If you can't pick it up locally and have to order it mine came in a destroyed package but the hose survived!

The HDX Spiral-Wound 35'x1 1/2" pool Vacuum Hose is a great value and excellent product. We've had issues with the pool vacuum hose that came with our pool since it was new. The hose would routinely come off the filter attachment, and try to coil itself up in the pool. The HDX hose didn't slip off once, and was very easy to maneuver while cleaning, and recoil once done. Very happy with this product.

SUMMARY: NICE HOSE THAT MEETS OUR NEEDS BACKGROUND: Our old pool vacuum hose was starting to crack and leak air. The chance to evaluate the HDX Vacuum hose was a welcome opportunity. NOTE: This isn’t a magic pool hose. It suffers the same shortcomings of hoses in its price range, specifically it is difficult to uncoil. FIT AND FINISH: Comparable to other hoses in its price range. FEATURES: From the Home Depot page, with my comments as appropriate. (NOTE: Someone must have been paid by the word to write the DETAILS section of the product page. They mentioned the swivel cuff about 8 times, and the spiral design and high flow rate numerous other times. I cut out most of the duplications.) • Top-of-the-line construction means high performance for this 35 ft. vacuum hose - For use with in-ground and above-ground pools. o I honestly can’t see any significant differences between the way this hose is constructed and any similar hoses. Time will tell. • The spiral-wound design provides the flexibility needed so you don’t have to fight with your hose as you circumnavigate the pool while cleaning. o This isn’t something new, but the design does give excellent flexibility. • An integrated swivel cuff is provided for attachment directly to any vacuum head to help maintain a kink-free cleaning experience. o I think this is an essential feature for any pool hose. I hate “untwisting” hoses and the swivel cuff helps the hose unwind while using attachments. • Crush- UV- chemical- and weather-resistant, this hose is durable and made for season-after-season use. o Again, all essential for a pool vacuum hose. • 35 ft. x 1 1/2 in. diameter, this hose provides maximum water flow rate due to its spiral design. o The hose is long enough to reach anywhere in our 19x36 pool with minimal effort, but 40 feet would have been MUCH better. • This is not made to work on automatic suction type cleaners, (or robotic) pool cleaners. • For proper suction and maximum performance, it is essential to prime the hose by filling entirely with water before use, which can be done by holding the hose under the water until the hose starts to sink to the bottom of the pool. o Filling the hose…a necessary evil for all pool owners. The slight buoyancy of the hose keeps it from sinking when full. • The SWIVEL CUFF end connects directly onto the VACUUM HEAD and the non-swivel end connects to the skimmer. • For use with telescopic pole & vacuum head (sold separately.) • For use with most pool vacuum heads. • Extruded flexible EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate) OPERATION: • CON: If you haven’t used a pool vacuum hose before, be prepared for a certain amount of frustration. The hose is flexible, but really likes to stay coiled up, just like every other pool hose I’ve owned. Convincing it to unroll and then stay that way is a constant battle. If the HDX hose didn’t suffer from that common characteristic of pool hoses, it would have a better review. • I put my cleaning head on the non-swivel end, attach it to the cleaning pole, then push that end of the hose under the water. I push the rest of the hose underwater until it is full, then plug it in to the skimmer vacuum connection. SUMMARY: A good vacuum hose. Worth the cost in my opinion. PROS: CONS: Coil memory makes it hard to keep uncoiled during use.

I have taken care of my 24' above ground pool for 16 years. Over that time I have had several different pool hoses, but this is my first from The Home Depot's store brand HDX. Overall, it is fine. There were no annoying pin size holes, it was packaged well, and the length was great for my size pool. However, the white ends were definitely a bit thin and will definitely wear out over time or crack easily.

In my professional opinion this is a strong and durable hose to use on your pool vacuum system. The ends are super duty and I couldn't pull them off. After I stepped on the hose many times it would bounce back each time to its normal shape. In rolling the hose up it was virtually impossible for me to kink the hose. It basically lives up to all it claims to be and I would recommend it for all pool owners everywhere.

