Really good fans I got two of them they move a lot of air

I got two of these. Both made terrible clicking sounds. I took the front off of one and put it back on and it was fine. Didn’t work on the other one. The plastic molding for the blade has a lot of rough edges, and in mine there was nothing keeping the blades from knocking against the front panel. A waste of money.

Good wind and versatile fan. Love having the weather sealed motor plus thermostat for in the windows during the summer. I have had them before and they lasted years and took me three years to find anyone that carried these fans again. Came with no damage and before delivery date.

I bought two: one was not working out of the box, it only had one slow speed. Thankfully home Depot took it back 23 hours later the next day. The working ones work great, but a couple of hundred more CFM on high would be good. I would recommend!

Installed these fans in 25H by 18W garage windows to pull in air from the shade. They work tremendously and the closed edges keep a tight airflow. Lightweight and the feet fit perfectly on the window sill.

The fan is on the better quality scale of the spectrum of the Lasko's product line. I like the metal frame and the weatherproof motor.

I have both this weathershield 20 inch box fan and a Lasko white standard model and notice the air movement difference. Just the gray and black make this fan look great and work well while placed in my large double hung windows to cool the house. I really like the optional thermostat if I just want it to run here and there or till I fall asleep. I have used this for a year now, in/out the window, but all year round in the Northeast and nothing has stopped it from working. I included a picture of the shielded motor with the rear grill off while I cleaned it. Great job Lasko on this model. A definite recommendation for people who LOVE box fans and their multiple usages. As others have stated I do wish there was a speed adjustment to the thermostat. Currently, it will just shut off and on to the speed dialed in. Also, not a model specific concern but just a Lasko design is to rethink the plastic stability feet. They do not last long and I have had to make something metal to last longer on all my Lasko box fans.

Purchased as a replacement for a 8+ year-old LASKO built-in to an outdoor playhouse. Exposed to rain and sun, the unit still operated but was rusty and the plastic was degrading. The new unit was identical in dimension and utilized the same on/off arrangement. Color and finish was retail quality. Noted that the frame has additional mounting screw holes hand-drilled under the plastic grilles. No clue if this was a factory correction, but it does not harm it's appearance or performance. Auto on/off and long-lasting motor make it perfect for my application.

I always recommend paying just a bit extra cash for a 20-inch box fan. Not only does Lasko build the best ones in this category, but the Weather Shield pushes more air and has a stronger motor than units which cost a few bucks less. Makes for a great room fan, window fan, or even as the perfect 20-inch fan to build your own air purifier (which is exactly what I did with this fan model, four AC filters, thick poster boards for the bottom, and a bunch of masking tape.) I am happy, and it was well worth the wait, since most places were sold out of this unit. Keep in mind that the Weather Shield does run a bit louder than other 20-inch box fans, but it does not bother me. I just let it run at the lowest setting for my needs, and I quite enjoy the "white noise" as an extra bonus at night!

I have several "turbo" fans that had disappointing air flow even on the highest setting so I decided it was time to replace the box fan that had stopped working last year. My local store only had the version with the thermostat in stock so I decided to try it. This fan is a much higher quality than the last lower end lasko fan I had that started to fall apart and after the feet broke it wouldn't stand up. This fan is sturdy and stand up on it's own without the "feet" that you are suppose to put on the bottom. The feet seem worthless so I left them off since they make it impossible to put the fan in the window sill to pull hot air out. The documentation say this has a sealed motor so bad weather will not damage it. Overall it is a much better quality fan than the lower end version of the same brand, and really pulls cool air in or pushes hot out extremely well without blowing you off of your feet. Far superior flow than my "turbo" fans. The three speeds are the perfect you can blast it on high or get a nice lower, but still adequate, flow. I set this one up in the bedroom and it keeps the room noticeably cooler than the front of the house so I'm headed back for another. If my store had the version without the thermostat I'd buy that since I don't really see the need at least on a box fan.

I must commend Lasko for the planned obsolescence of this product. 2 identical fans purchased at the same time died within a couple weeks of each other, just after warranty expired. I am currently shopping for a new fan that is NOT Lasko.

The Lasko model B20573 is an exceptional fan. Reason for low rating is due to Home Depot online ordering isn't worth dried fly specks and we all know fly specks is fly feces.

Fan works really good. Nice and quiet. Pushes a lot of air. Thermostat is a real nice feature.

Need better feet,pop out metal would be great. they don't go in easy and you can't store it in the box.

Cooled a large area well & was not too noisy

I purchased this box fan approximately 3 months ago. After 1 month of use, I started to notice that it would start slowing down after about 20 minutes. Eventually it starts rattling and I just wind up shutting it off altogether. Nothing seems to be overheating. It just slows down to a point that it it gets too noisy. Quite disappointing on something that is pretty basic.

This is my second one; the first one I bought stopped working after 10-15 years of good service. I use it in my attic to blow out hot air to cool things down up there. The thermostat and the weather shield features mean I can leave it in the window regardless of weather.

after 2 days of use, both of them are defective.

Junk! Made a lot of noise a started breaking everywhere

Worked for less than a month. Returned to store today
