Love what this unit can do. It is easy to install if you follow the directions. Directions are very easy to read and understand. The overall install took me less than 15 minutes and that included programming. The wall switch is very stylish and fits right in with your existing switch cover plates. The smart bridge/brains of the unit is easy to get up and running. Our favorite part is the Lutron App which makes programming and operation simple and easy. You can do so much with the app. Program Scenes, schedule lights to automatically turn on and off. It even can operate by your location of your phone. The unit also integrates with other systems to make controlling your home systems very simple. Awesome product. We love it and are in the process of adding even more wall switches.

The Lutron wireless Caseta Smart Light Dimmer contains two in-wall light dimmer/timer switches, two Pico remotes, and the smart bridge. To use the system, you first must download the free app and install it on your mobile device or tablet. After creating a Lutron Caseta account, you then link the smart bridge to your home router. To link the smart bridge you need to use a supplied Ethernet cable, the smart bridge is not Wi-Fi enabled to link to your network, it requires a direct Ethernet link, the only negative I found in using this system. You next follow the on-screen prompts from the app to get the bridge up and running. Smart bridge only links to a 2.5 Ghz network when establishing a connection to your phone or tablet. Total time, about 10 minutes. After the bridge is set up, you add devices into your Caseta App. First, you add the wall modules and set it up, and next the remotes. Just follow the on-screen instructions, very easy and quick to do. After that, you can control any single pole light switch from the switch or either the remote or your mobile device. If replacing a three-way switch, you need to use one of the remotes as the second switch, by replacing the existing switch with a Pico remote control and wall plate Adapter (pico-wbx-adapt, sold separately). This ability also allows you to basically make any single pole switch a three-way switch by adding the remote to any location as the second switch. The remote is a compact design with the same controls as the wall module - on/off/dim. The units work with LEDs – up to 100 watts, and incandescent and halogen bulbs up to 300 watts The bulbs must be dimmable if you intend to use the dimming function. For the basic on/off and dimming features, it works great. Remote has a range well beyond line of sight as it’s linked to the bridge via the network. Advanced features of this system set it apart from other basic remote systems. You can set the scene to dim your lights based on watching a movie, etc. You can set a timer feature to turn the light on and off, and it is smart based on where you are located to track automatically seasonal changes. It also has a “welcome home” feature that turns your lights on when you arrive based on a geofencing feature of where your phonies located. Another option is that the system is compatible to control Lutron’s Smart shade system and also works with Alexa and Apple Home Kit. II have ours liked to Alexa and its pretty cools to say “Alexa, dim the living room lights”, and it happens! The bridge system is expandable to add more wall switches or plug in modules. Overall, a very good and expandable full control lighting system.

Caseta Smart Lighting Dimmer Switch (2 Count) Starter Kit w/Hub (P-BDG-PKG2W-HD). HD was out of this 2 switch kit, so they sent me a single light Starter Kit and a single switch with remote, so essentially the same thing I ordered, just in two boxes. No issue, because they billed at the 2 switch kit price! These smart switches/remotes are a bit pricey, but very easy to install and the hub and smart app are a game changer for our new LED under cabinet lighting. Turn on/dim/off away from home!

Easy to install, responds quickly to Alexa when using smart bridge.

Extremely easy install. I purchased a total of (4) switches and (4) remotes. If you're the slightest bit tech savvy, you'll be up and running with the free app in no time. Now that my downstairs is fully controlled with an app, I might do the upstairs too. Setting up scenes (like "movie night") allows for a quick adjustment of all switches on your network with one button on the app. So cool.

Wrong product has deceptive description and put my project behind time line costing me more money

I love the Caseta products and use them to AUTOMATE my home. Recently I purchased several dimmers and fan speed controls as a birthday present for an 80 yr old Veteran. He loves the idea and can turn off & on his fans and lights by voice command. It’s a step saver and helps improve his quality of life.

I bought these because my Insteon switches all were bricked when the company went belly up without any warning. One day my house went dark. So I decide to purchase a product from a popular light switch company which made it a choice between Lutron and Leviton. Lutron seemed to have more smart switches. I spoke to others who had them and the reviews were positive. They haven’t disappointed. They were approximately $20 more per switch than GE smart switches. Anyhow, I’ve now replaced 6 three way wall switches with 3 Lutron on off switches and 3 Lutron Pico remote switches. I replaced two three way dimmers and one single pole dimmer with 2 Lutron smart dimmers and two Pico remote switches. They all work great and were easy to set up with the hub and worked the first time. They’re functionality is great and the Pico remotes make wiring the second 3 way switch unnecessary which saves a lot of room in the junction boxes. Interestingly, I asked Lutron whether I needed a neutral (white) wire and they said since I have those in my junction boxes, they STRONGLY recommend that I do. I asked which model number that is so I can order some and they said we don’t have one so we can’t give you a model number. Is installed without the neutral wire and they worked seamlessly. Maybe this was a CYA type of response.

Love this product and have several throughout my home.

This was a great purchase! We installed flood lights all over the kitchen and dining room, plus the island. All can be controlled from afar with the remotes and worked well with my iPhone HomeKit. Installation was easy. We will be buying more when we make improvements to the living room and other areas of the home.

An excellent product for replacing two switches (3-way switches) without a neutral connection, but it is helpful to have an electrician to install. Basically, the switches become a single (1-way) switch on the hot lead with the other end being closed off and controlled by a clever remote. The remote can be mounted in a standard junction box with an accessory kit. The smart bridge works great with my Google setup and controls all via app or voice. Pretty neat setup.

Love it! Easy to install and the app just works. It’s nice to be outside working and to be able to turn on the outside lights without having to go back inside.

This system, in and of itself, is a great value and quite reliable! It is very easy to set up and is very cost effective. It includes easy to follow instructions the also enable you to manage 3 and 4 way switches. Additionally, if you really want to create a home theater space a joyful place to relax in, consider adding the Lighting control by Lutron Caseta Bridge and to the home theater control by the Logitech Harmony remote control and bridge. Logitech and Lutron have partnered which enables you to quickly and easily integrate your lighting and home theater system. Works well and easy setup

I am figuring out what a smart home means to me. The Lutron Caseta smart switches (both the light and ceiling fan switches) are a great way to start. Besides the nice app on my phone, it was trivial for me to add them to Google Home so that I can control them by voice

Lutron Caseta makes it easy in all aspects. Very easy to install (there is even easy videos to watch online), easy to use, and easy to access via the app anytime. I switched half of my house to these switches, and it’s only a matter of time before I switch the rest.

Above and beyond! Just love it! This doesnt require the ground wire which makes everything so much easier. I only have 2 main area that has ground wire and having lutron switch was convenient and you can control with the remote! Will be purchasing more.

Very easy to use and set up. Just be aware the switches are deep and you may have some issues for installation on older buildings. Great product and app works perfectly.
