This is very good to hear. Henry 209XR is our "extreme" leak stopper because it can be used to stop leaks at -20 degrees, in driving rain and even if the leak is underwater. Henry 209XR can be used to repair holes cracks and splits on composition, mineral surface roll roofing, metal, EPDM and masonry roofs. JamesM, we appreciate your comments. For any gaps wider than 1/4" you have to use Henry 181 or 183 glass fabric to complete the repair with Henry 209XR. Roofs expand and contract with the changes in temperature extremes from daytime to nighttime and vice versa. This movement often causes the gap to open up slightly before the Henry 209XR has had a chance to cure completely which seems like it has shrunk. The best way to apply Henry 209XR is the 3-course patch method illustrated on the label of the can. First apply a layer of 209XR, embed Henry 181 or 183 fabric into the layer and then coat over the fabric with another layer of Henry 209XR.
