I like the Wrench, Plus Has Lifetime Warranty
I bought the 1/2" Version Jan 2022, I Liked it, so when I Finally had the Money I Purchased the 3/8" version. Seems to have a Little more Wobble then the 1/2" version i received, maybe i can adjust the Flex Head Screw and eliminate some of that, if so then I would definitely recommend this Ratchet. With any tool you never know until you use it a few times if the teeny flaws you saw at purchase will get worse, But with a Life Time Warranty I should not Fear if something should happen.

    Nice "Stubby" Ratchet Handle
This ratchet handle allows access to small spaces in which my prior "standard size" ratchet did not work. Good solid shiny plated finish. My only issue is that the end is decorative with some sort of curlicues. Unfortunately, since the wrench is just as long as my hand is wide, the decorative end digs into the skin a bit. Not a serious issue, but it is slightly uncomfortable.

This 100tooth 3/8 socket wrench offers great flexibility in very tight spaces. It only requires a tiny degree of movement to racket. The direction level has great grip if I need to change between tightening or loosening in a confined space. I really like the recessed socket release. The wrench handle fits the hand well allowing a firm grip. I highly recommend it.

The Husky 3/8 inch drive, 100 position, chrome locking flex head ratchet is a great addition to my home tool collection. I love the short drive with the 100 position sprocket, that makes tightening nuts and bolts in tight conditions easier. The flex head of the ratchet is also great in tight places. I recently used this ratchet when installing a trailer hitch on my car. It was tight and cramped and this ratchet make it easier for sure. I have not had any issues with my husky tools and will continue to use them on all my future projects

Huski 3/8 inch drive 100 position chrome locking flex head ratchet. This ratchet can be flexible to swing in whatever angle you need or be locked in the angle you choose. The 100 position give some extra turning in tight areas compared to the 60 position ratchets, they have saved me time and made my job easier. The long comfortable handle seems to be the perfect size for me and you have to love the warranty.

I ordered this tool because my husband and I are restoring a old ramcharger. Some of the bolts are hard to reach and/or just hard to get loose. With the long handle we are able to get better leverage on the bolts. It fits down in tight spaces where, sometimes your hand wont fit with a regular length tool. It also allows for reaching bolts on top of the vehicle where height is a problem. This tool is sleek and feels good in your hand. It is strong and works great for what we needed. It is a great addition to any tool box! I would recommend this tool to anyone who does any kind of repair work.

Looking for a non-sponsored review? Here it is!
Unlike everyone else writing reviews for this ratchet, I spent my own money to buy this ratchet. I was building a tool kit to keep in my truck, and was looking for something reliable, useful, reasonably priced with an actual warranty. This ratchet checks those boxes. Things I like: 1) The ratchet head is pretty slim, and has a very smooth action. This “100 position” ratchet is similar to the GearWrench 120XP ratchet, in that it uses two stacked pawls to achive the positions. The gear actually only has 50 teeth, but the double-stacked pawls offer two positions for every tooth on the gear, hence 100 positions. I actually find this 100-position mechanism smoother than the 120-position GearWrench version - I get less backdrag using this ratchet. 2) The locking flex-head is easy to use. I own other ratchets from tool trucks that have locking switches that are more difficult to use than this one - amd this one can be locked/unlocked from both sides. 3) I find the length to be perfect for a “road kit” - long enough to get good leverage, but no too long that it can’t fit in cramped spaces. 4) Warranty. Home Depot is VERY GOOD about standing behind Husky products without bothering you for a receipt. If it breaks, walk into any HD, and walk out with a replacement. It may not be the exact model you walked in with, as they do switch out designs, but they’ve always taken care of me with an equivalent, newer model if the broken one is no longer available. Things I don’t like: 1) The quick release has to be pushed in a bit too deep. It gives good socket retention, but would be better requiring a bit less travel of the button. Use it with gloves on and you’ll see what I mean. This ratchet would have been a 5-star ratchet without the quick release feature. It could be a bit cheaper, but this is actually a good quality ratchet, made in Taiwan, so I can’t really complain about the price. Far more positives than negatives, so this is a product I have no issues recommending very highly.

