If the pieces fit together, this would’ve been a beautiful floor. The connections between the pieces were cheap, broken and bent cardboard. The directions were wrong. Attaching across and down just undid what you started. I packed it up and returned it. It is waterproof and they do take returns.

I had about 400 sq. ft. installed (not by HD) in a living room and hallway. I can't speak to the ease of installation, but there was a bit of a learning curve for the installers. Once they got the hang of it though, the job went quickly. The overall effect is impressive. My only complaint is that some darker panels made their into the install and are noticeable. I didn't catch this and I am not sure it would have been obvious to the installers at the time of placement either. In any event, about 90% of the panels are uniform. Unfortunately, a couple of the darker panels are in an area that catch the eye, but in general, I am pleased.

The planks looked great and locked together relatively easily once I figured out how much of an angle was needed to slide into place and also how much force. A tapping block is very helpful. However, the extent of damage to edges and corners was surprising. Almost 20% had damage.

Fades and wears poorly.
This floor faded badly after a couple years. Also it did not hold up well in the kitchen. After five years I need a new floor again.

I recommend this product with reservations. Once installed, it looks fantastic and is very durable. I installed the product in my bathroom and have had it down for about 3 years. The problem with this product is that the edges are very fragile and break easily during shipping and installation. Unless you have hired a professional to install this product, or you are very experienced yourself, you will have issues and a lot of unusable boards on your hands. Be sure to order more than you think you will need.

There were two problems with the planks I received. Four of the planks had a stain across one edge - looks like oil - and unfortunately we did not notice until they were embedded in the installation. Also these planks were very difficult to snap together. I have done three other floors like this previously and these were by far the hardest to work with. That being said, the floor looks nice except for the dark stripes on a few planks.

4 years after installing this in a bedroom, I continued it into a hallway and another bedroom. The new batch matches perfectly. All material arrived in perfect condition, unlike last time, when many boxes contained damaged planks. This flooring is easy to cut and install and looks great.

It was VERY difficult to install. I do not think all the reviews here are for the Heritage Mill Macadamia Cork floor based on the pictures. I put down bamboo click floor in two other rooms and those were a breeze. For this every single plank was a struggle. 5 planks in a box of 8 were damaged, not usable even for edges. As many others say the interlocking groves are made of cardboard. Lots of those come damaged to start with and they get worse as you try to lock them together. I could click maybe 2 without using a tapping block. The SEAMS do not lie flat. Some do but some will not regardless how many times you take it apart and put it back together or if you use the plank in a different place. Again, as mentioned by another reviewer it will be easy to catch the shoes in those seams and damage the floor I regretted buying this floor after the first hour of struggle but I like the pattern. I do not think it is going to last. Given the cardboard middle and all the crumbling during installation. Should have read the great reviews with a grain of salt. Not sure how anybody could say it was easy installation and the finished product is perfect.

The description said they are 5 1/2 inches wide. But in reality the planks are 12 inches wide. This really threw me off. I know this isn't Heritage Mills fault but I used home depots calculator and it said I needed five boxes to do a room. I started laying the floor and only got halfway through and ran out of the flooring. Now my little special needs boy's bedroom is all over my house and he has no room right now and is very confused as to why he can't go to his room. I had the money for his floor at time I first ordered the flooring but now I do not. Now have have to wait for months before I'll be able to purchase more flooring and get my son back into his room. If you know anything about spesial needs children you know how difficult a problem this is. The flooring is nice though.

The product was ok but I didn’t care for the chipped planks, it appeared that the boxes were damaged during shipping.... unfortunately we didn’t notice the bad planks until the end which and we had no choice but to use them in the door way.Live and learn.

