    Scratches so easy
I spent $4,114 to buy enough flooring to do my entire house, which is just a 3 bed 2 bath doublewide. We have had the floors down for just a couple weeks and they are already scratched all to pieces. I have felt pads on my furniture, so what is causing the scratches? My son’s high chair. This high chair probably weighs 5 lbs and it has scratched the floor to pieces. I am so disappointed. We got the universal oak color so it’s very dark and shows the scratches extremely bad. Do not buy!

        Scratches so easily
Installed this flooring and purchased 2200$ worth expecting it to be scratch resistant like like it states and it scratches so easily. It’s too late now because it’s all opened. I’m so upset. I feel like my money was stolen from me at this point. I have no clue how this flooring is going to hold up.

VERY sturdy.... But ONLY if installed correctly.
We've had this flooring installed in our son's bedroom for about a year now. My boys are really hard of things. They spill things and don't clean it up, they move their METAL beds around, they are very very messy. We also have two dogs and two cats. These floors are still as perfect as they were when we bought them! However, I will say that you absolutely MUST install this floor correctly if you don't want it to get ruined. And to be honest, it's a bit of a bear to get installed correctly. Below, I listed the most important things you'll want to know 1. Glue or nail the first row down to keep if from moving during installation. Screws will obviously hold better but will leave marks so stay close to the edge and cover with trim. You can remove the screws after installation. 2. You absolutely need a rubber mallet to install this floor. Once you've got the piece set into the grove as far as possible, use a scrap piece on the opposite side as a tapping block (this protects the grooves) and the rubber mallet to tap it in the rest of the way. 3. Run your hand over the joint. If you feel even the SLIGHTEST ridge, use the rubber mallet and pound downward on the joint to get the piece completely flat. If you ensure every single piece is perfectly flat and there are no spaces in the joints, this floor will hold up beautifully. We've installed a TON of variations of floating floor and stick down floor. This is the only one that I'd be willing to use again. I do think the results are specific to this brand also because my mother just put in a very similar (but much more expensive) floor and it's already coming apart at the seams. Although this was a bit difficult to put down correctly, I think that's actually what makes it so durable. We loved it so much that we installed it in a second bedroom (our daughter's) and it is holding up perfectly in that room also. We did accidentally put the dresser down on top of a misplaced screw and we scratched the floor in my daughter's room the first day. BUT that was an extreme circumstance where we literally pressed down with a shop object and scooted, I am sure any flooring option would have gotten scratched.

            Beautiful, but not sturdy
Ive seen lots of videos about installing flooring like this. Even by using the right tools, you can get a lot of the planks broken in the edges. If you are looking to do it yourself I would think twice about either calling a professional installer or looking for a different product that is stronger

I love the color and design of the planks. None of these came with broken corners or messed up tongue and groove. I found two boards out of 110 that had a couple of small white spots on them. Nothing that caused a problem. I worked around it.

                SCRATCHES EASILY
Extremely easy to install. Unfortunently about 1 piece out of every other box was broken in the box. After floors were installed I started noticing small scratches on the floor. Mind you It is only myself in the home, I have no pets, and do not wear shoes in the house. Less than a year later and floor looks horrible with little to no use. If you are looking for a show product that will never get touched, this may work for you. If you plan on living in the home, stay far far away from this cheap flooring. I really wish they would have had the color I wanted in Lifeproof, I have friends that have installed that and looks great years later.

