Make sure you read the directions on assembly. Make sure you tighten the vents real tight or smoke will leak out. Maybe fashion a seal around the door to limit the smoke escaping. Other then that I like it a lot

Great for the price. Happy to grab it on sale. So far, 3 smokes in and ribs and chicken are great! Dual fuel is a huge help to be a single father busy still be able to get a good smoking!

Bottom rusted out
The bottom rusted out after three years of use. It is not made of good quality metal.

Stay away
There was a small piece inside the oven. I placed it on the side. Then I started to finish putting the pieces together Here was the shock, one of the door hinges was broken and there was someone in the company placed the piece inside the door and placed the oven in the packaging I sent the company a message, and each time I waited five days for them to respond to my message I have been waiting for three weeks now for you to be able to use it, and I am still waiting

Great until it catches fire
Frankly...I loved this smoker. Used it for 3 years. The paint peeling was a given and scraped it off. Now the fun part. Mine caught fire the other day right after I pulled the meat off. So my smoker got smoked.

Excellent smoker however there are no seals around the door and smoke leaks out constantly. Wood chips burn through very fast when using propane as the fuel source.

Great smoker/. Easy installation. Seasoned and it was ready to go. Ribs turned out great and had a lot of the hickory smoke taste. Keep close eye on water tray and don’t let it go dry

it has rotted away. making it dangerous
it smokes what you want to smoke.
unfortunately, the bottom is rotting off. was using my smoker recently and the guard protecting the burner fell off.
the burner was dislodged, the entire bottom has rotted off.
so yes it smoked food. but the way it has rotted away is very sad and it should probably not even be allowed to be sold as the way it has rotted and fell apart is a huge safety hazard.
very disappointed and do not recommend anyone buying this or any other masterbuilt product.
im in the process of Jimmy Rigging it so I can still use it.
Sounds safe doesnt it.........

Don't waste your time. Poor Customer support
Bought one of these in 202, half way through the first year, I started having difficulty with the burner operating properly. Contacted Masterbuilt about fuel delivery issue they said ignitor was the problem, nope. purchased replacement fuel regulator, could not remove old hose. Mastercraft support was no help. On the customer support side of things alone, I would classify this as a "Do Not Buy" but as the product itself was poor quality it's a definite no. More to say but only 500 characters.

After putting it together I then realized the hinge was snapped off so the door is useless. The smoker itself is

Junk
1st 1 gave trouble lighting at 1.5 yrs. In the middle of troubleshooting it blew my hair off my right arm w/the gas off & the doors open. The 2nd drip pan rusted out dripping into the wood tray & the paint on the inside started chipping & falling into the food @ the 3 yr mark. The 3rd 1 stopped working in the middle of a cook & wouldn't light. Would be more upset if I paid the new $270 price vs $100 for the 1st 2 and $160 for the 2nd one. The name may imply it, but no Master built this unit.

Meat is black
I’ve used this a handful of time. First few times it was great. Last three times I’ve used it I had to take meat off and wash off the black smoot. Even tried replacing the regulator. Worst I’ve ever used. Unusable.

Go with a different brand
The fire plate in the bottom Burns completely through within 6 months. Unit is and always was well maintained covered while outside but stored in our garage which is heated for most of the year. It rusts like you wouldn't believe. We got about a year out of it and now it's almost completely useless. I'd say go with a different brand.
Also unless you registered your product the day you bought it there is zero help and seeing the reviews here it looks like all the company does is criticize the customers for not maintaining it properly.
