Great all around. Shines with it's suction on carp
It has great suction power. Really digs in on carpet. I mean this sucked some nasty stuff out from previous vacuumed carpet. I use it often and as my go to vacuum.

    Clog City
I’ve had this vacuum for a little longer than a year and I just made the decision to give up on it. I have experienced a 100% clog rate with this vacuum. The box that is meant to fill up with dirt never has any in it. Surprisingly bad for a Milwaukee.

Gen 1 curse, cannister hinge fatal flaw
Tried this out on my living room and felt that it worked well, but I did notice as some other people have mentioned that the power head is not adjustable so it jams on thick carpet. I was impressed with the suction and the power of the motor but when I went to empty a full canister I discovered a fatal flaw, the hinge snapped immediately for the spring loaded door. Only able to use the vac for about 15 minutes, the cannister hinge is extremely brittle and weak plastic I was not rough with it.

        Needs some serious adjustments
I bought this vacuum because like a lot of people, I trust the tools Milwaukee puts out. This vacuum will make me rethink that. It is poorly designed. The height of the roller needs to be adjustable. Not only that, it isn't set right as it sits. Vacuuming carpet takes some effort, and that effort yields moderate results due to the design. Like others have said, the smaller filter seems to clog very easily. I've only out about 40 minutes on the vacuum, and if I start it I get maybe 5 seconds of use in the carpet before the Red light comes on. That makes this useless because no one is going to stop every 5 seconds. In my opinion, the suction is top notch. If this were designed in a way that actually makes sense, it would be a really good vacuum

          Main Household Vacuum
This is a perfect setup to clean a house. I use this everyday to clean a 1000 square foot house with all wooden floors and some rugs. This vacuum had been used for about 90 days now and going strong. It’s great for a quick daily cleaning through the entire house for food crumbs, dirt, grass and dog hair. I have a 100 pound lab dog and this works great for daily cleanup of his hair. His hair does not clog the filter if emptied here and there. I wanted a fast versatile vacuum to clean the floors, stairs, baby stroller and cars. I found the black floor attachment is best for cleaning wooden floors and then the power brush attachment is perfect for rugs and carpet. All my rugs and carpet are smaller than .250 thick. Anything thicker will have problems. I only have a lot of 5 amp battery’s which work great on this. I usually go through 1 battery for a quick clean through the house and then up to 3 battery’s for a serious clean. Enough said. I recommend this over any other battery powered vacuum for the house especially if u have around 2-3 Milwaukee 5 amp batteries at home.

            Small Vac for Small Jobs
Works great when filter is 100% clean. Seems to clog fast and then the red “overheating light” will stay illuminated when the device is running. Great for small items/portability. Will not replace shop vac

Main issue... non-adjustable powerhead floor tool
This is actually a very powerful and quality vacuum (More on this later). Unfortunately, I think they dropped the ball when it comes to the main reason why most people are buying this vacuum, the Powerhead brush. The brush is at a "fixed" height for hard floors or very flat outdoor type carpet only. When you use the brush on indoor carpet, and even throw rugs, the lack of space and powerful suction will cause the carpet to actually lift up under brush and cause everything to bog down and make it hard to move. Either, they forgot to add a height adjustment (not likely), or they knew the .25 gallon capacity was going to fill up too fast on full carpet which holds much more dirt. Either way, it would be nice to hear why they made it a fixed height. Not to worry though people, just add 3M felt pads on the front corners and it will end up being a perfect height for most carpet (picture). As a test, I did try this vac on a 200 sqft room with thick carpet and 2 (bad shedding) dogs. After just vacuuming that one room, not only did the canister totally fill up but the inner cleanout did as well. As far as the unit itself goes, it does have much more suction than the M18 wet/dry vac, the power brush is very powerful, the 5.0 battery lasts about 8-10 minutes, they do use real ball bearing assemblies not plastic bushings (picture), the filter is on the smaller side (picture), easy access internal cleanout (picture), and it is made in Vietnam not China.

