Acacia is more durable than oak, mahogany, and maple. what a shocker when i am able to use a box cutter to carve out about a quarter inch filler block due to a chip out from cutting with a brand new Bosch router bit. when i started to sand to prep for oiling, there are a whole lot of ridges that seems to be from the manufacturer's terribly dull planer blade. there are also a couple of dents that seem like the countertop has been through a hail storm. pictures attached as evidence. shame on me for not removing the plastic packaging and thoroughly inspect the countertop while at the Home Depot store prior to purchase.

Bought two of these to make an L shaped desktop. Cut a 2 foot section off of one of the board and made it into a filing cabinet top. Cut perfectly. No chipping or anything. Wood looks great. Did a light sand on all sides before applying polyurethane (another light sand) then a couple of more coats (total of 3 on bottom and 4 or 5 on top). Very pleased with the results.

Great product. Result is even better than expected. This is an unfinished product. It needs to be sealed and sometimes will need a bit of work. I used wood wax on all sides on mine. Put 3 coats and let them soak in 12 hours. Result is great ! Installed in sink undermount and when I cut the hole it revealed 3 holes. Two I believe would be from a bugs and the third one is a knot that popped when I routes the edges. Wood filler and a bit of stain and it was good to go. Be careful with the router! Some parts are harder than others on the piece. I found the darker the wood the harder it was. Reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because there was some staining on it that wouldn't sand off. I used the other side so it wasn't a big deal. Its actually pretty cool, one side the color was a little different than the other so you get 2 options, choose whatever you prefer. I love it. Lets see how it holds up around here !

I purchased the Golden Teak countertop a month ago to use for my WFH setup. Once the countertop arrived, I followed the instruction and laid it flat on two sawhorses for 48 hours, cleaned it off with a tack cloth, and sanded all surfaces lightly with 220grit sandpaper. I originally wanted to use a Varanthanes water-based finish but after extensive research, I decided to go with Osmo Polyx Hardwax. This stuff is incredible. It has the lowest VOC of any treatment, can be used safely in small spaces and dries quickly ( 2hrs to touch, 8hrs to 2nd coat, 16-24hrs to use, 72-96hrs full cure). It is excellent when finished because the surface is hard and smooth without being waxy or oily. The only downside is that it's a little expensive. The countertop was easy to work with once finished and I added a cable raceway underneath for extra cable management. It has been a month and the countertop is great and I'm expecting zero sag. Highly recommend!

I purchased the Golden Teak top about a month ago to use as my desktop for my home recording studio (still in the building process). I went to the store so I could hand pick the plank I wanted. Must have looked at 12 of them until I settled on mine. Some reviews mentioned that they received some planks with damages and I simply wanted to avoid that and the hassles that came with it. When reading the reviews for this one I noticed many people complaining about it splitting and getting cracks after they purchased it. Once I got home I read the instructions that came with it, who read's instructions on a plank of wood right!! lol I do, and I noticed that no in reviews mentioned one important thing... the instructions clearly says to leave the plank in the room you will be using it for at least 48hrs so it can acclimate to the rooms humidity and temperature. So, as stated, I laid the plank on a flat surface, not on its side, or standing... but flat. Waited the 48hrs and then cleaned it up with a tack cloth to clean it up any dust particles and proceeded to apply my finishing clear coat. I used Varanthanes water-based Diamond finish. I contacted Interbuild first to make sure this product could be used and got the green light! I applied 4 coats on the top and 3 at the bottom. Also sanded in between each coat using 320grit sandpaper. And for me, the results is exactly what I wanted. I couldn't be happier with the result. So far, I haven't seen any of the issues other buyers mentioned. I think the time you put into the preparation will show in the finished product. I would highly recommend Interbuild countertops. I like it so much, that I am ordering the same plank in its smaller size to use as a shelf on my desk for my studio monitors when they arrive and my 40" screen. Follow the instructions given and you will get a great-looking product guaranteed!

I purchased this after reading reviews of people having their wood create cracks, however I figured it was do to not following the instructions for treating the wood after opening (of which are hidden under the clear wrap). I, however, did follow the instructions as I was prepared thanks to the other reviewers. As you can see, the wood still cracked and I'll now have to fill it as this takes away from an otherwise beautiful project. There's also a rough gouge on the bottom of the countertop hidden by a thin piece of cardboard, this isn't an issue usually if your installing it where the bottom wont be seen, but it is something to take note on.

Super easy to prep, cut, seal. I did light sand by hand, aloe Vera baby wiped, drenched both sides with mineral oil. After dry I made my cuts & used a butcher block oil to seal. Best thing Iv done to my house this far!!! I’ll add more photos soon.

Good quality, really nice counter and quality piece of 1” thick wood. Color is beautiful. After cutting it to size, we applied 3 coats of a satin sheen sealer. It looks gorgeous, even better than we hoped.