Handles all the key functions perfectly: couplings don't leak, the hose ends grip the vac head and skimmer couplings very tightly, the swivel cuff at the vac head performs as designed so no need to pivot the pole to deal with direction changes and handles UV 24x7. For a residential application like ours, we don't need to spend more - this is perfect. We've had hoses from this top-rated manufacturer for many years and they handle the UV well, work well in cold water and last the do not restrict flow in any perceptible way. The most important things we look for is the ability to work even if the water in the skimmer is low, sticking to the vac head even in low temperatures (fall, etc.) and to not leak when vacuuming the pool stairs. These handle those requirements. Some hoses color code the swivel cuff to help avoid connecting the wrong end to the vac head, but even though both ends of this hose are white, the swivel cuff end's marking is embossed, so as long as we remember to check, we should be ok. We are very pleased with this hose and its performance and highly recommend it.

Excellent hose for pool cleaning. 35 feet gives you plenty of hose to reach even the most massive pools. The hose wall is corrugated so it will not collapse under suction. One end is a swivel, the other end is a solid mount. This also works great for cleaning ponds, if you have a large pond skimmer Also, as a side tip, to drain a pond or pool, this large collapse free hose works perfectly if you use a shop vac to start suction on one end and siphon the pool with it. Highly recommended!

As a utility vacuum hose, this provides excellent service. Having seen it used by others in connection with sump pump outflows and swimming pool cleaning, I thought it useful to extend the reach of one of my vacuums. The hose is highly flexible, yet very crush-resistant. It trains neatly for stowage - just as it is packaged new. See photograph 1. Recently I obtained a dust separator (vacuum powered cyclone) at H.D. It works swell, but once I put it in series with my shop vacuum (also sourced from H.D.), it made my vacuum a bit less mobile. So, I reasoned that I could set those two (See photograph 2.) in the middle of my basement - but still reach its four corners, if I had an extended reach hose. Convoluted hoses such as this have served me well in the past; but many are soft vinyl and, eventually, their end fittings fail. Such was the fate of my former vacuum hose in the basement. See photograph 3. This newer hose retains as much flexibility and adds greater crush-resistance. It also is more scuff-resistant. Not too gingerly, I tug it along the concrete floor and drag it around corners and obstacles without ill effect. So I expect to get a greater service life out of it with less abrasion (and accompanying soiling) of its exterior. Thirty-five feet is an impressive reach, but since I often generate piles of sawdust and insulation fibers and mounds of foam cuttings I happily would invest in a larger (2-inch diameter or greater) and perhaps longer version of this hose. That would become a very desirable asset in my shop and would work well with my self-powered dust collector.

This is a common and necessary accessory for any pool owner. The 1.5 inch hose cuffs fits into most in-ground pool skimmers and vacuum attachments. One cuff swivels which allows kink-free use and maneuverability when vacuuming your pool bottom. The 35 foot hose reaches from the skimmer just to the end of my 28 foot pool, with a bit of a stretch. If your pool is larger, I recommend a longer hose. There is no warranty information.

Really nice vacuum hose at the price point. You can buy heavier-duty hose - at about 2x the price - and maybe get 10 years of life instead of the 7-9 or so you'll likely get out of this one (if my last few are any example). The swivel end-fitting (for the vacuum head-end) is a must. The 35' length is plenty for pools up to about 32' in length. While you can kink it, you pretty much have to intend to do so.

Very pleased with this hose. Our old one was never stored correctly, and was starting to fall apart. I was slightly apprehensive with this one, just because it's only 35' and our pool is 36' long, but with our skimmer being midway, this shorter length is actually vastly better. The shorter length is much easier to manage, and I have no issues vacuuming the entire pool. I really appreciate how one end is labeled as the vacuum head end, as it really does make a difference! The end fits very snuggly, so I don't have to worry about it falling off anymore. Very pleased with this hose.