Fails on mats, rugs, or carpets higher than 1/4 inch
I’ll jump straight to the point. Forget about buying this vacuum if you’re thinking about using it with any type of rug, floor mat, or carpet higher than 1/4”. With the brush head being so low, the suction force seals the head to the carpet which then triggers the vac to auto-shutoff. This is a major flaw and a big disappointment since I had hoped the Milwaukee could handle more than just flat bare floors. Instead of a cordless Dyson or Shark, I decided on the Milwaukee because I already had a bunch of other M18 batteries and could easily swap if power ran out. I had read through the various negative reviews, but decided to still give it a chance. Well, the negative reviews were right and this issue is a disappointing deal breaker, so back to the store it goes.

great but missing that milwaukee kickpower
was expecting the milwaukee power that never disapointed. this was on the lower power side of suction from a vacuum that im used to. has alot less power than a dyson, shop vac and miele vaccums that i am used to but better than black and deckers, biselles and no names. i have the packout milwaukee m18 vacuum also. that one has more power than this. and this one needs to be cleaned quite often else you lose suction power quite fast. not really made for tradesman who need the job done quick and fast. more for home shops or little servicing jobs.

Like all Milwaukee Fuel M18 products, this stick vacuum is a well built, solid performer. Well designed and easy to service filters and debris canister. Lots of accessories from power carpet roller to flexible hose. Two speed power more than enough for excellent suction. A bit bulky but I really appreciate the modular design and the quality of material. That will become much appreciated as the tool sees rugged use in the future.

A good quality tool with too many design deficiencies. I'd stick with a canister vac for a jobsite. Milwaukee again brings a product with a good quality feel to it. The tool comes with a few different attachments, including a power head, that extend its usefulness. In general use, the tool works just OK. That's the good news. The bad news is it tries to satisfy too many audiences and comes up short on most of them, especially for jobsite cleaning. Here are some of the design issues I have, which I discuss more later. 1) No LED headlamp on either the floor tool or the power brush head. 2) No suction adjustment switch to allow easy use on throw carpets. 3) Insufficient suction to lift anything else but dry dust while using the floor tool. 4) Awkward weight. 5) Awkward storage, especially to keep in the job truck. Don't get me wrong. It is a vacuum and does what vacuums do, especially if not using the floor tool. But it should be able to do more. Because there is a power connection down the wand, they really missed the opportunity for the floor tool to have an LED. It is especially a shame that the power brush head -- which uses this power connection -- doesn't have an LED headlamp. The usefulness of such lights should not be underestimated. And unfortunately, there are none here. The suction is fine for use without the tools, and is actually quite good for the power brush head. However, it falls short on the floor tool because the floor tool has large gaps around its perimeter (likely to allow large debris in), and this causes a suction bypass that won't allow you to pick up anything but dust. See my photo and especially the attached video where it couldn't pick up a lumber tag. Speaking of suction, for the power brush it is good since it makes a good seal. But here you need some sort of bypass on the wand, usually a switch or shutter that allows a suction bypass. Without the bypass, the device will suck up the carpet and stop. It makes it hard to use on a throw rug, for example. Finally, I find this hard to store and hard to track the tools. The official video shows the tools attached to the wand while in use. I'm not sure anyone in the real world does that. More awkward is just storing the device. The shape is odd and if you choose to leave it with the floor tools attached, there's no good way to stand it up or hang it anywhere. Made in Vietnam

This is another well built vacuum from Milwaukee. I have the more compact Milwaukee vacuums as well so I knew how well they work. So my expectations from this one were high as well. I love that they include the two kinds of heads – one with a roller and one without. And swapping it out is a snap - literally. The roller is good when you are on something like tile and want to knock the things that stick to it lose while cleaning up. Then the one without is just the thing for cleaning up on wood and getting up all those shavings. I personally like to use the tool with the attachment holder detached. But if you prefer to keep it on it is as easy as snapping it on and once on it holds securely without sliding around and is just as easily removed. The design of that setup was well thought out. Here’s hoping Milwaukee keeps the design team they have because those folks know that they are doing and have a real eye for details. The filter is easy to pop out and clean and the bin is easily dumped. I’ve put this through some pretty good paces and have yet to drain a 9.0 battery. I have had the same experience with all the Milwaukee vacuums. They get the most of a battery. This set comes with a good little assortment of attachments. This tool is at home vacuuming in the house, on the concrete floor of my building or on bare wood during construction. And the suction on this thing is great.

