Questions and Answers for HDX Spiral-Wound 35 ft. x 1 1/2 in. Diameter Swimming Pool Vacuum Hose for In-Ground and Above-Ground Pools

A:  Hi, Thanks for your inquiry. The 35 ft vacuum hose listed here is made of an entirely different material than APC (automatic pool cleaner) hose. As they are made of different materials, for different uses, they are not interchangeable. As much as we hate to turn down a sale, our 35' HDX Vacuum Hose is the wrong product for your pool cleaner.

A:  No. Our HDX Vacuum Hose is made ONLY for manual vacuuming with a vacuum head, hose & pole. You need APC hoses, made especially for automatic pool cleaners. The Home Depot carries 42" length pieces of APC hose.

A:  This is not made for a wet vac. It is only made for use for manual swimming pool vacuuming (with a pool vacuum head and pole)

A:  I would think that the wet vac would fill up so fast that you would spend more time emptying the vac than you did actually cleaning the pool. As for hose, they are tough and could definitely handle anything that a wet vac could deliver.

A:  It works great, that is what we use it for.

A:  It works beautifully with a wet/dry shop vac! Don't listen to anyone telling you otherwise lol. I use this with my 6 peak horsepower 16 gallon Rigid shop vac and have for over a year and a half now and it's perfect. Adapt to fit with duct tape or adapter.

A:  Hello, The hose should fit the vacuum head without any issues. It shouldn't matter, but please confirm you are using the swivel side of the vacuum hose onto the vacuum head? A:  You will have to contact the manufacturer directly for that. But in CA just about every material like this is on the list.

A:  I think because of the type of plastic it is made from - EVA - Ethylene-vinyl acetate.

A:  No, not for my pool anyway. The white ends was all I needed. It was perfect fit.

A:  Hi Andrea, This hose is 1-1/2" diameter so if you have an above ground pool it may have a 1-1/4" inlet in the skimmer. If so, you may need a hose adapter 1-1/4" (for skimmer) x 1-1/2" for hose - or you might use a vacuum plate that fits into the skimmer, so that the hose will fit onto the fitting built onto the plate. A:  Yes. It is a blue soft rubber ribbed round wedge that connects on to the end of this hose and the other end goes into the intake port in your pool skimmer. It's a common item sold at all quality pool stores. Remember to turn the pump off before disconnecting this hose from the skimmer.

A:  It is attached to the hose. You will need a skimmer plate for the hose to attach to it and then place on top of your skimmer.

A:  That piece is sold separately based on what pool filter you have. Look up the filter manufacturer and get the corresponding part.
