Lasted for 7 holes
Very disappointed with this bit after reading the rave reviews. I drilled 4 holes and then decided to use water to help keep the bit cool but, alas, it was too late, the damage was done.

      Longer but skinnier
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This drill bit is longer than my other bits of the same width (1/4") It's great it's longer. I think maybe they are skinnier for concrete because concrete will kinda dust as you drill while wood doesn't. It fits in easy and well into my drill which is a Milwaukee quick release type, so that's all that matters, since I eyeball the drill bit needed for any given scenario anyway.

        Works great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This drill bit works great. I make tumblers and this drill bit came in handy to drill my holes so I can string lights on it! It made a smooth hole! I have nothing bad to say about this product! Will be getting other sizes!

          Great Drill Bit!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the look of it and the red is a nice fit with the Milwaukee brand. The bit fits nice into the chuck. There was no wabble when driving. It holds up well when driving into wood. Overall great bit.

            Great accessory for drill.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a drill. But this drill bit is something that must be in all tool boxes great for drilling holes in concrete especially cinder blocks and bricks. It works amazing easy to use and I look forward to purchasing more from Milwaukee tool brand.

Used this to install some 12mm anchors in a concrete slab. Next time I would probably use a 1/2-inch, instead of the 7/16-inch. This bit, in my Milwaukee M18 Fuel hammer drill made short work of installing the four anchors.

Great Drill bit! I’m beginning a project to put a new door on my cinder block storage building in the back yard and this bit goes right through the cinder blocks with no problem whatsoever. The bit is 12” long bit with a usable 10” length. It is 1/4” in diameter. I use this with an inexpensive single speed hammer drill. There are instructions on the back of the packaging indicating this bit should be used on high speed for concrete, brick and cinder block. The length of the bit allows for installing bolts all the way through the cinder blocks for extra security. Out of curiosity, I tried the bit on a brick and some concrete. While slower at penetrating the brick and the concrete, it did a good job of penetrating both. This bit does a great job!

This 3/4" carbide bit from Milwaukee has a sharp tipped edge, making it easier to drill hard concrete, block and even rock granite. This drill bit can be used with a hammer or impact action. The sharpened tip allows this 3/4" drill bit to easily start into hard surfaces with no wobble, and makes drilling larger bit projects easier. Highly recommended for larger hole applications.

This 5/8" long hardened carbide drill bit from Milwaukee, is perfect for masonry and harder surfaces, such as concrete, brick, block and granite rock. It is the perfect concrete carbide drill bits for all concrete / masonry use. The hardened steel bit is sharpened for easy starting into hard masonry use. Drills easily into brick, block and tested on harder granite stone material, where this bit didn't wobble, and easily drilled a clean hole. The long shank is a added convenient feature making this product easy to use.

The Milwaukee 3/4 in. x 10 in. x 12 in. Carbide Hammer Drill Bit makes a 3/4 inch hole in concrete. It has a carbide tip to drill into hard concrete, brick, or cinder block, has a 10 inch long cutting bit and a total of 12 inches long from end to end. The shank fits into a hammer drill with a 3/8 inch shank. This bit is advertised to have 5 times the life as ordinary hammer drill bits. The carbide tip is sharpened in a fluted shape to remove the dust from drilling. This is a very nice, durable hammer drill bit. Cuts through cement quickly making a clean hole without wavering.

I needed to put some holes in the bottom of one of my wife's clay planters. These drill bits worked great. The first drilled right through the pot while not cracking the clay. I then use the 1/8th size bit to increase the size of the hole. Now the water can come out of the bottom with ease. I also tried these two bits on a concrete slab I had poured for a base to a shed kit I got from Home Depot. I had previously ruined several older concrete bits, while drilling holes to secure the shed base. These bits went right through the concrete with no issues.

This bit will fit in any electric drill that has a standard three-eighths-inch Jacob's chuck, but for decent drilling speed you must use it in a hammer drill. I used this bit in a old hammer drill that I have had for years. For a bit of this diameter I found it to be surprisingly fast. I didn't actually time it, but it seemed like it took much less than a minute to drill completely through a concrete slab that was five-and-one-half inches thick. It should be even faster in concrete block or ordinary clay brick. In new condition it has very sharp, machined cutting edges and should even cut through rebar pretty quickly. So far I have not been so unfortunate as to hit rebar. On inspecting the bit after drilling a few holes, I found chips in the cutting edge (see photo). Once the edge is chipped I would not expect it to cut through rebar as well as before, but it seems to continue cutting plain, even hard, well cured, concrete just fine. I may buy a second one of these and reserve it for times when I come up against rebar.

This ¾ inch Milwaukee Carbide Hammer Drill Bit is made by a company that has been a leader in the industry since 1924. My biggest issue with drilling into concrete or bricks is the bit slipping in the drill chuck. That shouldn’t happen here with the 3 flat sides on the grip. The wide flute will quickly push the debris out and help reduce heat. Like all Milwaukee tools, I recommend this bit for the DIYer or professional use.

