Good enough product for the purpose, but a bit more expensive than it really should be for what you get. Compare to 2-prong model.

I used this switch to control two overhead fluorescent shop lights in my garage. It works perfectly for my low current application. I no longer have to go all the way over to the two back corners of my garage to pull on the chains to turn on and off those two lights. Now I can control all of the lights in my garage from one convenient location.

These switched outlets by Leviton are excellent! I bought some for our friends and they also agree that they are an excellent product.

Picked this up from Home Depot today. It is the perfect adapter with an on/off switch so the device is always connected instead of having to unplug and re-plug if you didn't have it. I recommend this plug very highly.

Note that the store sku 1000124934, like for the one near me, can also be for model 1470-W Leviton tri pong (aka grounded) switch tap. The price is the same and the switch still activate/deactivate the live wire. Very happy to find some locally.
