The HDX pool hose is 35 ft in length and is ideal for in ground pools to be used with a telescopic pole and manual vacuum cleaner. The automatic vacuum cleaner I owe doesn’t suck out leaves, so from time to time I have to use the manual vacuum to get rid of the leaves. The 1.5 inch diameter is compatible with standard pool drain without need of any additional adapters. The swivel end really makes things easier to navigate the vacuum in the pool. The overall quality of the hose is quite good that it can be bent around without getting kinks or getting crushed. This makes it great both during usage and for storing. The hose is long enough to cover my pool surface end to end.

This 35 ft. x 1.5 in. Swimming Pool Vacuum Hose from Home Depot is perfect for my needs. This vacuum hose is a great replacement for my old one I use with my 18’ dia. above ground pool. This vacuum hose is a nice length which allows me to reach the width of my pool. I like the smooth spiral wound design giving me the flexibility, flow rate, and kink-free maneuverability while cleaning the pool.

We needed a new pool vacuum hose and chose this one by HDX. It is nice and long (35'), perfect for our needs. It seems to be a good quality with a secure connection, although we had a little trouble securing it to the skimmer (it popped off a couple of times in the water), but we pressed harder and it did secure. It has a swivel cuff and the hose is flexible and coils and uncoils easily. We would recommend it.

We have an above ground pool. This vacuum hose is a great replacement for our pool. Pool replacements are expensive and you will just need something all of sudden so it is nice to have a back up especially in Arizona where things rot so quickly. This vacuum hose is a nice length which will help us to be able to make it completely across our pool. It definitely met our expectations

This pool vacuum hose is very sturdy and well made. The connections fit great and snug so when you use it with the water pressure it doesn't blow off the connections. The ends swivel or rotate. The material that it is made out of is strong and not very heavy to use. It is flexible enough so that when you are using it it doesn't get tangled up or pulls on the connections. Excellent product.

The seal at suction end is tight with no loss of suction. You will get all the suction draw your pump can provide. It is a little bit too stiff to be used with an automatic pool cleaner. It does a great job cleaning the pool with a proper head. The 35 foot length was perfect for our pool. Another plus is that it is made in America and backed by Home Depot. Proper Pool care requires a little effort and this hose helps makes the job easier.

Face it, you are here because you either need a hose for the pool or you need a replacement. The selections can be incredibly confusing. This 35 ft. x 1.5 in. Swimming Pool Vacuum Hose by HDX is a perfect fit for either new or replacement reasons. I, personally, needed a replacement hose for my pool. This hosepipe not only fits my vacuum without any adapters but is the right length. My pool is 35’ long and the hose, when connected to the filter, is able to reach from one end to the other without having to stretch which is critical. The swivel cuff is a must. If you are new to owning a pool, the swivel cuff saves you a LOT of trouble. The pipeline is rugged enough to handle the dragging on concrete without fear of splitting or breaking (as in lesser models). When not in use, it is easy to roll up for storage (in my case a wall hanger) which is another plus considering this hosepipe is well-built and weighs in at 11 pounds. The ends are 1.5 inches in diameter. So, if you are looking for a hose spec., that is a huge help. The line has performed well and I am very happy for all the above stated reasons. Lots of pool hoses on the market and it’s confusing but the 35 ft. with the 1.5” in ends swimming pool vacuum hose by HDX is just what was needed and excellent quality. Highly recommend.

Was in need of a replacement hose when this one came along. Seems to be well made. I like that on the end that attaches to the vacuum head swivels. The swivel connection to the hose appears solid. Only time will tell. Had a hard time slipping the other end on to the skimmer adapter. A few minutes with a hair dryer and no problem sliding it on. Over all worth the price.

The swivel end fits right into my vacuum, non swivel end connects to the skimmer. The swivel end keeps the hose from kinking and works great when you are manual cleaning of the pool, this one is not for automatic or robotic pool cleaners.

I was recently on the hunt for a solution for my Vacuum hose when i stumbled on this one. Reasonably priced very long hose. This is intended to be used for pool cleaning. i need one for my shop vac that is not as cheap & weak as most that are available. The quality of this hose is GREAT. It can be bent a lot without kinking or crushing. The ends are well built & swivel on the hose. the ends are not the size i would need for my application but i will address that .

Excellent pool hose at a competitive price. This is the standard size hose width 1.5" for most large pool implementations. It has a swivel cuff that attaches to the vacuum head which makes it easier to maneuver under water. My pool is 36' x 18' and this 35' hose works well since my skimmer is about 10 feet from one end. I am replacing my previous HDX pool house that has served us well for many years. It probably would have lasted longer if we had not inadvertently ran over it with the car. Regardless I continued to use it with at first some gray duct tape. I later added the yellow duct tape as other leaks popped up. Yes I am frugal. One thing I do is store the hose in a cool place away from the hot sun. In my opinion it extends the life of the hose and reduces the potential to fail.

My old pool hose had cracked from years of use and I needed a new one. I picked this guy up as replacement towards the end of the season. I used it a few times before I winterized the pool. It worked great and I had no complaints. The connections were secure and the hose felt very durable. I used it with a standard vacuum head and a telescoping pole and. It kept my pool clean.

