Constantly disconnects from wifi
I'm not quite sure yet, but I think I regret purchasing this brand of leak detectors. These things are constantly going offline for several hours or days at a time, then magically reconnecting hours or days later (but not always). When offline, the app indicates that the humidity/temperature is still being received. How can this be if the unit is offline ???

      The 'thought' was good behind the product but the parts/material/construction appears poor. I was 'sold' on an affordable and alleged EXTENDED 5-year warranty which I purchased. HOWEVER, carefully ommited by MOEN is that the alleged extended warranty covers only parts but NOT LABOR. Thus, MOEN will pay for a cheap replacement part but will NOT pay for LABOR (under warranty) which can be huge. Customer also pays for expedited shipping - even if the unit (and related protection) is shot. The unit appears to have little or no fail-safes warnings when it fails. The 'program' is slow and not that well 'written'. Better than nothing, for sure, but I'm hunting for other devices and manufacturers of a similar product that I might perceive to be more dependable. The 'live' support is 'poor' and not, in my opinion, consistent with the quality you might think you are getting. Try looking for something else.

        A plumber sold me on this device because of its ability to 'learn' and take action when it detects a leak. The problem is I have a whole house reverse osmosis system with a water reservoir. This unit isn't designed to learn that pattern, my system will generate 100+ gallons of water, then be shut off until the water drops to a specific level. After the 'learning' week, this system was constantly shutting off my water because every time my RO system would run it would think it was a leak.

Smart Water Monitor and Automatic Water Shut Off Valve. If you're currently having issues with the Flo device being offline you can follow the steps below.
          Step 1:
          1. leave plugged in.
          2. hold reset for about 30 seconds until status light flashes rapidly. then let go.
          3. wait until valve light goes green and status light goes solid blue/white.
          4. Unplug the unit for 2-3 minutes
          5. Plug the unit and wait for 2 minutes for the device to go back online.
          If that does not work you can proceed with the steps below.
          Step 2:
          1. Have the Wifi Router Password near you
          2. Go to the Flo Device app and log into the account (If you are logged out)
          3. Click on the Home Screen and under My devices click on your name Flo device
          4. Click Device Settings on the top right corner, then Network Setting Change
          5. Then proceed with the following steps in the Flo App.

            Bought (2) 3 packs because I needed 5. You can't see the battery status until they're set up. The tabs were in place but one was dead and the rest were at 20%. They made it two months before I started getting daily Low Battery alerts. Now I'm out $27 for new batteries. Instructions claim they can be attached with only the adhesive pads. They're heavy so I had to mount them to studs because they kept falling off. Overall not happy, wouldn't recommend. Not going to bother with the water shut off.

              We purchased this after we had a pipe come loose from an upstairs bathroom causing $100k in damages. We have sensors under each toilet and sink in our home. It is so sensitive that if you get a drop of water on the sensor, the system will call, text, and email you. What great peace of mind! We had it professoinally installed at the main and had to add some electrical to plug it in. It was costly but well worth it!
