This tape is easily readable, marked on both sides (one side is oriented for vertical measurements) and has plenty of 'standout'. The lock button works fine. The attached magnets add some weight but are very strong and it's nice to be able to stick this to a ladder or a toolbox, and the magnetic belt holder is very convenient. Can't really think of a reason to spend more on a tape.

I like this tape measure. If you are getting one this one is packed with thoughtful features and would make a good choice. - Like the measurement printing on both sides of the tape. - Like the magnetic feature for storage/easy finding on my metal shelves and to use in projects as an extra hand. Be careful not to put it too close to sensitive electronics though! - Like the quick connect/disconnect with the belt clip base. The clip on the base is turned in a way so it makes it tough to come off your pants/belt. About as heavy as the one I replaced.

Overall, this is a great tape measure, it is just a little too heavy which is not a huge problem. The main feature of the tape measure, it's magnetism, is effective. If a point of measure is steel, the tap measure will stick to it which is great if it is just you on the job. I could not get it to stick to steel studs beneath drywall but the magnet is still pretty strong. For areas without steel, I sometimes stick the tape measure to a heavy tool, like a hammer, for a starting point. One advantage to being heavy as well is the fact that it "stays put" in a specific area. The magnet also 'sticks' pretty well to the belt holder. The strength of the 'tape' is good as well; I can extend it 8' before it folds over. I recommend this as a great tape measure for DYIers who often work alone.

This is superior quality. The belt grip is held on by 2 very strong magnets and has a reverse bend to help prevent it from falling off a belt or pants seam. The cover is quite sturdy. Survived unscathed from two drops onto concrete. The measuring tape can be extended to six feet without buckling.

Large numbers. can measure Horizonial or vertical with nunbers on both sides of th tape.