Pool Vacuum Hose This is a 35 foot 1.5 inch pool vacuum hose with standard slip connectors at both ends. It has white swivel cuffs for connecting to pool vacuum head. It is light weight, and flexible. It coils nicely for storage but does not kink easily. My really old pool vac hose was cracked/leaking, and this new HDX 35 foot hose is a perfect replacement. Works great.

Even though this is labeled as a swimming pool hose it can be used for other purposes. I hooked it up to my carpet cleaning machine since it is a long hose and that enabled me to go throughout the house and clean the carpet. I have also hooked it up to the drain hose on my washing machine in order to have more hose length to drain the water from the house. I have a plumbing blockage in my house and I have to use a longer hose in order to drain the water away from the house. This is a very versatile and useful product.

This hose works great. Fits onto my vacuum head that is a different manufacturer. It has a swivel cuff which helps the hose spin freely and helps keep the hose from getting tangled and kinked. It has a 1.5 inch diameter and is 35 feet long, which is the perfect length for my pool. It is made of extruded flexible EVA which is durable and can hold up well to pool chemicals and sunlight.

This hose is perfect for it's intended purpose - manual cleaning of the pool. The hose is very sturdy and I expect years of use. I've only had it a week and it still has some of it's coil from packaging. It's also been a bit cold, so that probably has something to do with it.. Hopefully that will loosen up over time. I tried using the hose with my automatic, crawler, vacuum, but it didn't work. I'm not sure if it's residual coil, or the weight of the hose, but I'll try again in a few weeks. The description of the product explicitly says not to use with an automatic vacuum. For manual cleaning, I loved the swivel coupling on the end, it made maneuvering the vacuum head a breeze. For this manual cleaning, big thumbs up for this hose.

So far so good with this hose. It's very heavy duty - which is good and bad. Good part is that it is going to take years of abuse being dragged around the edge of my concrete pool. Bad is two fold so far. I've only had it a week, but the hose has not lost it's coil yet (see photos) It's been cold this week, so that could be part of it. We'll have to see if the coiling loosens up. The other bad part is that it is not suitable for use with an automatic pool cleaner. (I have a Kreepy Krawley and the hose just keep coiling on itself and the Krawley simply can't move with the weight of the hose. I went back and looked at the description and lo and behold it expressly says (twice) "Not for use with automatic pool vacuums." For manual vacuuming the hose works like a gem. I really like the swivel coupling on one end of the hose, it makes maneuvering the vacuum head a breeze. All in all, a thumbs up for this hose, as long as you recognize it's limitations - it cannot be use with an automatic vacuum.

This review is for the HDX 35 foot by 1 1/2" diameter ribbed swimming pool vacuum hose. Model # 572-118. HDX is an American company based out of Sacramento, California who are known for producing quality pool products. And this vacuum hose is no exception. Unlike new owners, I have owned this same model of hose from HDX for years and I know it to be a quality product that can withstand years of use and abuse. Living in Phoenix, where we don't have a winter season, our pool pumps and pool maintenance are a year around job. So we are well aware of what is junk and fails and what is made to last the term. I have found this hose to be very well made, the ribbed hose body is very strong, can handle months and months of being out in direct sunlight and dragged around pool decks on a continuous basis. The rotating cuffs on each end of the hose stop the hose from twisting when moving the pool vacuum around in the pool. This is a very well made product made to withstand the elements of weather, and I found it to resist the direct sunlight very well, a highly recommended pool product from HDX / Pool Masters.

It keeps it’s coiled shape even after leaving it straighten out for two days . Then it restricts the movement of the skimmer.

Wish it had a larger coupling at one end. One end fits vaccum head perfectly but I had to construct an adapter to fit on the skimmer intake leading to the pump. Length and quality of the hose material is perfect for my 22ft above the ground pool .

Nothing to assemble, just hook it up and it worked great.

I got this pool vacuums hose to replace a old hose that lasted about 10 years. The hose is plenty long enough for a average size pool. It works exactly as it suppose too. Hopefully this will last as long as my old hose.

I planned to use this hose with my pool vacuuming tools (Kreepy Krauly & Aqua Critter). The segmented hose that came with these tools was beginning to fail. This hose is far better than any of the hoses that came with the pool vacuum tools and will also serve well for my manual vacuum broom. The hose is well constructed with a good coil to prevent the hose from collapsing under vacuum and has well designed swivel ends so that the hose doesn't twist up from the route of the cleaning tool. It has a better flotation than my other hose and I thought this would be a con but it is actually good because the hose stays on the top of the water and out of the way of the Kreepy Krauly - again, not twisting up. I expect this to last for years!

As you can see by the picture there is enough hose here to service my entire 30' x 16' inground pool. Even when the hose was stored coiled it uncoiled easily and didn't just collect in a bunch of loops in the water as my old one did. The construction is very sturdy and I expect great dependability from this item. The swivel head allows my vacuum head to rotate freely without balling up the works. The hose has made a job I don't particularly enjoy into a bit less of a chore which goes a long way with me. If you're thinking about a new one or a replacement this should be the one.