This HDX 35-foot-long pool vacuum hose is just right for my pool. It is just flexible enough to follow the vacuum head easily all over the bottom of the pool. The swivel end lets it do that without getting all kinked up. The end cuffs are a little longer than the hose that this hose is replacing which allow the cuffs to fully and securely engage the vacuum head and also to connect deeply into the skimmer outlet. The blue and white colors fit right in to the poolside atmosphere. Overall a nice pool vacuum hose.

HDX 35ft pool hose is the bees knees. I mean really what can you say about a pool hose? Its sturdy, good size for my pool and made of high quality materials. We have a stock tank and this reaches all the way around. I like how this doesn't get tangled or kinked. Doesn't get moldy or musty either. Disconnect the vacuum and hang up to dry when your done.

This HDX Spiral bound 35 foot x 1 1/2 inch diameter swimming pool vacuum house will work for both inground and above ground swimming pools. It is made for cleaning the pool using a manual vacuum head. This is not made to work on automatic suction type cleaners, (or robotic) pool cleaners. If you did, then the hose would collapse from the high suction. I have a 28 foot pool as you can see in the pictures below, this vacuum hose works great since you always have extra hose to spare to clean. It has a swivel cuff to allow for kink free hose which helps a lot when you are busy cleaning and you don't have to stop to untangle it. Be sure to submerge in water before you start cleaning so it will have a better suction level. It needs to be completely filled for good suction pressure. It is crush and UV chemical- and weather-resistant, this hose is durable and made for season-after-season use.

This is a great pool vacuum hose, I have a 24ft pool but for a small price difference I went for the 35ft hose. It makes getting around my pool and deck really easy. The hose fits my standard vac well, it is nice and snug so there is no leaking around the intake so it helps with good suction. Both ends have a swivel at the connectors to reduce twisting. The hose seam sturdy and well built. I have had a pool for 20+ years and several hoses in that time. I am happy with my purchase and recommend this vacuum hose.

The packaging was good and arrived undamaged. The hose measured 35 feet end-to-end per the description. This hose is one single piece unlike other sectional vacuum hoses and is of good quality and material. A nice feature is the swivel ends that worked well to prevent kinks while using the pool vacuum. One issue I had was the opening of the swivel end is 1.5” per description. The hose did not fit in my hose inlet on the side wall of my pool which is only 1” wide. I had to run the hose through my skimmer. I will need to buy a reducer to use the side wall inlet that is typically installed with the newer pools. It was easy to store away for future use and coiled up easily. I highly recommend this hose and it is proudly made in the USA.

This 35 foot vacuum hose is a perfect addition to my pool maintence. Although I have an infloor cleaning system some grit does occasionally find its way to my pool bottom. I caution any new pool owners to watch a video on how to properly use a manual vacuum to avoid having your pool pump lose its prime. I connected the swivel fitting to my vacuum head and held the other endo over one of my pools return ports until air bubbles quit coming out and plugged it into my skimmer. My pool is now cleaner than ever.

Pick up this pool vacuum hose from the Home Depot line of products and have to say that seems like it is made of quality material and should last at least a few seasons along with the vacuum that is of the same line. Home Depot has his line called HDX I want lots of items from it and have not yet been disappointing you can save yourself a few bucks

We are pleased with vacuum hose in every way. It arrived very quickly! We were anxious to vacuum before dirt and algae got too far ahead of us. Of course this is new and time will tell, but out of the box the quality of the hose and fittings seems to be top notch! We are excited to put it to good use. My only concern as we were unpack the hose.... I love that it is kink free. One more thing....this is fairly light. not too light that it feels cheap. Weight is a plus!

I just recently acquired this HDX 35 foot vacuum hose as a back up if my main hose snags or gets a hold in it. This type of hose is great for about any vaccum head and is long enough to cover your entire pool and get it clean. It attached easily and features a swivel cuff for kink free maneuverability. The smooth spiral wound design aids in flexibility and ensures maximum water flow rate. It is great to have a back up hose in an emergency.

Hose lasted 3 weeks until it collapsed in on itself.
