[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fridge is huge. Lots of room in the fridge and freezer. I’ve had an older side by side for 30 years. This refrigerator holds about twice as much. It isn’t counter depth but who needs that. If you have a big family, this is the refrigerator for you. My only concern is the ice maker. It doesn’t have 2 ice makers and we like a lot of ice. I usually bag it up and keep some in the freezer for hard times. We haven’t ran out yet, but haven’t had lots of people over yet. Only had the fridge for 4 months. I’m sure it will eventually let me down. But the size of the refrigerator will have to be enough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Drawers and shelves seem flimsy, and could break easily and they also have very sharp edges. The metal part for the outside water and ice dispenser is also sharp.

Once a technician came and repaired it from making loud noises it has been great.

Broke. Doesn’t work. I am seriously disappointed. Apparently, there is a 48 hour return policy and now I’m stuck with a broken fridge. I will never buy another thing from Home Depot.

This fridge, particularly the freezer, has caused so many issues over the years. The icemaker would freeze over constantly and never dispensed ice out of the door. Then, it started thawing out the freezer every few months. We lost so many freezers full of meat and other food because this thing would just periodically thaw itself. Many technicians could not fix. Do yourself a favor and buy ANYTHING else!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The water filter compartment does not shut right. Some of the plastic pieces around the filter and elsewhere don’t stay in place. They don’t fit very well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced a similar Kitchenaid with this one. It's an excellent fridge. Keeps food even colder than our older model, better air flow throughout the entire fridge and freezer. The LED lighting is great, the fresh produce drawer keeps things ripe and fresh. The ice cubes are smaller and dispense easily and don't get stuck together like the older model. The unit is quiet and a person really has to put ear to the back to hear it running. The air filter and water filters are great and the produce freshner appears to work well....I just have to buy replacements as required. The max ice feature comes in handy when using a lot of ice, although this unit makes ice faster anyway. This unit has all the features a person could want, the digital display is impressive and we are very happy so far!

Generally happy with the refrigerator design, but honestly didn't want the water/ice dispenser in the door because they often break and are excluded from their standard warranty. So, here we are. Water still works, but ice is completely broken. First the auger died and wouldn't dispense ice. Now it doesn't produce any ice. I tried all their suggestions to reset it, but nothing worked. Too expensive to fix without a warranty that covers it. Based on other reviews, any repair will only be temporary. Back to using ice trays which frankly sucks. I would not recommend this product.

It is very easy to clean.The icemaker works great and functions far superior to our old Samsung, The best function is the "Measured Fill" feature. You press that button, it starts at 8 oz and you can increment the volume as much as you need. My Kuerig reservoir takes about 40 oz and it is very tedious to press and hold the water dispenser lever. It isn't 100% accurate (a 32 oz setting gives you about 26 oz but it is pretty easy to adjust moving forward. The ice bucket can be a bit to seat inside the freezer but whenever this happens, I dump the ice in a large bowl, reinstall the bucket and it seats just fine every time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Want to give it a five, but a couple of small things prevented it. The ice and water dispensers are extremely stiff, require a lot of pressure. When dispensing ice, it literally shoots out ice in several directions. This might be prevented if I could hold the container higher, but because it takes so much pressure to dispense this isn't possible. Second issue is when I pull out the middle crisper drawer out, the one above it also comes out. Apparently one of those drawers either isn't positioned correctly or it's defective and I can't figure out which it is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this for 3 weeks and it seems to be doing a great job. It maintains the temperatures well in both the freezer and refrigerator. The lighting inside is great making it easy to see the contents of every shelf. The drawers seem a little flimsy but they open and close easily even when loaded down. Vegetable drawer is keeping lettuce and celery crisp through the past weeks. Freezer compartment is roomy due to the icemaker being in the door. The capacity of the icemaker is smaller than our previous appliance. Whether it can keep up with summer demands remains to be seen but it does have a setting to increase the frequency of the ice cycle. This refrigerator is quiet. It does have various whirring sounds, hums, and buzzes, but you have to be close to hear them. The loudest noise is the icemaker when it delivers a batch of cubes. The control panel is easy to see and use. The measured water dispensing is a great feature, but beware th automated dispensing as it doesn't care if you have your container in place or not, you can end up with a wet floor. The lit icons throw you off as the touch sensors are quite a bit below them so you have to get used to that. We are pleased with this refrigerator, so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm enjoying my new refrigerator. It fits my needs as I don't have a ton of food at any one time except maybe the holidays and it worked out fine. It has 3 vegetable bins, more than what I need, but I pretty sure the top drawer can be removed and that would give me another shelf if I need it. It came with a wine rack which I removed since I don't have a lot of company drinking wine frequently but it is a nice feature. Very brightly lit with led lighting. The front of it is stainless steel unlike my last fridge so I can add my magnets back on. Very happy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this to replace the one we'd had since 2007. It is the exact same design and size, however the freezer "drawers" seem much smaller. Appreciate the see - through shelves in the fridge. And glad it does not show many fingerprints.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this new refrigerator. It is spacious and well designed. I so appreciate the lighting on the side that dims and increases in brightness as the door is open . The only issue I had was that the stainless steel was a different sheen or finish than the stainless steel of the wall oven purchased from KitchenAid at the same time. I thought they would match. They are both stainless steel, but clearly different finishes. I wish there were some way to coordinate the finishes/sheens of all major appliances of the same brand...

Purchased this refrigerator in 7/22. In October 2022, the months after purchase, the freezer was building up frost in the back panel, that extended from top to bottom. Service person ordered part, that did not come in for 6 months. In March 2023, the part was in, repaired and everything was fine. I just noticed the same frost issue reoccurring. But, parts and labor are only good for another 4 months (7/2023). Now I'm forced to repair, what is a manufacture defect, and in occur any costs associated with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice fridge.clean look inside and out. Cools well and seems to maintain constant temp. Takes some getting used to food placement after having another brand for 15 years. Wanted a quality product that will hopefully last a lon time. Only complaint is that wiring at bottom of freezer door now makes a clicking/crackling sound when I open and close the freezer door. Gathering it’s the wiring cover material that’s doing it. Hoping wiring does not crack at some point.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this refrigerator a couple months ago. Love the features. The only problem is that the freezer door came with a damaged seal. So we are still waiting for the replacement door (replacing entire door). Lot of condensation and ice chunks on internal parts. Door light is also sticking hopefully just due to the seal and all the extra frost inside.

would have given a 5 star, but i don't like is where cut-off switch for ice-maker is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought on December 2nd to replace the same model I purchased in 2002, yes to replace one that was 21 years old. I hope I get the same performance and longevity of the prior one. We love KitchenAid quality and have a dishwasher, standing mixer and food processor made by KitchenAid as well.

The first 1 delivered had insulation foam coming out all over and deemed a total loss. They replaced the refrigerator months later with one that arrived with a damaged door. After 3 replacement doors were shipped, we finally got one that wasn’t damaged. The water dispenser on the door worked less than 6 months. While I insisted they cover the parts under warranty, they still required me pay $134 diagnostic fee. Do not buy anything kitchenaid. The quality is terrible.
