Solidly constructed door that replaced a side garage, west-facing door. The frame is measurably better and more sturdy than the oem junk it replaced. Also has a nice aluminum base that overhangs the bottom so rain and moisture doesn't settle under the door. I'm not a particularly handy guy, but was was able to install this with ease using the included instructions.

First time I replaced a door. Biggest problem was preparing the old opening: the previous DIY had custom fit a door into too small an opening. The door installed easily once I reworked the opening. BUT, it wasn't till I finally had the door fully installed that I got to see that one of the hinges was poorly installed and caused a slight warping of the door. Not sure how I could have detected this sooner since it was not possible to see the hinges until I could open the door all of the way. It was an easy fix: just had to remove the screws on that hinge at the door side, chisel another 1/8" in the mortise, stuff some dowel into the old holes, and screw the hinge in tighter to the door.
Other than that one hinge I am very happy with the quality of the door.
Retrofitting is not often a straight forward chore.

I ordered a Jeld-Wen door, but the door provided was actually made by someone else. (Masonite, maybe that's normal?) The door was as expected and wasn't too difficult to put in (being the first time I ever tried doing one.) The only hassles for me were the 22,067 industrial staples they used on the outside of the frame for the few attorney required warning labels or disclaimer. There was a chip on the finished side of the door frame, too. After getting the door squared in the rough opening, the pre-notched openings for the door knob parts didn't really align, but was an easy fix with a small chisel. I wrote some of those off to be a first timer, but got it installed in a few hours (counting the removal of the old door, too). I am happy with the end result.
