Junk. Corner stapled together skewed, damage from factory hidden by weather strip, inconsistent gap, screws driven in at angle not flush with hinges, and door itself is not flat. Even for an entry level price its horrible.

This door was missing 4 screws in one hinge. Another hinge was misaligned and not in its cut out. The lack of care that went into this product is ridiculous. Get a different brand of door if you don't want to spend time fixing shoddy workmanship.

Solidly constructed door that replaced a side garage, west-facing door. The frame is measurably better and more sturdy than the oem junk it replaced. Also has a nice aluminum base that overhangs the bottom so rain and moisture doesn't settle under the door. I'm not a particularly handy guy, but was was able to install this with ease using the included instructions.

The staples holding the corners of the jamb had missed their mark and were visible on the inside of the door frame. Both upper corners. Quality control appears to be nonexistent. Same with 6 panel pine purchased earlier. Had to remortise the hinges so the door would fit in the jamb.

First time I replaced a door. Biggest problem was preparing the old opening: the previous DIY had custom fit a door into too small an opening. The door installed easily once I reworked the opening. BUT, it wasn't till I finally had the door fully installed that I got to see that one of the hinges was poorly installed and caused a slight warping of the door. Not sure how I could have detected this sooner since it was not possible to see the hinges until I could open the door all of the way. It was an easy fix: just had to remove the screws on that hinge at the door side, chisel another 1/8" in the mortise, stuff some dowel into the old holes, and screw the hinge in tighter to the door. Other than that one hinge I am very happy with the quality of the door. Retrofitting is not often a straight forward chore.

I guess when you buy a cheap door expect quality control to be minimal. The top hinge was poorly attached to the door with one screw at a 45" angle. (see photo), and the threshold rubber of the door is a bit too tight against the sill. Once I had corrected the hinge I guess the door was average.

Basic door without any fatal flaws that prevented install but ... how does the manufacturer sell a pre-primed door and miss a spot in the middle larger than a sheet of standard paper? Was there something taped there? Also a big spot--1"x3"--on the inside edge of the door where the stainless steel is missing and door innards are exposed. My advice if you want to buy this door: be sure to do your own full QA before you walk out of the store, including removing anything taped on the door and opening it to inspect the edges. Otherwise be prepared to run back to HD (or your probably closer neighborhood hardware store) to also buy primer, putty to fix flaws, and sandpaper to smooth it all out.

I installed/replaced the side door to my garaged. The frame and door construction are good. The hinge screws, where they were attached to the door, were put in sideways, at about an 12 degree angle. So much so, the heads of the screws were not flush to the hinges. I had to remove the hinges, plug the holes with dowels, and remount the hinges. The jam was too short (narrow), so I decided to mount the door level and flush with the outside siding and glued 1/2" square dowels to the inside of the door case molding to make up the gap. Hindsight, should have purchased a door with a deeper jam. The extra steps took some time, but in the end, the door looks and operates great. I'd like to think that I got an odd door and that not all hinges in the product line are screwed in this way.

We didn't even get the door installed, on our new shed, before the frame broke around the latch hole (see pic). Since its a 180 mile round trip, to take it back, we'll just build our own frame, and not buy this one, again. With <½" of material, securing the latch, the steel door might as well be made of cardboard. Very poor quality/design on the frame.

I bought this door, to replace a drafty door that was in my basement. I also chose this door because I knew I'd need to cut it down, and I thought a solid door would be more forgiving for this. The door went in as easily as expected. The door has a nice tight fit when closed. Shortly after installing the new door, the temperature in my basement rose 3 degrees. Very pleased.

Installed this door a couple months ago on a garage. During a week of very cold weather, the door would not open. At first we thought the lock was broken, but after sawing through the latch, we discovered it wasn't the lock at all but that the door was completely stuck in the jamb. Had to body slam it to get it open and then again to close it. Once the weather warmed up, it opened fine again. So now I have to decide whether to try to deal with uninstalling this (giant pain since it's all sided and caulked in) and try to get a refund (even bigger pain) or just hope that this doesn't happen next time it gets cold? What a terrible product, should have stuck with my normal exterior doors instead of trying to save money with this.

Screws for hinges were protruding and not all the way in. I had to reset 8/10 screws just to get the door to close. Looking like a Friday before a holiday kind of effort.

This steel pre-hung door went into my existing frame with no problems. Leveled in easy…nice seals too.

I had to replace an exterior door in a 100+ year old building. The old door was 30x84 which is now only available as a very expensive special order. I selected this door because it looks like the old door and the historic district in which the building sits requires that I maintain the exterior appearance and this was the only door I could find at a reasonable price to meet that goal. The magnetic door gasket seals so well that it requires a strong push to break that magnetic seal. The first time I opened the door I thought I'd done something wrong, but, once the seal was broken, the door swung freely. The instruction sheet covers a number of different doors, so I had a bit of trouble with the instructions and had to really study them. Someone who installs door regularly probably wouldn't be bothered. In the end, I got a satisfactory installation. The delivery got a poor score because the door was not placed where I'd requested and they failed to get my signature as requested. I was also disappointed that I never got a text that the delivery had occurred as I usually do with Home Depot. They did send an email, but I don't sit at my desk all day so didn't see the email until about 3 hours after delivery by which time I'd already found the door. I did not have to contact customer service so that's why there was no rating for that.