Crystal Oak is perfect for a coastal beach look
I looked at dozen of LVP flooring before I settled on Home Depot‘s Home Decorators Collection in Crystal Oak. I wanted a beachy feel, but most flooring was too grey. I wanted grey but with some warmth to it. I have some cream colored furniture and Crystal Oak is perfect. I love my flooring with it’s clean light color and the texture with the “wood grain” look and feel. The color on the website is a true representation. After painstakingly choosing the flooring, I decided to try to install it myself. I don’t want to be stereo typical, but I’m a 60+ female who never installed flooring or even watched somebody install flooring. So I watched dozens of YouTube videos and read everything I could about installing planking. I attempted to do a small bedroom first to see if I could be successful. There’s definitely a learning curve to installing this flooring. My suggestion is the following: Read the directions and then reread them. Buy the Roberts pro floor installation kit that is available at Home Depot. The spacers, mallet, and the pull bar are great. The tapping block is not so great. Instead buy a 12 inch Pro length heavy duty tapping block made by Bullet Tools. It’s also available from Home Depot, but I got mine elsewhere. It is definitely worth it. Make sure that the seams not only look tight, but actually feel tight. Run your fingers along the planks and if you feel the difference between the 2, they need to be tapped in again. Get yourself a small hand brush and brush the floor and the back of the plank before you install it. Even though you vacuumed that floor and even washed it, somehow dust appears from nowhere. If you need to take apart the planks on the short end, do not bend them back at at an angle, as you will ruin them. Tease them apart and you’ll be able to reuse them. Lastly, take your time. I was successful in installing the flooring in a small bedroom, so decided to go ahead with 600+ square feet in the rest of the house. I bought the corresponding thresholds and after watching videos was able to successfully install those as well. So if I can do it, you can do it. I love the look at my floor and I’m thrilled with the fact that I was able to install it myself and save quite a bit of money by doing so. I bought myself a brushless, cordless vacuum and use it frequently to keep my floor clean. I will occasionally wash it with a mop (wrung out as dry as possible) with distilled water. It cleans up nicely.

These floors plank are great. To cut them I used a sharp blade box cutter and a big speed square. They came in so many different patterns. I needed 9 boxes for a room. I started to lay them over like a deck of cards to mix them up. Then realized that it’s not necessary, jus started work right out the box. Big gaps closed up pretty good and tight after hitting it with a flooring block and mallet / hammer. Witch I also got from Home Depot. The instructions on the box are clear. really easy to complete. They came out so great.

                        easy install, looks great!
This is a great looking LVT floor for the price. Gave it 4 stars because the installation instructions are wrong. Need to use a sacraficial piece of flooring to get tiles to set rather than just a block of wood. Otherwise, the fragile edge will break

Really easy to put down, take your time to make sure the but seams from board to board are seated and lightly tap to zip together - strong hit causes cracking.

Fairly easy to install if you have all required tools. Rather than scoring with utility knife when long cuts needed, table saw with painter's tape over the flooring was much easier/effective. Also easier to click all widths together then insert one long piece at a time vs trying to do the long side then short side. Flooring looked great when installed!

I have had this product in a couple of rooms for 2 years and it still looks brand new. We have stored furniture on top of it during renovation and dogs run across it. No scratches. It is easy to install and the handyman who does my work commended the products as well. We are now installing it throughout the bedrooms as well.

This was a tough choice becase I had to special order form GA, and wait 1 week to have the 1st box shipped to store and 2 1/2 weeks for the 36 other boxes. However , so worth the wait . It did match my cabinets special walnut & the ceiling solid wood stained and it looks like real wood. Has a bit of shine in the top. Hope its easy as they said to maintain . I'm getting a i robot for floor cleaning this week. It's just beautiful. My first home.

After only 6 months - scratches galore and BUBBLING!
Guaranteed not to scratch, not true. Scratches like crazy! With the simplest things like moving a chair or piece of furniture. And numerous places the floor has giant bubbles that actually cause tripping hazards! I assume it is from where the sunlight comes in through the windows and heats it up, but still! It is supposed to be a floating floor, but I wish now we had glued it or something because it looks absolutely horrible! $1500 down the drain! Would never buy this product again. I recommend NOT getting a floating floor, ever!

This flooring was fairly simple to put together for first timers. My dog has already given it a fairly good scratch test when he got spooked by a noise and couldn’t get his footing while on the new flooring...he was digging deep and not a single scratch was left! We did have edges on 2 planks that had issues (one damaged and one edge that wouldn’t meet up flush with other boards no matter what we did). It’s only been installed a few days but no complaints so far and very happy overall.
