Great, easy to use outdoor locks. Simple to set to a custom code and very weather resistant. This is our third of these types of locks and the other two have been outside on our gates for at least 3 years with no operating issues.

The lock was loose in the turn Diles and not suitable for outdoor exposure with freezing temperatures snow and ice. Outdoor locks need more protection and tighter parts so they can shed water more easily I purchase three, and after opening and using one I return the other two.

We appreciate your feedback and apologize for your inconvenient experience with this product. Regular cleaning and lubrication every 3-6 months is recommended to keep your locks operating like new. Locks used in extremely dusty or corrosive environments should be cleaned and lubricated every three months. Regular lubrication will also help minimize freezing in cold weather environments. For optimal performance, lubricate your lock with a PTFE Lock Lubricant. Lubricate both the Dial and the shackle. Apply lubricant sparingly. A very light spray(aerosol) or a few drops (pen oiler) is all that is needed. Allow lubricant to drain deep into the lock. Tapping the lock on a table will distribute the lubricant inside the lock and loosen frozen or sticking parts. Wipe excess lubricant off the lock, shackle and dials. Let the lock air dry. Once dry, the lock is ready to be put back into use. NEVER use dry graphite, or a silicone lubricant. Graphite is often applied in excess, which interferes with part movement. Problem started after first rain
The lock looks nice if no water or rain pours on it. After the first, I noticed the dial is getting stiffer to move, and even you set the correct code, it wouldn’t open easily. It’s been a couple of months now, it takes me minutes to get the padlock open. Not recommending for outdoor use.
