Nice dryer with many fetaures
So far so good! The dryer seems to work very well. We purchased the optional pedestals to make the machine more accessible. No More bending down and getting on one knee to reach into the dryer. We have had the machine a little over a month, and so far we are very happy with the purchase. I have surprisingly liked the LG Thinq app . It is handy when checking the progress of the load and getting alerts when it is complete and I'm not close enough to the laundry room to hear the dryer's chime.

        Four months old and ignitor failed
        Purchased this item 4 months ago and ignitor coil went out. First called Home Depot for repair but was referred directly to LG (HD was quick to identify it wasn't their problem but LG's). It took over a month between breakdown and repair by LG. During this time made several visits to LG's repair site which really got us no where but frustrated. Initially there we no warning lights on the machine so they said it was a blocked outlet and closed the case. After finally getting a human to talk to we were directed to run a test which then indicated "GAS" on the machine panel. They said we needed to fix the gas and again closed the case. I had to get confirmation that gas was available at the outlet. After another LG site visit we finally received an in home service appointment. Technician showed up in the four hour window they established and was friendly enough. I started to explain what was going on and he just basically waived me off and went to work tearing the machine apart. He knew exactly what was wrong as this appears to be a consistent and known problem with LG models, a broken ignitor and switch. He was in and out in less than an hour after our month journey to get the machine fixed. Not sure which is more irritating a new machine breaking down or taking a month with LG's poor service to get the machine properly fixed for a known problem (probably the month wait of not being able to use this new machine).

The guys that delivered washer & dryer did not want to install complaining that HD did not give hoses that were long enough to reach. They stacked the washer dryer but left it to me to install.             The appliance, the dryer is the model we ordered It arrived undamaged It functions as expected The issues we encountered were due to human error(?) We offer a suggestion to avoid future problems for other customers: When we ordered the appliance (by phone) your representative should have asked “ this is a stackable appliance. Will you, in fact, be stacking it? If not, you will need to order the pedestal with it.” This should have been apparent to the installers when the gas line Home Depot sent would not reach the gas connection and should have advised us at that time given that sales failed to do so. The fact that they didn’t bother to connect the water supply lines for the steam to function is almost secondary We actually figured this out since we have a pedestal under our washing machine,also LG and purchased from Home Depot. Unfortunately, a second installation service had to take place to get this done - a waste of everyone’s time, necessitated by lack of training in assisting customers receiving the information/advice required to obtain the correct product and accessories Everyone was pleasant to deal with, but as the saying goes, “Nice don’t feed the baby!” Customer Service needs to be coached to see the big picture, not just what is in front of them at the moment

            Dryer App is Frustrating to Install

There is a light in the dryer but it seems somewhat sporadic. It seems to dry pretty well but some of the heavier towels weren't quite dry.

              Cycle issues AI DOES NOT DELIVER
              12-18-23 bought matching set. If we could have seen these units in live demonstration doing a washing cycle WE NEVER WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THEM. Too difficult for elderly people to figure out. AI DOES NOT WORK.! AI senses need for 29 mins for just 2 sheets, 4 pillowcases when it's done drying and still shows 11 mins remaining on dry time. We have to stop it. This ThinQ AI is GARBAGE. Overpriced JUNK

                [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was installed in our apartment a few months ago and it works well. My only note to improve the next version would be to make the light corresponding to the cycle a bit clearer as to which one it is pointing to. Perhaps the cycle name itself should light up to make it easier to figure out. I always have to start from the first cycle and work my way around to be sure it's on the right one.

                  Same problem with newer model
                  The connections holding the computer board to the frame of the dryer failed with less than a year of use. The dryer is housed in an interior laundry room with AC and heat. We had this problem occur twice with our previous LG dryer which was operated in an enclosed outdoor laundry area that was not airconditioned. LG needs to address this problem. Otherwise, I am very pleased with the dryer.

                    Worst Dryer Ever
                    This has been my worst experience with a product in my home. I Paid for the install and install kit. The Home Depot installer shows up, says I need another piece, and it'll cost $50. Fine. I paid his bribe. Now, 3 months later, the dryer won't heat. I've opened about 6 support cases, 3 scheduled appointments to my house where the technician never showed. LG has the worst service. And I still can't dry my clothes.

What I would change is the lighting in the display because it is very difficult to read the print, the lighting appears next to your selection but if you can't see what you're selecting it actually defeats the purpose of any lighting.

                          We've had this dryer about 3 months. It's done a great job so far with no problems. It's very quiet and it's nice to get notifications when it's done so the clothes don't sit in the dryer for too long and get wrinkles. When this does happen it's easy to refresh using the steam option. It has a large capacity. We've been able to put several blankets and comforters inside w/o a problem.

                                The primary purpose of a dryer is to dry; and this one does a poor job of drying. It does not get beyond just warm, no matter what setting you use. It does a very poor job of drying towels and other thick and heavy items. I have had the dryer for one month and I am not happy with it.

                                Very good dryer, not perfect.
                                [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this dryer for about a month. It does a pretty good job, but based on how new the dryer is we'd expect the sensor function to work a little better. I'll start out by writing that most of the 'fancy' functions on this machine are sensor functions, i.e. they sense the dryness of the clothing. We have not done anything sophisticated, but have noticed that for every load done on the dryer setting, there are three or four pieces of clothing that come out damp. We've resorted to just using the time dry feature, adjusting the temp based on the materials, with great success. Additionally, the Wifi will not connect to my LG app at all. We purchased new washing machine (WM4000HWA) at the same time which we love and does all functions wonderfully.