I installed this in three bed rooms and the living room about two years ago. I love the feel and the look of it (smoky mineral color). It has a natural look and feel that no other flooring has. And the variations in the cork pattern are beautiful. I spent a lot of time figuring out which board would look best where. I was also careful to not use any boards with the slightly dented corners. You have to look at each board carefully under bright light to make sure they're good quality. Check the corners carefully because those faint puckers are very visible on the finished floor. They could prevent it with better packaging to protect the corners. The boxes are very thin cardboard and offer no protection at all. I installed this over a layer of 1/4" cork underlayment. It is so quiet and comfortable to walk on compared to 3/4" hardwood nail down flooring. And it hides dirt a bit too well. It always looks good. Here's the problem - the only problem I have with this flooring. It looked perfect and I loved it until the cats puked on it here and there and I didn't find the puke until it had dried. If you have cats or dogs you know they puke at random and manage to do it in the most annoying and hidden places. Well sometimes when I clean the vomit, the floor looks perfect. Other times, though, it has left little puckered areas. In both of those cases, the puckered area can only be seen from a certain angle with the light hitting it a certain way, though. But the fact that it was no longer perfect was bugging me enough that I started looking at alternative flooring that can handle cat puke. I was happy to find that I still prefer this floor over all the other types. (However the click lock luxury vinyl was looking pretty good but an article I read said no one makes it well enough yet - It's a new thing) So I am still very happy with my smoky mineral cork. I plan to unzip the floor to the bad spots and just replace the boards. My concern there is that perhaps this will weaken the connections and it won't go back together as well as it did the first time. I will report back about how that goes. (I don't plan to do it for a year or more...) The only reason I didn't give this flooring five stars is the issue of moisture damage. Keep in mind, my damage was from puke which contains strong cat stomach acid - enough to digest raw meat and bone. I had tested this flooring by pouring water on pieces of it in the garage and leaving it until it dried and they usually showed no damage in those tests. I wouldn't recommend leaving any moisture on it for any length of time, though, just to be safe. For those having difficulty fitting the boards together, try using a brush to wipe the locking mechanism where bits of the fiberboard get stuck inside. Once you brush those out, the boards will fit together easily.

This is a terrible product. I suspect there are a lot of fake reviews about this project because they say so many good things about it. First the color does not match the image in the picture. Yes Then 1/5 of the planks that we received were damaged and not usable. On top of that the system is not very good. As we were trying to put the planks together it was causing gaps in other areas. We took the whole thing apart and returned it. Fortunately Home Depot has a great return policy.

Product is pricey but looks great. The click lock did not work as well as prior click lock products used. It required more force to set the click lock. Because the cork is soft even with a tap block some pieces were damaged.

This flooring is unique and beautiful. Color is true to the picture and even throughout 20 cases. It's a breeze to install, a real joy to work with. Cuts easily and snaps together effortlessly. It feels excellent on bare feet. Smooth, warm, and soft. After ceramic tile, it's a revelation. My daughter loves to slide around on it in her socks. It doesn't show dirt and dust very readily. So far seems to wear well. It appears to be very hard. However, I am still concerned about long term durability. I dropped a screwdriver on it and it gouged it pretty good. I touched it up with a stain pen and you can't notice it anymore, but it's certainly not as resilient as something like tile or vinyl. I'm also concerned about moisture. Reading the reviews on a product like this or laminate flooring you know you want to keep water off of it. I'm finding that hard to do in a kitchen. Every wet plate going into the dishwasher or small chunk of ice cube from the ice maker makes me nervous. So far I haven't seen any damage, but I just feel like I need to be a little more careful with this floor.

The installation was straightforward and easy enough (I've found all these click-fit installs a snap). I would have preferred pieces longer than 3 feet to allow for more stagger variation in installing. Also it is pretty easy to mar the surface; be careful with sharp tools or dragging items. We used a dense vinyl moisture barrier (sourced elsewhere from HD) and sealed the seams with Tyvek tape. Overall, turned out to be a nice floor.

Although we are satisfied with the results, I was a little disappointed with the "snap and lock" feature. Most of the pieces required persuasion with a block and hammer to get them to lock.
