It didn't fit my dog who is 60 lbs and it didn't state in the ad that it was for aluminum doors, only.

In reading your review, we would like to address your comments:

Frankly, we are confused by your remarks.
First, the Product Details clearly state “Ideal for pets weighing up to 35 lbs.” so your 60-pound dog would not fit this door opening. You would need our large size, not medium.
Second, the second Salient bullet (bullets to the right of the product image) on the landing page for this item on hd.com [hd.com] clearly states “Specifically made for aluminum sliding door configurations only” as well as the first two Highlight bullets in the Product Details state “Aluminum pet patio doors will not fit correctly with vinyl sliding configurations - aluminum and vinyl are not interchangeable” and “Adjustable to fit existing aluminum sliding door heights.” Consequently, we are unsure how you can state that we don’t specify the product is for aluminum sliding doors.
Please review all documents and specifications online prior to future purchases. They are included to assist our customers for the desired outcome for you and your pet.

Easy to put together and in the sliding door. My 2 cats love the freedom to come and go to the back porch to get to the windows to see the birds. Excellent product.

The product was exactly what I expected, however the first door shipped to me was previously damaged and should not have been repackaged and sold as new. Poor practice by HomeDepot.

Ordered online, arrived Damaged
Beautiful door, and installing was a breeze. Door insulation does not stick to ribbed aluminum. Very tall on bottom if you have short dogs or a step.

Was a bit too tall for my door frame, but...
Was a bit too tall for my door frame, but I was able to cut it down a bit to make it fit. The only problem is that is is so wide that I cannot use my door to exit or enter with it in. I have a 90LB lab and needed this size to allow her in and out. All three dogs have figured it out, but so has one of our indoor cats. We've had to chase her down a couple of times, but a water spray bottle next to the door is detering her. Kind of nice to not have to open the door every time the dogs want in or out.

It May Not Fit Your Door
My handyman and I tried everything we could think of but could not get this door to fit. We could not close the gaps between the pet door and the sliding glass door.

Fits good except the strip of insulation doesn't want to stay stuck, even though I cleaned the door before applying. I had the same problem with a previous door I had purchased (different brand).

This dog door is made very well especially the flap...
This dog door is made very well especially the flap door. It's been 2 months and she finally loves using it . She goes out even for sun bathing but most importantly I use less pee pads inside the house because she does go outside to do #2. For now she is being trained to do more peeing outside than use pee pad. Overall this product is well made and did fit on my sliding glass door. Serves its purpose.

Highly Recommend This Door
This pet door is very easy to install. I’m in my 70’s and had no trouble lifting or installing it. Our cat loves it. He can finally go and come as he pleases. Plus, our electric bill should start coming down because we don’t have to leave our terrace door open anymore.