I was excited to see this product announced this year, vacuums are a very useful tool on projects and around the house. While this isn't meant for house cleaning it does a pretty good job, the cleaning brush isn't going to be as good as the vacuums designed for house use, but I was able to vacuum up dirt our dogs tracked in with no issue. Where this vacuum really shines is the ability to act as multiple vacuum types, allowing for floor vacuum, car vacuum, even vacuuming in harder to reach places thanks to the main tube working with all the attachments. I will say the floor vacuums don't stay facing down well, I had to constantly push it back down with my foot unless I was running it at a steeper angle. The wheels on the floor attachment leaves a little to be desired as well, but on my garage floor and vinyl plank in the kitchen it did fine. Like any handheld/stick vacuum you have to be mindful of what you are vacuuming, it clogs easily but thankfully tells you right away with a red light when the the airflow is restricted because of clog or full canister. The canister is fairly small so on projects it'll fill rather quickly with sawdust or drywall dust, just keep a trash bag/can handy to empty it often. Overall I would recommend the vacuum for those with the M18 line of tools wanting something versatile for vacuuming.

Would not recommend due to thepowerhead attachment
Even though I know better to stay away from a Gen 1 product, time and time again I find myself taking a risk and getting it knowing it may have its flaws. This was one of those times I wished I stayed away. None of my local stores carried it or any store within 30 miles, I somehow managed to find a store in a town that I never heard of. Drove an hour to get there and I was disappointed with the performance on my rug. The issue is that there is no way to raise the height for the power head attachment and by default it was designed too low. The roller is lower than the wheels, so when you turn it on low you have a difficult time moving the vacuum. When you turn it on high, forget about it, this vacuum turns into a tractor beam and the rug does not stand a chance. The only reason I got this was because of the powerhead for my rugs since that did not work well. It was no reason to get this. I tried the other attachments, but like I said I got this for the powehead attachment for rugs and carpet. I have a M12 I was better off simply using that , the same way I would this with the other attachments. Suggestions: Fix the powerhead, make it's height adjustable. add a light for the powerhead too. To get an idea of the issue with the suction for rugs, take your hand and cover the port for a vacuum and try to use it to pick up other items

The Milwaukee jobsite vacuum has plenty of power and has two setting for the motor but the high setting drains the battery quickly and I was using a 5.0 ah and I lost two bars just vacuuming my basement. The onboard storage is kinda in the way because it is big and bulky. The canister is easy to empty whether leaving it on the vacuum or removing the canister. The worse part of the vacuum is that it does not stand up by itself so you need to lean it on something and hope it doesn't fall and smash on the floor so you have to take it apart to store it. The tool caddy can be mounted to the wall but the vacuum can not.

This is a really nice vacuum with pretty much all the accessories you will need. Run time is very good. At low speed I got 29 minutes of operation, and at the high speed I got 18 minutes, using a 5 amp hour battery. The powered head unit is nice, but it doesn't roll across carpeting very easily until you lower the head of the vacuum down to an angle that is uncomfortable to use. The floor tool has rollers on it that makes it really easy to use, and will likely save scratching on the floor. The tool holder is kind of a joke, this should really come with a bag to hold all the pieces. The vacuum is really well built and emptying the bin could not be easier. I really like the double filters. Disassembly of the vac is easy, making it simple to clean.

Home Depot has this listed with the wet or dry vacuums, it is not a wet or dry vacuum. It is a powerful cordless vacuum that will pick up more than just dirt. This vacuum picked up remnant of wire and wire ties leftover from a car rewire job I'm finishing. It's not easy for a vacuum to pick up wire. The vacuum has a two speed motor for varying levels of dirt and to extend battery life. The vacuum has the standard attachments like a brush, crevice tool and an extension wand to use floor attachments in a standing position. The vacuum also has a floor head with a powered beater bar. I was surprised at the suction the vacuum provides and the battery life has been very good so far. This is an excellent battery powered vacuum.