The Husky 3/8 IN drive 100 position extra long ratchet is a good ratchet is many ways. The extra long handle gives you the extra leverage to tighten or loosen nuts/bolts but it also gives you the added length to reach them. The 100 position feature then gives you the ability to tighten/loosen using short strokes that comes handy in hard to work places. That is a really nice feature. The socket removal button is slightly recessed which helps with accidental releasing of the socket.

With a 3.6-degree arc swing and a flex-head that angles from zero to ninety degrees (though the locking feature is only good up to approximately 63 degrees), this well-made ratchet handle will handle fastening and unfastening chores where working space is restricted or obstructed. The chrome plated finish will make clean-up easy after use and will provide corrosion protection were stored in a service vehicle or non- conditioned space. The grip is somewhat under-sized for the average hand but distributes the effort to the whole grip evenly. The push-button release mechanism for sockets eliminates fumbling with those sockets that are a tight fit on the drive portion. The ratchet mechanism is retained by a circlip, permitting cleaning and lubrication when required. The tool is provided with a lifetime warranty, however, unless one is constantly using cheater-bars I don’t imagine that there will be too many failures. The only (minor) negative is that the ratchet toggle is not fully recessed into the head, which may allow it to snag on its surroundings. Overall a good addition to the tool arsenal.

Great little ratchet. It is high quality, short with a round handle (as opposed to a rectangular handle) for comfort and leverage. The shortness allows for me to use my entire hand to grip and control the torque of this ratchet for tight spaces. For applications where I need additional torque power, the handle is rounded off to fit either a 1/2" or 3/4" pipe on the end to utilize more leverage. Due to the small size I would warn folks using it not to drop it behind small spaces where it can get lost. I would say this ratchet is a must in every DIYer or professional's tool box for use in small tight spaces.

This is a very handy ratchet and well-made. If you have any equipment or work on autos or tractors, you will need a ratchet like this. The long handle lets you get into places you cannot get to with a normal ratchet. I use it to change spark plugs plus you can get to bolts/nuts that a regular ratchet can’t. The longer handle is a great asset extending your reach. What is especially nice about this ratchet is the 100 position/tooth head. When you’re in these tight places not having much room to work with for loosening and tightening, gears still works! Nice ratchet to have

This is the first ratchet I have owned where you can adjust the head angle. This is a great feature, especially since you can lock the angle in place. I can get a lot of use out of this working on automobiles & atvs. There are many places that a normal ratchet does not work. Another great feature is the small movements needed to advance the locking mechanism when tightening or loosening a nut/bolt with limited space. Most of my ratchets require a long swing. This one has an extremely short swing. The handle is comfortable the way it is contoured, but it may be a little tough to hold onto if you get grease or oil on it. It would be helpful if the handle was knurled.

This is a ratchet that should be in everyone's tool box. For my needs, which include automotive, sports equipment and household the 3/8 inch drive ratchet is the most used. The 100 position locking flexible head is able to reach and the 3.6 degree arch swing allows you to loosen or tighten some of those stubborn bolts that are difficult to reach. The head can go 90 degree in either direction and gives you 9 options. The chrome plating looks great and should last a lifetime if treated right. The best part is Husky backs this ratchet with a their lifetime warranty, no receipt-no questions, should their be a problem.

I have had a flex head ratchet in my tool set for years. There are places where these are just essential. The Husky 3/8 in. Drive 100-Position Chrome Locking Flex-Head Ratchet has three features my "traditional" one doesn't. The most important in the locking feature. You can set the head at the angle you need and then lock it in place. Even if you put a heavy socket on the end of a end extension everything stays exactly where you set it. My traditional flex head will sometimes "break" at the worst possible moment. The second feature is the push button on the back of the ratchet head. You have to push the button to put on or take off a socket. This ratchet holds onto sockets and extensions better that any I have owned. The third feature I REALLY like is the 100 position ratcheting action. You only have to move the handle less that four degrees to catch the next tooth. In tight places this means a lot. Lifetime Warranty with no questions, no receipt required

Great 3/8" Ratchet, I got this with the 1/2" ratchet. I took to work for use there and its great. I used it with a come a long as the ratchet handle and it was nice with the 100-position ratchet teeth. Made for quick work when you have to ratchet a lot. Then I used it to tighten bolts on a folder that has a lot of moving parts and you need to be careful you don't hit your knuckles. The Flex heat worked great as you can see I was able to keep my hand from the steel roller as I tighten up the bolts. I set the handle so my hand would be between the roller and the body I was working on. This will be great for auto work were you don't have lots of room to move around. The 100 Position teeth make it very nice and easy to work in tight spaces. Well made and flex heat lock can be set on either side of the flex head.

