Milwaukee's 48 IN. ALUMINUM PIPE WRENCH . Big problems call for big pipe wrenches! And Yes this thing is big! It has 6 inch jaw capacity, dual coil springs ,handle has a good feel and is well finished. I have used this wrench only once on 4 inch cast iron pipe as the date of this review and it handled it flawlessly . No cheaters needed. I don't know how long it will be till the next use but with a limited lifetime warranty this tool will probably be a tool that will outlast me . =)

This thirty six inch aluminum pipe wrench is made by Milwaukee, that should be enough of a review. It is heavier than I expected but that's alright. It has a grey aluminum handle with black jaws and adjuster. It is heavy duty and very well made. It has a five inch bite roughly. With it's long handle you get a lot of leverage for those tough jobs. Very nice

How does one install a pipe wrench? There is a rating called "Ease of Installation". That leaves me baffled. I gave it a 5. Maybe they mean ease of installation in my work vehicle. This thing is HUGE. It's also heavy. I suspect it's around 20 pounds. That makes me very glad this was not steel. If my estimate of the weight is correct,, the steel wrench would come in around 60 pounds. The jaws move easily and grip securely. I can highly recommend this beastly pipe wrench.

This is a massive pipe wrench with a large 5" range. It is very solidly made and has no flex what so ever. It lives up to the caliber of quality I expect from this manufacturer. It is overkill for most standard plumming use, DIY/homeowner tasks, but the price is good where if you need a large pipe wrench for leverage, this is a great tool. We used it to break free connections on very frozen up ancient water heater. I thought the heater might crack open before the frozen pipe released. With the leverage this created, no problem and the heater survived intact enough to not cause a bigger mess.

All I can say is WOW. This 48 in pipe wrench was able to do every thing that we thought would be impossible. I volunteer at my local Church whenever we have some type of project that needs construction and sometimes destruction. We decided to re work the large play ground also used by our day school. On the grounds were several old swing sets that needs reworking along with several heavy duty frames with canvas covers on them. all were made out of 3", 4" and some 5" steel pipe. Because of their age most were either rusted or corroded. This great wrench easily allowed to grip with NO slip and relatively easily dissemble and rebuild the entire playground.Everyone was just amazed at just how good this wrench was.

got these for my husband who will be retiring soon, and wants to puttter around the house and possiby do some "industrial type' furniture construction. the wrench is very well made, even though from aluminum which he had his doubts about, but is very pleased with. They are of a lighter weight than your ordinary pipe wrenches, and easier for an older person to use.

The MILWAUKEE 48-inch Aluminum Pipe Wrench is a nicely made wrench. It is a little heavy, though. I used a 48" aluminum pipe wrench at a former job. It was not nearly as heavy. This one should last a longtime if not forever. I tried it on some 1", 1-1/4", and 2-1/2" pipe. It grabbed all these sizes of pipe with no problems. I have a couple of upcoming projects where this pipe wrench will be very useful.

If you are looking for a well made, heavy duty Pipe Wrench, this is the one. The "I-Beam" handle is strong and will enable leverage to break apart/tighten most all piping challenges. The jaws will permit excellent griping on metal or PVC piping. The wrench's weight is proportional to the length and material construction. It is not light, nor designed to fit in tight spaces. As you consider purchasing the wrench, please know your application scenarios, as it will need space and some muscle to operate.

These are very nice, heavy duty, pipe wrenches. When I ordered them, I did not realize how big 36 inch pipe wrenches would be. Even though the body is aluminum, they are still heavy. The jaws are thick steel, which they should be, and the wrenches are BIG so they are still not light in any way. But if you have to move a large stuck pipe, they are just the tool to use.

This is a very well built wrench that’s lighter than most, but very strong. The teeth’s grip gets a good bite and holds. The length gives you a lot of leverage to use on that stubborn piece of pipe or whatever you put it on. It’s easy and smooth to adjust; the adjustment nut is huge and easy to grip, even with gloves on. The handle is comfortable and don’t hurt your hands like some I’ve used. It has a limited lifetime warranty and it looks great, like Milwaukee tools do.

Just received the Milwaukee 48 inch Aluminum pipe wrench and I am surprised at how strong and light this is for its size, listed at 18 pounds. It has an overbite capacity and does open a full 8 inches but list a jaw capacity of 6 inches. Everything moves smoothly making adjustments quick and easy and the handle has a good feel on your hands and the whole thing looks like a heavy strong long lasting tool.

The Milwaukee 48-inch Aluminum Pipe Wrench features the overbite jaw with an 8" capacity. The wrench features dual coil springs with the claim that they will provide maximum durability and extend tool life. I like the ergonomic handle; it is more comfortable to grip than traditional, sharp edge handles found on some wrenches. The aluminum wrench features tough, hardened steel jaws providing durability. I also like that MILWAUKEE stands behind their product with a Limited Lifetime Warranty.

This Milwaukee 48 inch aluminum pipe wrench is a must have. The jaw opens to 6 inches so it can be used on very large objects. The wrench weighs 17 pounds so it is less than half the weight of the same steel wrench. Since it is aluminum it can spend its life in your jobsite box or in the back of your pick-up without worrying about it rusting. Finally, this wrench has a limited lifetime warranty.