First…this is a three flat shank bit suitable for use in hammer drill with a three-jaw chuck, not directly in a SDS Plus or Max chuck. They do make three-jaw chucks with SDS shafts, which is how I used the bit to drill into concrete and concrete block effortlessly using two different hammer drills—a corded Milwaukee and a cordless Ryobi. Drilling into brick took much longer. The new bit drilled smoothly, and the point stayed in position as the holes started but the hole in the CMU drifted and created an oblong hole—probably due to the material and not the bit. The flutes are much wider than some other bits—see comparative photo—which allows the dust to flow out of the hole without binding. The ”1” X 10” X 12” (25.4 mm X 254 mm X 305 mm) designation refers to the diameter, the nominal length of 1-inch diameter portion and the overall length of the bit from end to end. The flutes end 9-inches (228 mm) from the tip. This allowed me to drill through an 8-inch CMU with no problem, and I believe that the bit could handle a 10-inch block. Drilling through solid concrete looks limited to the 9 to 10-inch range with proper clearing of the hole. The shaft of the bit is reduced to fit in a 3/8-inch chuck. After drilling test holes through an 8-inch CMU and a brick and then 21 holes through 4-inch old concrete, the bit showed little wear except for some of the red paint near the tip—see photo. The smooth, red powder-coated flutes are a nice touch, but I cannot tell if they add to the functionality of the bit. The flutes are easy to clean and the paint should resist rusting. Alas, the “Milwaukee” bit is made in China.

As a homeowner and DIY'er i haven't had a ton of experience with large diameter hammer drill bits. Typically I have used smaller bits appropriate for drilling expansion anchors into concrete or brick. Let me just say, this thing is a beast. The reason for needing the product was to relocate exterior spigots through our 2 wythe brick foundation wall. I was looking for a clean hole since previous installations done by other homeowners were very rough made it difficult to install the frost free assembly. This bit made relatively quick work of the wall and i was very happy with the result.

Milwaukee, always the best design, best material, and best production under the stars. But I am a bit biased, been a fan of Milwaukee since they where made here in the states, even with external production, their products ie: drill bit, meet and excell the competition. Plus the look of their red has become synonmous with quality, and can be seen redily on the job site. Packed well. Love the hex shank.

I've always had a 3/4 masonry drill bit in my hammer drill storage box. However, they never seem to hold up as long as I expect. I ordered this drill bit for two reasons: I needed a bit to drill completely through ten inch concrete block & I'm expecting this bit to last forever. That may be an overstatement, but my experience with Milwaukee, in general, has been excellent. I'm not sure how much faster (they claim twice as fast)I this bit can drill thru concrete block, which has concrete poured into it, but any improvement in the time required to drill a ten inch hole will be appreciated.

Great addition to the tool bag. With most bits in my possession, I always prefer to drill a pilot hole into the material first, for two reasons. First, smaller bits are cheaper than larger ones. Second, by drilling a smaller hole you create a little safety net in case the hole is off a bit or in case you hit a hard object that will deflect the bit. This 1" bit is packaged nicely with the flutes painted, thereby delaying oxidation of the surface. After drilling my pilot hole, I switched to this bit and continued. it makes nice consistent holes for your project!

This carbide hammer drill bit is designed to deliver a faster start and do less walking across concrete, brick, and block. I've only used the bit on red block so far, and it bit almost immediately into the block and there was virtually no slipping. The design definitely removes the dust quickly and the bit does not seem to get overly hot like other bits I've used. Pleased so far.

I have two different hammer drills. The one this works with is the one that has a normal drill type chuck. I did a sample drilling in a piece of concrete and it worked good. The tip allowed it to start real well and it was able to drill two inches into the block in less than a minute. You might be able to use this with a standard drill in cement blocks that don't have the larger rocks that needs the hammer to break through.

I needed this to drill 1” holes in a concrete slab to anchor a set of stairs to the slab... long story! What I did not consider is the maximum recommended capacities for masonry bits as noted in the specs of my hammer drills. Turns out, while this bit was properly suited for the task, my hammer drills were not. Using a 1” bit was above the recommended max (5/8”) of my drills. And while I could use the step up method to get to 1”, the process would have taken too long. A more suitable and efficient tool for my job would have been my Milwaukee SDS-Max rotary hammer, but unfortunately the shank of this bit is not SDS-Max compatible. In order to use this bit as intended I’m going to need a more powerful hammer drill since I don’t want to risk burning out a drill. I’ve used Milwaukee bits in the past and they’ve never let me down, so I’m confident this is a quality bit.

The Milwaukee 3/4" X 10" X 12" Carbide Hammer Drill Bit is a quality product, just as one would expect from Milwaukee. It is designed for use on concrete, cinder block and red brick, all at high speed. It claims to drill up to 2X faster and last up to 5X longer in concrete. I often have need to drill into structural concrete and have destroyed name-brand bits in just a couple of uses. My 3" test hole using this Milwaukee bit cut quick and cleanly while showing minimal wear on the tip. If it holds up I suspect I just might achieve the 5X longer claim. End-to-end is 11 7/8" long, functional length is 9" tip to last of the spiral. The shank has 3 flat edges for the drill to grip better. Made in China.
