[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dishwasher to replace a 10 year old GE Profile about a month ago. I thought the GE was quiet when running, this one is super silent! I’ve never had a dirty dish come out if it since I started using it. The capacity is awesome! I only have to run it once a day washing dishes from breakfast to dinner for a family of five. The adjustable middle rack really helps to fit larger pots or pans in the bottom rack. The third rack rack is roomy enough to fit plenty of mugs and small bowls. The only downside is it takes longer to finish a cycle than my old GE but again, the dishes come out all clean. So far, although a bit pricey, I’m really satisfied with my purchase.

This model has a current Service Pointer for the heater element bushing, but my serial number falls outside the pointer's range even though the leak was from that exact part. Unsure why the range hasn't been expanded. Wish I had caught the leak sooner. Water ended up running underneath on the subfloor and caused our kitchen floor elsewhere in the kitchen to cup.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What grabbed my attention at the store was the handle and how well the door closed. It locked into place and it took some effort to pull it open. I felt it was made more sturdy than other dishwashers from that first impression. Now using it, it cleans thoroughly, dries, and is really quiet! I didn’t know dishwashers could be so quiet. I’m used to them rambling to themselves as they clean. At first I wasn’t sure if it was working! Very happy with this upgrade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We did a lot of research before deciding to get this dishwasher. The previous one we had made a lot of noise. We waited for a “sale” and we got this reasonably priced & qualified for free installation. We love the modern look, full compartments inside and water efficiency use. It’s worth your investment. It will definitely last for many years.

Just bought this dishwasher and had it professionally installed with the added Home Depot install service. One day in with this thing running 2 cycles the spinning water jet head at the bottom of the dishwasher had the plastic melt and fall off. Home Depot looking to resolve this issue which is great but this things a piece of crap and Whirpool/ Kitchen Aid no help at all. Home Depot is trying to help all they can but im sure it will take a month + to get a replacement part from Whirlpool/KA.

previous dishwasher installations have been easy, so we assumed this would be similar... that's what i get for assuming. There are 4 possible slots cut into the sheet metal for placing the 2 anti-tip brackets. They're cut accurately to fit the bracket, however the two holes punched in the body of the DW (with short plug screws in them) do NOT align under any of the positions where the brackets can be placed... meaning there is no way to screw in the anti-tip bracket screws through the bracket and into the counter support. This will now force us to use the sidemount bracket slots (the screw holes DO align on the sides), which means i now need to frame up a strong support around the DW (our cabinet doesnt go up to the side of the DW - it has a front facade panel covering a multi-inch gap... too large a span for mere shims). Had known the machine would be built with this flaw (and come with instructions telling us to use a screw hole that doesnt exist where instructions twll you it is), and that this would take so much time, i'd have either paid for someone else to install it or bought a different machine. I cannot rate it, yet, since install is delayed... but, I cannot post this w/out a rating, so I'm putting it at one star, for now... will gladly edit that once it's installed and working... to be continued.....(photo shows a bracket laying across the machine between two of the slots on top...you can see there are zero holes in front of where the bracket is supposed to slide into either of those slots. It's the same on the other side...oh, lest anyone get confused, yes, I'm aware that is not how the brackets would be installed...its merely been set on top to show dimensions and sheetmetal slot vs hole cuts)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the dishwasher for about 3 weeks now and I like that my dishes are very clean and the plastics are dry when I take them out. I like the 3rd rack because it's larger than others on the left side which leaves plenty of room on the right side of the middle rack to put large bowls. The reason I only gave it 3 starts are the following: I have square dishes and the small bowls and small plates tent to tend to settle in the racks at an angle (with the corner sticking downat the bottom of the rack - see photo). This tends to touch the rotating arm (where the water shoots out) when the machine is running and makes noise when running. I find this a little frustrating. Another thing that frustrates me is the length of time it takes to wash. If I put it in normal mode with the "hi temp wash" setting (see 2nd photo), it can take more than 3 hours to wash and dry. If I use the express wash cycle, the "hi temp wash" option isn't available and although the cycle is shorter, the dishes and plastic remain wet (and I mean very wet). I have to dry everything manually. For these 2 reasons, if you have square dishes, I don't recommend this product. and I'd only recommend it to others if they have 3 hours to do a cycle (like overnight). If you want to do a quick wash during the day, be prepared to dry your own dishes because they won't be dry when the cycle ends.

I had no idea how wonderful the third row would be but it sure is. My 6qt kitchenaid mixing bowls fit in with room to space. 100% recommend this quiet and wonderful machine.

Bought this when renovating our kitchen this summer in July. Despite many configurations and settings, it never gets our dishes clean. We now have to hand scrub every morsel of food or residue off our dishes before they enter the dishwasher which pretty much defeats the point of having one. Here is a sample of how our dishes looks after running in this dishwasher, before we have to rewash them. Our old dishwasher which was 6 years old and from GE never had this problem.

She helped me dry or rewash the dishes from our Bosch dish washer and after cleaning the filter every time she said "Get rid of this piece of JUNK! You do way too much entertaining to put up with this!" That is when we bought the Kitchen Aid - WOW what a difference - Quiet, Hot Water, Sparkling Clean, and Dry Dishes every time, small or full to capacity loads. Plus the filter is clean; all soap residue is rinsed away. Amazing! Just gave a lovely Cancer Community Charities benefit luncheon for 38 and with just two full loads all the dishes, silver and crystal were spotless and dry. AMAZING! Love it! Thank you for producing a great KitchenAid dish washer. Other dish washers have the third rack but with sharp plastic barbs as dividers, that could easily nick your skin or jab under your finger nails to the cuticle. We appreciate the Kitchen Aid dish washer engineers for producing a well thought out design. The upper drawer design is safe and adding the lower extended area gives needed space for small dishes or kitchen tools which eliminates having to squeeze them in between dishes. I was concerned that the upper drawer would not get dishes and silverware totally clean and dry but the washer tube below does a perfect job and YES, dry every time! Plus, measuring cups and small plastic bowls do not get tipped over being left full of water because the design gives the right amount of water flow preventing that from happening. Amazing! All our friends know how happy we are with our new Kitchen Aid Free Flex dish washer. Thank you for making our lives much easier. You have a very satisfied customer. Thank you. Outstanding Job - Applause !!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would forego the very top rack and then have the bottom rack not so low to the ground. Also, the middle section of the second rack does not allow the bowls to align straight. (I typically don’t recommend any products.)

We have owned this dishwasher for two full years now. Overall, we have absolutely loved it. It's quiet, it cleans well, it dries well enough. Overall, we were thrilled with this unit until recently - when rust started to develop around the drying vent in the upper left corner. If the rust hadn't happened, I would fully endorse buying this dishwasher - but spending ~$1k for a unit that causes itself to rust in ~2 years under the clear coat so you can't remove it in any way is just ridiculous.

Purchased this dishwasher on 11/2020 less than two years the unit has failed "part number Circulation Pump Filter W11108699 " failed on unit. Unfortuanatley did not get extended warranty if you decide to purchase be sure to get extended warranty provided by HD I called Kitchen Aid they indicated cant help since out of 1 year warranty. I feel this is known problem and they could helped us out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dishwasher on 7/6 and couldn’t get anyone to install it for a month…it sat in my dining room for a month! Of corse I lose one month on the warranty now. It is finally installed and so far, I just love it! I have not been able to fill it, there is room for everything! It is very quiet, you don’t know it is running. The 3rd rack is fantastic for holding small bowls and glasses as well as silverware. The heated dry is terrific, it really works, even on plastic containers.
