I have had this for 18 month now. The cooktop and range work well. But just noticed 1 month ago that while cleaning dirt out of the oven with a soft cloth only that the blue liner was chipping. It is small area but not covered by manufacturer as it is past the 1 yr warranty and definitely a manufacturer defect. I have not even self cleaned the oven yet so has not even been exposed to very high temperatures. Very disappointed that this should happen on a high end appliance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love, love this double oven range. Debated whether or not to purchase a single or double. So glad we decided on double. Love to cook/bake, so having the ability to use both ovens at different temps, at the same time, is so wonderful and time saver. Can't wait to use this for the holidays. Glass cooktop is a bit difficult to keep spotless, seem to be cleaning it more often than my previous glass cooktop, but not a show stopper.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I am normally not a review writer, but we are disappointed with this stove. Maybe its just us, but we can not get the cooktop to regulate. It heats up and turns off. Difficult to keep liquid at a boil. 2nd complaint is that you can't push the oven close to the back of the wall. We did make an insert in the drywall to allow for the plug, but because there are 2 outdents behind the control panel it won't go flush. (see pic attached) 3rd complaint is strictly cosmetic. The side of the oven door is not finished. (See picture) No one wants to see the blue ceramic part of the oven door!

I first purchased the oven in December 2017. In less than a year, the blue enamel from the inside of the oven cracked. I spent several hours on the phone, in which one KitchenAid rep told me it was just cosmetic and that's not covered under the one year warranty. She told me she could have a tech come out, but if the cracked blue enamel was deemed cosmetic, I would have to pay for the tech visit. I thought that was ridiculous, because how can the blue enamel be cosmetic? I mentioned that since it was cosmetic, I would run the self clean. She quickly told me not to do that and wait for the tech. I told her why should I wait for the tech if it is just cosmetic. After going back and forth, she said that KitchenAid would pay for the tech visit. The tech came out and told us it wasn't cosmetic and it could not be fixed. We would have to get a new electric range. I was offered a full refund and had to sign an agreement to dispose of the old range. I ordered a new oven in December 2018 and it was backordered and delivered the last week of January 2019. It is now March and the blue enamel in the oven cracked again. I'm repeating the process of phone calls, pictures, and emails, however; this time, a service tech doesn't have to come out. They are automatically sending a refund check and I have to start the whole process over again. Lastly, I noticed the temperature in the oven isn't true to what you set it to. This doesn't happen all the time, but the food can cook unevenly, where you continuously have to rotate the food. KitchenAid, there is definitely something wrong with this product, as I am not the only one experiencing this. Please take the time to figure out the issue and earn back your valued reputation. I have only owned KitchenAid appliances since we have never had any issues. I have to question the quality of KitchenAid now and may have to find a different electric range since this happened twice.

I ordered it in May 2018 and it was love at first sight but things started to go downhill. I'd clean up any messes or spills right away on the stove top, like if a pot boiled over accidentally or there was a splatter of tomato sauce while making spaghetti. Any mess would get "imprinted" onto the surface of the stove top immediately and it was impossible to remove. I tried regular dish soap, baking soda, a non-scratching sponge to no avail. I even used the highly lauded "Bar Keepers Friend" cooktop cleaner and nothing. The stovetop still looked dirty and not to mention that it scratched so easily. So frustrating! Then around Christmas time I noticed the blue enamel liner in the smaller upper oven was coming up in big shards. I called Kitchen-Aid and was told this is cosmetic and not covered by the warranty. They sent me a BLACK paint pen to cover the up the defective areas. Except the oven interior was BLUE. I called Kitchen-Aid back as I refused to use mis-matched paint and then they sent a service technician out to look at the oven and take pictures to submit for the claim. And then I never heard back from Kitchen-Aid for 3 months. During all this I kept in touch with a manager of the local Home Depot store and showed her the pictures and she was very understanding. She reached out to Kitchen Aid and got nowhere as well. Finally out of sheer frustration my husband went back to the local store yesterday and spoke to a different manager on call that day. He showed that manager the pictures of the defects and after much back and forth the store manager finally agreed to replace the range and the local store would eat the cost as Kitchen-Aid was essentially useless. The manager also told my husband that other customers have come in with issues with other Kitchen-Aid appliances and Kitchen-Aid had horrible customer service. So buyer beware - if your range works without any issues then consider yourself lucky. If you have any issues, then you might as well shoot yourself in both feet because Kitchen-Aid doesn't stand behind their products.

