This pet door is great! It allows my cat to go out to the screened-in porch without needing to have the sliding door open.

This works well for what I had expected. It may be a little early to give it 5 stars, but so far I've had it several weeks, and the window flap that lets the dogs in and out, has always shut with the magnets. Hopefully, they won't wear out, but so far I'm very happy with it. I live in a townhouse and was having to go downstairs to the basement to get my dogs out to my back yard. This has really saved my knees, as they can let themselves out now. If you need more security, I wouldn't buy, as it is a bit flimsy, because it's plastic instead of glass. But it's light enough so you can remove at night if you feel necessary. It's summer now, so I haven't used the weather stripping, but will definitely need to for winter. For the price, I'm happy with the purchase.

Instillation was easy

This pet door was easy to setup and the cats started using it the same day. Only issue encountered was making sure the pet door was fully sealed and having to create an extra cutout for the screen door to lock onto the pet door. So be aware that you may need some extra tools to finish it out.

The door is easy to use and looks great.

I can't give a thorough review because I had to return the door due to the fact that it was unusable by my dog. Reason for return - the bottom of the opening, where the dog enters and exits was a good 9" from the floor on the inside and 12' from the patio slab on the outside. My dog is only 12" tall and he wasn't able to navigate - he tried, but it was just too high a jump for my little Shih Tzu. It wasn't clear in the description of the item, nor the pictures I saw - including the one on the box - that the doggy door itself was that high off the ground. So, for the lack of a clear description and the hassle of re-packing the item, I'm only giving 3 stars (my box had been previously opened, it was all taped up and stapled when I received it - someone else must've had a problem too...). I can't recommend it because I didn't have a chance to see how it worked out. I will say that I would not feel secure leaving the dog door open, without the security panel in place, if I wasn't home. The good news is, Home Depot took it back without a problem, and even sends the shipper to pick it up (providing you have it re-packaged, otherwise shipper will leave return label and you take to shipper yourself).

The door works well. My dog figured out how to use it easily. It has a magnetic catch at the bottom of the flap to hold it closed. It makes a click when it seals. You will hear it in a silent house pretty easy. It does let cold air in noticeably, not only around the flap but the panel itself. It's not designed to be energy efficient. On really cold days I removed it and close the sliding door. It doesn't take much of an effort to take it out and put it back in. The door probably isn't very secure against an intrusion. Because the dog panel is so big on this panel a person can fit through it. It has a plastic panel that slides over the flap when not in use, but I think a strong kick can knock it out. I haven't tried, so that is my opinion. But, for the price, I think it's a good deal. Just be mindful of my unprofessional review!

The door itself is great, large door for the dogs. However the unit came with a very large dent which affects the fit. The damage is from the manufacturer as there is no damage to the shipping box. Customer service has done nothing except blame the shipper. There has been no communication even after I sent pictures of the damage and the shipping box. I'm more than upset!!

Easy to install and fit perfectly!

My cat decided she wanted a bigger opening! I had the smaller size and was very satisfied. I bought extra weatherstripping to get a good fit.

Not a very sturdy dog door. Screws to hold the door don't stay snug

This was easy to assemble. It took my cats several days to get used to the flap over the opening. Now they go in and out all the time.

My brother in Tucson, AZ has this door and used it for his 3 dogs. I now live in Michigan and will be interested how it withstands the Michigan winters it withstands the Summer Arizona heat very well.

Fits great in my slider. Very easy to install...went in in two minutes.

The pet door was very easy to install in principle, but there are some factors you will need to be aware of. 1) The flap for the extra large door is about 6 in. above the floor (not as low as shown in the product picture). If you have multiple dogs of various sizes, the smaller dogs may have initial problems hopping over the higher threshold. 2) The door works best if you have a sliding door with locks that are flush with the inner surfaces of the frame. If you have a protruding latch, you will have to either accept a gap on one side (which will allow bugs to enter), or you'll have to get out a grinder and cut a notch in the insert to give clearance for the latch. 3) The knobs at the top of the insert that lock it in place may interfere with the frame of the sliding door and not allow it to completely seat in the frame. Additional weather stripping may be necessary to close that gap.

The door was very easy to install, didn’t need any tools! Very well made!

This is a perfect solutions for dog owners who allow their pets inside the house. Looks great and is very easy to install. Highly recommended.

Very nice unit - Except that snap-in magnetic strip on frame and under flapper fell out soon after installation and one of the dogs chewed it up.

The corner of the door insert was bent/damaged but other than that it works fine
