Just completed install yesterday on my 700 s.f. low slope porch roof, applying over older roll applied asphalt roofing. A few tips on install for those thinking about doing this; don't even think you can roll-apply it. Use a roofing brush, and make sure you're prepared for a work out, this stuff is THICK. Applying in direct sunlight to a dark surface helped immensely, as the warmer the surface is the more spreadable the material is. There was a noticeable difference in ease of application in areas in full shade - v - full sun. Once it flashed off and dried, looks very uniform with little apparent shrinkage. We'll see how it holds up, but first impressions are pretty good for a day's worth of effort and $120 worth of product and materials (especially versus hiring a roofer to lay down a new membrane).

Works well once applied
It was very messy to apply and remained sticky for two full days. Once it dried however, it was very consistent and the fibers bonded together to create a solid surface. It is a chore getting it applied, but I did it in damp, 60 degree weather. It is an easy way to prolong the life of your flat roof.

Henry 201 is a fibered solvent based roof coating formulated to provide a tough, durable, weather resistant film to protect existing roofs in good condition. However, if you have leaks you should address the leaks with a Henry leak stopper such as Henry 204 prior to the application of Henry 201. Scott, Henry 201 Fibered Black Roof Coating is a re-saturate type of product that takes the place of "hot tar". Henry 201 is a solvent based asphalt roof coating that is penetrating and provides a protective tough, durable, weather resistant film for roofs in good condition. Since it is a solvent system it allows for working at lower temperatures than asphalt emulsions and won't wash off if unexpected drizzle occurs before curing. I’m using this to paint the top of the joists on my new deck. (instead of joist tape) and it is working exceptionally well.

113 Michael, if the weather is cold you need to keep Henry 201 in a heated room until ready to use since the coating will thicken in cold weather. Henry 201 is designed to be used in colder weather than asphalt emulsions. When temperatures are below 60 degrees the product needs to be kept in a heated room for 24 hours. While we are pleased that you are happy with Henry 201, we do have to say that Henry 201 should not be used to fill cracks on asphalt driveways. Henry 201 is a solvent based asphalt roof coating that is a penetrating re-saturation product that can take up to 4 months to cure properly. Henry 201 should not be walked on to avoid tracking for 3 to 4 months.

Henrys makes good stuff, it is actually for this coming spring so is unopened until then.
Delivery was fast and I am really happy with the girl C.S. I did the buy with, on the phone at the store in Roseburg, OR. but I did not get her name or C.S. number.
Your call center seems to have very limited ability or are only authorized to do limited number of things.
I would rather call the store itself and talk to a human any day of the week though I really prefer free S/H.