A Husky stubby ratchet with a 3/8 in. drive allows for easier access into tight/cramped areas with decreased room, it will allow the ratchet to move back and forth; it only needs 3.6 degrees of movement to work in a confined space. The feel and weight of the wrench fit and line up with your finger and it is the size of your palm. The quick release button allows you to change the socket or extension easily.

I can only say, “Why did I wait so long?” For years, when working in tight quarters, usually in auto and truck engine bays, I’d wish I had a stubby ratchet to use. Some of my friends did and, when working on a project together, I’d borrow theirs and think, “I need to get a stubby for me”. Of course, once finished, I would just forget about it until the next time. I’ve got all kinds of ratchets, sockets and bits from ¼” through ¾”. Even a few 1”. I’ve got large breaker bars and everything else ratchet/socket related. But, I never picked up a stubby ratchet for the occasional need. Well, I finally got that stubby. This Husky 3/8” drive model. And, considering it is less than $20 at HD, I could just kick myself for not getting it long ago. It’s well made. Seems tighter than many of my more expensive, standard sized ratchets. And, the 3.6° swing per “click” combined with the low profile head make it ideal for those tight quarters where one can’t get much of a swing let alone fit a ratchet with socket in there. The push button socket release on the back of head is a first for me. And, especially appreciated. All of my other ratchets have a small, spring loaded check ball on the mounting shaft that is supposed to hold the socket on but rarely does. This Husky has that same check ball, but it is push button operated from the back of the ratchet head and it really locks the socket in place! No more dropped sockets that disappear down into the engine bay somewhere to never be found again, short of pulling the motor. Don’t be a procrastinator like me. Get one of these if you have the need. The right tool makes life so much easier.

The Husky 3/8 inch drive 100-position locking flex-head ratchet is a quality tool that helps with reaching those awkwardly placed nuts and bolts. I’ve used this ratchet both on my truck and my motorcycles and it was a time saver. Because of the flexible head, I was a little reluctant to apply a lot of torque to this ratchet, but so far my worries have been unfounded because the ratchet has performed flawlessly. I don’t use this ratchet as my “everyday” ratchet but it is nice to have when needed.

Husky 3/8 in. Drive 100-Position Chrome Extra Long Handle Ratchet I love this 3/8-inch ratchet with the chrome alloy finish it looks great in my tool box. The 15-inch handle really helps with hard-to-reach bolts. You can use in on either shallow or deep sockets. I love that you can position the handle where ever you need it to fit the job. If you like working on cars or trucks this is a must have ratchet.

This is literally a once in a lifetime purchase (if not in a few lifetimes). I got the chrome version, but HD carries also the parkerized (black) version. Both offer superior protection against rust in even the most rust-prone conditions. Handle is 15 inches which allows for better reach, which is perfect for working on removing bolts in engine compartments and all tight places where you need to combine reach, 3.6-degree arc sway is utilizing every bit of force you put on it. Serviceability is phenomenal, the notch on the retaining ring is deep and sharp, which means that cleaning and re-greasing the tool requires cleaning that notch. The dust and retaining cover is metal and although not chrome plated will serve the lifetime of the product, could have been done from a thicker sheet metal. the two stones are extremely hard and working with the small tolerances of the surrounding knuckle need to be re-greased more often than on the 1/2" version. I was able to clean mine with just a W-40 bath and re-greased it with the cheapest red grease I had. That should be enough for a few years, unless I start using in a sandy and dirty environment, and even then I doubt a lot will get in the mechanism, as the tight fit of the retaining ring and cover makes sure there is not much space for debris to get in. The head has a release button that retracts the retaining ball, so there is no need to force the sockets out when you're done using one. Retaining ball protrudes enough to retain the socket even if you slam the wrench - this is the nice touch that makes this wrench stand out. Retention of the sockets is similar to that of a high quality 1/2" version yet, it releases gently with a push of a button. Reversing is very distinct and provides enough feedback to let you know that it engaged, noticeable even if you are working with gloves. This is done using longer springs which although adding more tension to the pins and higher wear, make the very distinct click-and-engage sound that you can notice only on Huskies. I wasn't able to determine failure point, but it is well above 250 ft/lbs, exceeding what would ever be considered normal usage of this wrench. This is done by using high grade Chr-Va steel and very precise machining of all parts. It is a great tool and although it is priced a little bit to the higher end of mid-range, it is a wrench that will last really long time and serve you well. That's why Husky stand by their product with a lifetime warranty.

