This is a good quality connector for replacement on an extension cord. It has three screws that hold the front to the back making it a secure assembly. There is a strip gauge on the connection side to help with wire length. The cord grip area is such that it can accommodate both flat and round cord material. The terminals are such that they trap the wire and clamp down easily. Overall a good connector.

The Leviton 15 amp 125 volt 3-wire connector is easy to make connections as it uses a clamp to connect the wires. So no bending the wire around screws. I have used the connector and plug before to make extension cords that can handle heavy duty loads such as AC, fridges, and compressors. The connector is sturdy and will last for years of use. I used 12 gauge wire to make a short extension cord for my portable AC in my bedroom.

Quick and easy fix for a damaged cord, I always keep a couple of female cord ends and a couple of male ends around in my trailer. You never know when you will have the opertunity to use one. They have no packaging or instructions at all. If you don't know what you are doing just replace the cord. The color is good , high visibility, the plastic is tough and the connectors inside are quality. Once installed you can forget about it

This very well made and designed 3 wire female replacement connector is made of strong yellow PVC. Excellent for repairing a damaged extension cord. It is rated for 15 amps 125 volts.
All of the screws have heads which you can use either a Slotted or Phillips head screwdriver. The screws are also captive, so even when loosened they will not fall out of their holes and get lost.
The wires are attached by simply inserting the straight stranded wire between two little pieces of metal which are then tightened together with a screw, clamping the wire firmly in place. This makes for a very easy, simple, strong, and clean connection. No more wrapping the stranded wires around the screws and trying to tighten them.
The cord is held to the PVC housing by use of a two screw clamp, which squeezes down on to the outer insulation of the round cord providing strain relief should someone pull on the cord to pull the plug from the outlet.
The Black (Hot) wire is connected to the “Brass” colored screw, the White (neutral) wire is connected to the “Silver” colored screw, and the Green (ground) wire is connected to the “Green” colored screw. The Green screw is easy enough to identify, but the “Brass” and “Silver” colored screws are very close in color and more difficult to differentiate.

I always save the wiring that came with broken appliances that need to be disposed off in the recycle bin. I usually prefer the ones with flat plug so it can be use behind a furniture, sofa, etc. to prevent it from being dislodged accidentally. This product that I chose perfectly fits to my project. It is important to know that the amperage of the wire connector must be appropriate to the correct gauge rating you will be working on. This product met perfectly the wires I have accumulated. Be sure that whatever you connect to your project must be lower in amp. i,e, lighting etc. less than 15 amp.