I bought the kitchenaid double oven range in February of 2018-a little over 6 months ago. I previously had a maytag gemini double oven electric I loved. After many years of use the gemini was tired and a new model not available. The Kitchenaid oven doesn't cook well. Internal temperature is correct but the fan only runs when the element heats and everything take twice as long to cook. It started showing error F1E1 faulty circuit board within the first month and reset (oven off)worked for a while. Now I have to shut off the breaker to reset. New error yesterday F3E1 shorted or open bottom oven sensor. This range is total junk-steer clear. PS: I work on commercial kitchen equipment every day so fixing wouldn't be a big deal except parts are expensive and one needs an authorized service contractor to maintain the warranty. I agree with others citing the burner locator dots look like dirty spots on the cooking surface and doesn't clean up well. Never spilled anything on it or left anything to burn. Just normal drips and splatter from cooking doesn't clean off to a nice shine no matter what specialty cook top cleaner I try. I hate this oven and it will likely end up on the junk pile in less than a year. Waste of $2000!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are new to convection cooking so it is something I am sure we will get used to. The cooktop is laid our efficiently. Love the keep warm burner. The fast boil feature is nice as well. The multi size burner is nice for different size cookware. This unit replaced a Hi Low range with an upper and lower oven. We thought we would really miss have two ovens, but this range fits the bill perfectly. We coupled the purchase of this range with an over the range microwave/convection oven and it fits perfectly and vents to the outside. This unit matches our Kitchen Aid Dishwasher and Refrigerator perfectly.

We entertain frequently & I am looking forward to our next party & the pleasure of cooking everything at once regardless of the different food & required temperatures. The exterior is beautiful, I like the brushed back splash & the ease of the controls safely situated in the back The interior is gorgeous, cleans up easily with self cleaning & the time options are so sensible. Unfortunately I have a galley kitchen & I cook everyday & the heat in the kitchen previously was terrible, but with my Kitchen Aid there is no excess heat & it's so quiet, just wonderful!

It heats up super fast and the screen lets you know the temp as it pre heats! Lower oven has a pull out rack that I wish fit in the top oven...but not complaining. Stove top also heats up quickly and has a center warming station. Great for any household needing an upgrade!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] About a month into this oven and we love it. We have Electric model and the burner layout and sizing is excellent. I needed an oven that had the knobs in the back due to my back splash, so this was perfect. The controls are easily cleaned and solid knobs are perfect. But the double oven I must say is the best. So far, we almost exclusively use the smaller top oven as we don't need a full oven for baking things like cakes, casseroles, meats, etc. Why warm up the whole oven unnecessarily? Warms up much faster and uses less energy, etc. We love the ability to bake two separate things at different temperatures and times thanks to the two separate compartments. Wonder why we didn't think of it sooner because I almost just replaced my older oven with a similar featured one. Keep in mind, though, for electric double ovens - there is no space behind the unit to hide the cord (since the second oven uses all the space). This required me to install the plug inside the back wall in order to get the oven to fit more snugly against the wall. Call me type A, but I need my oven sitting as flush as possible to the wall. The design doesn't permit it to sit flush, so I actually built a a small knock-out lip and tiled it so when I push it back it sits flush against the knock out false wall. Looks awesome.

This is a nice little oven. A standard size yet has big potential. The top oven is not very big but large enough for us to cook chicken, pizza...items not to high. The bottom has convection and is normal size. You don't get a drawer underneath but get that little oven above. The inside is a gorgeous blue porcelain. The controls are top quality. They need to be pushed in and click as you turn. The stovetop has 5 different cooking surfaces with one having various sizes. You can't really see the rings but instead have dots to give you an idea of where it is. A little hard to see, at first, but it looks so much better. Best thing is it only needs a 40amp circuit. Most of the new ones, require 50amp. It's a plug-and-play.

Just had this installed as part of a major kitchen remodel. It was a race to get things done in time for Christmas. Managed to bake a yummy pistachio cheesecake for dessert even though I had mistakenly set the oven on convection! Still came out great. I would give this at least 4 stars except the stainless steel on the lower oven door seems to have a manufacturing flaw that looks like two small dents at the corner of the glass window. The store checked all the ones they had and said they all look like that. Apparently the manufacturing process needs an upgrade.

Bought this about a month ago and love the double oven feature! Easy to understand and set times. Warming burner is great too!

So far I put this oven through the ringer for Thanksgiving and it did a wonderful job. The double oven definitely help with the extra casseroles and able to cook the turkey at the same time. The ovens both cook very evenly and the convection feature worked above my expectations. I am very happy with my purchase.

Got my range in May. Today I call for my second service. Oven over heated. Burnt brownie in under 30 minutes. Top coil made the brownies look like charcoal. Service company does not have part, so who knows how long for repair. On top of that today is Thanksgiving eve. NO OVEN for my turkey

I owned this stove. Yes its beautiful. But there the compliments stop. My experience is awful. We got to know the repairman on a first name basis. The knobs get HOT. That causes something inside them to seize up. Then you can no longer use that burner until replacement. Ours fortunately was under warrenty for 7 years. That made it no less awful. Every time you turned around there was another problem. I always had a burner out. The top stove stopped functioning altogether! The day they took this stove out the door - was like the end of a nightmare.