The Husky 3/8 inch drive 100 position chrome locking flex-head ratchet is just the ratchet you need for getting into odd spots and dealing with odd angles. The ratchet has a selector switch for the direction as well as one for the angle. The head can rotate 90 degrees in either direction giving you the drive you need regardless of the direction. It has a nice chrome finish.

The Husky 3/8 in. Drive 100-Position Chrome Stubby Ratchet is a well made ratchet for use in tight spaces. The Ratchet has a push button release for sockets and a teardrop shaped head. The Ratchet has a lot more detects than I am used to, which is pretty cool, because it let's you tighten in very small increments. The chrome finish is very well done, and the shape fits the palm nicely. Overall, this is a very nice ratchet.

This is an excellent 3/8"drive long handled ratchet wrench. The handle, in polished chrome is 12 1/2" long and the teardrop head is 2 1/2" long. The head is only 1" deep x 1 1/4" wide making it very easy to maneuver in tight spaces. With a 100 position ratchet it allows you to torque very precisely especially with the extra long handle. The ball bearing holds the sockets securely and releases easily with the recessed push button on the back of the head. I like the recessed button over the kinds offered by competitors as you cannot accidently eject the socket or change the ratchet direction. 5 Stars

I love my Stubbies! They are my grab and go tools whenever I'm using sockets. They are much more convenient in tight spaces. They turn a lot easier, and are much faster to get a nut on or off. I generally only use longer, standard length ratchets when I'm breaking a nut loose or doing the final hand tightening. I have collected an array of Stubbies in 1/4" and 3/8" sizes. What I like about the Husky 3/8" Stubby Ratchet is the compact size of the head, the easy-to-wipe-grease-off Chrome finish, the excellent push button release, and the heft. I like the feel of the handle. I don't feel like I'm going to slip my hand off, even when oily/greasy. What first caught my eye was the 100 position or 3.6 degree click. That is why I ordered this ratchet, even though I had several others already. I'm very pleased with it. 5 Stars!

I am always interested in trying out a new tool. I have numerous Husky products in my tool room and decided to try the 100-tooth (position) stubby ratchet. Its five and one-half inches in length with a solid grip handle. One finger releases the socket/extension or reverses rotation. The 3.6-degree travel arch is just right for working in tight lawn mower and snow blower quarters. The stubby design adds leverage to removing rusted nuts, bolts and screws. With its lifetime warranty, this ratchet compliments any tool collection.

I love the long 15 inch handle on this Husky 3/8 inch drive ratchet. I also like the 100 positions on the ratcheting mechanism, which really makes it easy to turn either left or right. It is very easy to adjust which direction to tighten by simply flipping the lever on the backside of this ratchet left or right. The ratchet has a good weight to it and feels sturdy, it’s also finished in shiny chrome which hopefully will deter rust. My only recommendation for this ratchet is to maybe adjust the grip as it is smooth with some type of material that would prevent your hand from slipping off. Other than that minor complaint I would recommend this ratchet.

A nice little product with Quality. I’ve use quite a few stubby socket wrenches over the years and found this one to have nice quality values. The center release button works very very good as to release and hold any socket that will login onto it. I’m not really certain why they put grey plastic gear around the rachet in the package as it can be a pain to get it off the tool. I used a flat head screwdriver and slowly pried it off. It’s nice for the price as it’s made in Taiwan-not in the USA.

HUSKY 3/8 IN. DRIVE 100-POSITION CHROME STUBBY RATCHET - Unique packaging that allows you to "try" the ratchet mechanism. The very fine teeth allow it to take very little movement to ratchet the driver. It is a standard 3/8 inch drive so it will work with a majority of sockets a homeowner would have. The stubby length, approximately 5 1/2 inches, allows you to use it where a standard length ratchet would not fit.