Bought this for my standing desk frame. Great value and sturdy. It looks rich and inviting. Lots of space for a computer, 32-inch monitor and still have space to work on. Overall, the design and feel of this table top has been great so far.

Decent quality and held up pretty solid. Unfortunately, after a year I discovered one of the boards had slits cut into it and was filled to hide this. Whatever fill was used has now started to fall out. I would guess this is just one bad apple as all the other sections of my piece are good but this is a bit of an oversight. It would be 5 stars if not for this.

Colour and wood grain is exactly as pictured, although did need to sand & re-stain the entire thing as the surface wasn't very smooth to run your hand along. Thankfully Home Depot also sells the matching Interbuild Hardwax Oil, but it will run you another $40. Surface also had a few dents and dings when I picked it up - nothing that ruins the aesthetic by any means - but if you want a completely flat and unblemished surface this might not be what you're looking for. Overall though, a really nice looking piece of wood for countertops, desks, or even a coffee table too!

Product met all expectations. Used it to create a breakfast counter in a kitchen too small for an eat in table.

Despite some of the negative reviews, this came well packaged. Was shrink wrapped and in a box with extra cardboard on both sides and protection on the corners. Color was more consistent on one side than the other, but seemed intentional as that side was obviously the top. Ended up sealing it with polyurethane to use as a desktop. Very happy with the results.

I was so excited to receive the butcherblock so I could make an 8ft x 2ft desk. Seemed like the perfect idea. Unfortunately this butcherblock was made with nails, all of which I could see. And that's weird because I didn't realize they even used nails in butcherblock. Plus the organic white stain I ordered based off the picture online was actually tan. No white or grey like the picture. Just shades of tan. Did they even stain it? Or just ship it out in all its defective glory. To summarize, nails showing throughout this defective "butcher block". And "organic white" isn't even close to white.

It’s a great product and we used it as a table top for a desk ( to match the one we built about 4 years ago) . We finished the table with a couple of coats of polyurethane. Gorgeous and easy to work with. It’s sturdy and doesn’t warp after years of use ( previous table top) Cutting it was easy and didn’t cause any issues ( cuts were both length and width) I would recommend this product.

The product came in great condition and was way more beautiful than I expected. I applied a couple extra coats of the inter-build stain and so far it seems to be holding up very well against water Around the dish rack and my Undermount sink.

I bought this under the agreement that it was a finished butcher block table. Sure the table is nice, but there cracks and imperfections all over the wood. Even the stain was applied horribly. It looks as if someone applying the stain and some dripping off of their gloves onto the table and they just let it dry. I now have to work extra for something I paid for to avoid. Currently seeing what I can do for a partial refund. Otherwise, I’m really disappointed in my purchase and may highly consider returning. And please don’t respond with the same canned response you give everyone else stating that we need to add two additional coats of wood finishing oil. That has nothing to do with the imperfections and unfinished product that I received.

If tour looking for a light countertop to go with a light country or moden kitchen these countertops are nice. I had to clean up the edges but that is stated on the install directions.

Came with several defects that make it unsuitable to be used as a counter top without significant work. It is marketed as finished so I expect it to be ready to install.

I know this is supposed to be a countertop, but I bought it and attached some desk legs to it, and it works so beautifully as a spacious workspace in my home office. The colour is really stunning, and it seems like it'll be very easy to care for.

We bought this more affordable butcher block to redo old laminate countertop and placed this on top of the older countertop using Liquid Nails. After using a food grade mineral oil, they are perfect.

I've built with wood since I was a kid, I've built my own house, barn, etc. I am a commercial general contractor, and built our local church. Aka, I know how to build things. This stuff splits, chips, breaks, and bends. Pine is better... Seriously, pine is better.... It has no inherent stability, It'll split with no warning. I can break it with my hands. The only way to use this it to make it the equivalent of 1" thick veneer... and glue/screw it to something that is real wood. I bought 2 of these, hoping to return one of them and cut my losses.

Poorly put together. There were several joins of the smaller pieces that had noticeable gaps so the surface was not flat and smooth. The stain work left quite a bit to be desired as well. The color was also much lighter than pictured and some areas were very blotchy. This would have benefited from a wood conditioner before staining. Would not buy again.

Beautiful countertop. I've used it to make my own craft table / kitchen island. I bought the recommended food grade teak oil for the counter top. The oil was easy to apply and now the countertop is waterproof.

Installed this product as the counter top for our basement dry bar. Easy to cut to fit and finish with Butcher Block Oil. Used 5 coats and sanded between coats with 300 grit sanding block. Beautiful piece of wood. Took off one star for minor damage to the surface from inadequate packaging.

This butcher block is nice, though I would spend more money for a quality product. I oiled the product according to manufacturer's directions. After 3rd application, the product begin cracking. Manufacture would not honor the 1 year warranty.
