It is not compatible with my old Kidde and I am very frustrated! Will return!!

Hello. It does have a different wiring harness plug. For this reason, we do make an adaptor to adapt the old plug to the new one, the 20-9003 adaptor, Internet # 325826336, Model # 21032239, Store SKU # 1009901067. You would plug the adaptor into the old plug and the new alarm into the adaptor.

I am going with average rating because this is a replacement for on that gave a false alarm. Bought the same detector because of the mount matching. Unfortunately they saw fit to change the plug so I have to retire. Replaced a First Alert in Fl that was 8 years old and the plug matched. Why change something just to change it?

Advertised as correct model but it is incorrect. Wiring does not match what I need.

Hello. As it says in the Product Details, this is the UL Listed 900-CUAR model 21032251. How is this inaccurate? Please call us and clarify at 1-800-880-6788. If you are replacing an older Kidde alarm, you will either need to replace and rewire the wiring harness plug or use the 20-9003 adaptor Internet # 325826336, Model # 21032239, Store SKU # 1009901067.

Seems to be doing a fine job. No fires, thankfully!
I was disappointed that the connectors to my 10 year old Kidde units were different, so I had to wire in new connectors. But not difficult at all. Also, had to replace mounting plates.

As advertised, easy to install as long as you know how to wire- have a pellet stove in house and this is alarm is nearby in case of malfunction with stove

Easy to install! In my case I needed to get an additional adapter (to install without re-wiring).
It's pretty sensitive, already a couple of alarms for regular cooking. We'll see how this works in the long run!

There was a problem installing the new product, the existing pig tail wire did match the product. There is an adaptor which Home Depot did NOT offer. I had to buy the adaptor from Kidde approx $8.00 and then pay a $9.00 shipping charge. Home Depot needs to carry the adaptor!

It’s ORANGE!
It’s orange, not white as pictured. The thing is hideous as in it has got to be a joke. Just not funny since I really don’t have time to go back, return it and find a serious offering.

Hello. The alarm is white but has a red/orange dust cover on it. The dust cover is to protect the alarm during construction or renovations and should be removed when such construction or renovations are done as the alarm can not detect smoke properly when the dust cover is on.

Multiple missed deliveries, product shown is not available. The wrong product was shipped. I called the store and they said they had the correct product, so i drove 2 hours to pick them up only to find out that they did not have said product. I ordered a kidde smoke detector model kn-cosm-iba, please remove this from your website as it is not available