Well after using this Milwaukee M18 Fuel 18 Volt Lithium-Ion Brushless 1 Gallon Jobsite Vacuum (Tool-Only) package I am ready to give you my honest opinion of this product. Out of the package it has nine total components. Plus, you will need one addition piece and that of course would be the power source battery. It is not included with this particular Compact Vacuum Set. What is nice about Milwaukee’s line of products is that you use the same battery for most of the many different power tools they make. That in itself makes it so much nicer and convenient. This unit I intend to use in my solar powered shop but because this vacuum comes with a rug brush cleaning attachment, and a tile or hardwood floor attachment plus the curtain, corner, and furniture brush attachments. And in my particular case we own a large parrot that does need daily maintenance due to the mess it makes. I decided to give the wife a break and do the whole house which I do have all possible surfaces that I tried this vacuum on and was delighted by its performance. The suction is fantastic leaving nothing behind. It also comes with a wall mount requiring two screws (not included) for the attachments which I did not use yet but may use later in the shop to neatly store them until again needed. The battery has exceptional staying power which I did not time it running life when needing to recharge. I personally suggest you have more than one battery if you have a large area to clean. But the batteries can be charged very quickly if you only start out with one. My shop is run strictly on solar power therefore the reason I needed this vacuum to use mainly in that area as it is easier to charge a battery rather than supplying 110-volts to the standard corded vacuum I now operate with. For storage this item can be quickly broke down and hung or stored on a peg board, like some upright units do this unit does not stand upright on its own. That was the only design issue that I noticed. The one-gallon waste compartment is great. It is easily removed and replaced by the push of a button basically. It has an easy access compartment for checking and or replacing if ever necessary the HEPA filter and foam pre-filter as they describe it. This is one great unit that I am glad to have. It works great, looks great, and is made by a trusted company that I love and use daily its products. I recommend this vacuum and think that anyone will feel the same way as I do when they get it in your shop or home. Another great Milwaukee product. Two thumbs up!

Absolutely one of the best, and most powerful vacuums I've ever had the pleasure of owning and using.  This new Milwaukee Brush-less Motor  with a Two-Stage Dry Debris Separation optimized for dry job site debris really does perform as stated at  50% more suction than comparable models. I had already charged my battery pack, so as soon as I'd assembled my unit, i put it to work immediately. Very well designed and the pride of workmanship (as in all of the Milwaukee Products) was evident from the first few minutes.  Even more impressive is that it can perform 5 functions in one.  The detail on the box shows all of the various combinations it can be used in. The online video at HomeDepot.com was also very informative, and I viewed it a couple of times while awaiting delivery.  I totally recommend this new Jobsite vacuum to all interested consumers. I've shown it to family members a few times, and they also appreciate all that it is capable of performing. The unit is very well balanced, and weighs in at about 10# with the battery installed.

The Milwaukee m18 cordless stick vacum is a very well engineered tool. The vacuum features a nice hepa filter system with a pre filter for bigger particulate so the filter doesn't clog up quick. The stick tube is aluminum so it can take some abuse. The dust collection feature a cyclone separator to put the dust into separate bins as part of the system to help not clog up the filter. It features all the attachments you would expect including a powered brush head to clean carpet nice.

As you can see from the attached photos, this vacuum comes with a nice selection of attachments. I assembled it and tried it yesterday and am amazed at how well it works. I even tried it on carpet in the house with amazing success. The only thing I would have liked would be a storage bag to use for transporting it. There is a holder for two attachments that snaps on the handle but other pieces could get misplaced easily. That aside, this is a powerful vacuum!

                  Too heavy
Bought for the wife to replace her house vacuum. She said it is too heavy. Great suction, I thought it was awesome but if i want to start taking over the house vacuuming duties I have to take it back.

Good suction, didn't have all features I expected
I'm mixed on this. I thought the holding container was supposed to be separated; mine is not. I expected the motorized head to work on our very short nap rugs in our shop's office. This was partially my fault as it does say on the very bottom of the box that it is intended for hard floors only. It will work on the rugs, not well, but it gets it done with a lot of pushing. Overall, the suction is strong, and it does work pretty well. I have only used it a few times so far so I am hoping all of the negative reviews about the motorized head breaking do not come true.

                    Disappointed
Good for really fine dust. It’s much bulkier and heavier than expected. Very disappointed in its performance. Doesn’t like large dirt.
