Works great, quite, very smooth, looks good & a great value for a 62" fan. Our electrician said the DC motor will save on power and he was impressed with the fan. The only negative thing about the fan is that it doesn't come with a remote & cannot be pared with one, but this is not an issue for us as we leave our fans running year round in up or down position. Be aware that it is normal for the fan to start slowly or move back and forth as it is calibrating when starting. It states this on the website and our electrician confirmed it was normal.

Bought 4, all 4 of them had light issues
1 of the fans worked with lights for 2 days and then the fuse went out for the lights. The other 3 lights just didn't work. I thought maybe it was a wiring issue in the house, installed two different brand of ceiling fans and those worked fine. Will not buy this brand again.

really amazing fan for the price. went in our master bedroom and adds to the look of our room. The larger blades really provide a good breeze for the size of our room. That is important for me because i cant sleep without my ceiling fan on!

Installation was easy! After install the lights worked fine but the fan wouldn’t spin in one direction. It would try going in both directions. So now it’s just a light with a fan that doesn’t work.

Fan works really good. The amount of air that comes out is awesome. Super quiet which is the best for me as I have super sonic hearing. Lol. I would greatly recommend this product. I bought 4 in total due to it being so great.

Great looking fan
I didn't have the same issues that many people had with the wiring. The comment to direct connect the blue wire to the red was perfect. I agree that the the calibration every time is starts is unnecessary. I am having the issue that many of the people are having with it calibrating but then it stops. It will only run in high. It definitely isn't the install and I hope that their is a fix that I'm not aware of. The fan is a great looking addition to the master bedroom.

Jay if the fan is not working after the calibration on slow or medium, please call us at 1-877-902-8855 for assistance. DC motor fans back-and-forth motions that occurs during start up is normal. Most people accustomed to AC motor performance are slightly taken back when they see their DC motor move back-and-forth. In most cases however this is normal as long as the fan proceeds into normal operation.

You can not wire the fan and light to separate...
You can not wire the fan and light to separate switches. And customer service only read me the pages out of the same installation book I had. I was very disappointed.

We sincerely apologize for the confusion you had about the wiring, the blue wire for the light kit may be separated. You may bypass the filter for the light kit only to use on a separate line. Please call our tech support at 1-877-902-5588 for assistance if needed.

We are pleased with the 60 in Hampton Bay Welton...
We are pleased with the 60 in Hampton Bay Welton Fan, it moves the air in our large living room wonderfully and supplies the needed light, unlike the LED 17 light kit; but I am curious as to why the fan hesitates before starting. There is a 4 second reverse motion of the blades before fully coming on.

Beautiful fixture, easy installation and incredibly quiet fan. The other thing I like about the fan is the ability to remove the extension rod and mound flush with the ceiling. This was a big help with my lower ceilings.

Fan works great in our MB, big so it moves air well, even on low. Love the finish and especially the slightly rustic brown blade color. Very quiet, but has a hesitation when starting, not sure if it was my wiring, but i am putting same fan in FR, so we’ll see! Love it!

Nightmare reviews true. Manual terrible. 2 wall switches; why manual doesn't address? 4 wires out ceiling, but three out bracket. Red wire from ceiling "bypasses" bracket and connects to blue wire from fan's motor. NOTHING in manual. Other wires go with their color. YES my N and L stickers were swapped. Worth effort? YES. Noise reduction DC motor? OMG.

For the first time the room they are in doesn't...
For the first time the room they are in doesn't get hot or humid. These fans are amazing. They self balance before starting and keep the room cold. I'm planning on buying more for other rooms.
