Hi! Thank you for sharing your feedback! We are sorry to hear about your experience with our Crag Herringbone Sunset Slate. As for cutting this product, we advise laying out as much of a full sheet as possible then trimming the mesh with scissors to isolate areas which require cutting. Individual chips which require cuts can be removed from the mesh backing then cut. We recommend using a wet saw with a diamond tipped blade as that will offer the best cut with the least chance of breakage. Attempting to cut full mosaic sheets with a wet saw may dissolve the adhesive and cause pieces to separate from the backing.

We do want to clarify for you and future customers that if excess grout is not cleaned in a timely manner during installation, grout haze may form over the surface of your tile and negatively impact the appearance of your floor. Grout haze will trap excess dirt and make cleaning your tile difficult. If grout haze is an issue, we recommend using a grout haze remover to minimize the haze after installation. Home Depot always recommends Custom Building Products installation materials and they offer a non-cement grout haze remover that can be found here, http://thd.co/2igYxY0. We also recommend sealing natural stone tiles because of their unglazed finish in order to help preserve the look of the tile. When cutting mosaic tile, we recommend trimming the mesh to fit your space, then removing individual chips from the mesh and making individual cuts using a wet saw with a diamond tipped blade as that will offer the best cut with the least chance of breakage. This protective coating is designed to be easily removed with a mild non-acidic cleaning agent and light scrubbing.
