I saw a video on these Milwaukee Shockwave bits on Youtube and my mind was made up. No more Phillips, Torx only, and Milwaukee Shockwave only. With a stronger shaft and stronger tip I can now use my drill driver and set these Torx as they should be. The 2 inch T10 is a smaller screw but perfect for a lot of the 3/4 inch stock I use for projects. Not only driving them in but also being able to back them out without messing up the head. Perfect.

After watching a Milwaukee video on these Shockwave bits, I made up my mind that I will proable buy nothing else from now on as long as they are available The 2 inch Torx T15 is a medium size screw I used for smaller wood projects. The Torx head make driving easier and slipping almost non-existent. The harder shaft and harder tip means these bits should last a lot longer than normal. Buying over and over gets expensive.

I saw a video on these Milwaukee Shockwave bits and decided I have to have these. One thing I hate as a woodworker is having a bit that starts to wear before you have finished your project. These Milwaukee bits have a stonger shaft and a stronger tip. The 2 inch T20 Torx is my normal size for wood projects. I have just about exhausted my supply of Phillips head screws and have started buying Torx whenever possible.

I saw a video on these Milwaukee Shockwave bits and decided I have to have these. The #20 Torx is a very popular size and I use the Torx screws more now than phillips The 3.5 inch is very handy in reaching hard to get places and know3ing the bit is not going to deteriorate. The strength of the bit and the strength of the tip should make for longer lasting use and less waste.

Milwaukee’s Torx bits fit Torx recesses really well. They’re not quite a stick-fit but they’re closer than most by a good margin. They’re almost milled to as tight of tolerances as Wiha bits, although not quite. They hold up well and the new laser surface hardening helps them wear longer. Strong impacts can still shear them on medium and large fasteners but they’re comparable to most pro brand’s bits and most fasteners I’ve used are equally as likely to shear from impact torque. For Torx, specifically, I will pretty much only use these if I can’t get my normal Wiha bits quickly enough.

Excellent, did exactly what it was supposed to do!
2 men, $1,800.00 lift, 300 1.5" Tapcons and a March day in K.C. with light winds. I had a small weather window an expensive lift and a crew on location no room for problems with nut drivers breaking or rounding out! Job went perfectly!

It's The TORX of the Town!
The T20 Shockwave Torx bit was tested using a 1/4 in. hex drive impact driver; Fifteen (15) 3 in. screws were driven into and removed from a 4"x4" pies of wood (part of a treated landscape tie). The bit mated well with the screw head, drove it firmly and did not exhibit any cam-out (as one encounteres with phillips head hardware) when the driver transitioned from rotation only to impact, as the screw drove deeper into the wood. After driving and removing the 15 screws, the tip was inspected and there was no noticeable wear.

    Works as advertised
The Milwaukee Shockwave Impact Duty driver bits I found to be as advertised. Consider I haven't used them excessively as I write this review, but compared to the standard type T25 torx bits, you can actually feel the difference through your impact drill. I also noticed that if you look closely at the Milwaukee bit as you use it, it seems to flex some, which to me indicates it is in fact absorbing the impact. Considering the affordability for a set of 5, this tool is a bargain.

In my opinion Milwaukee makes the best impact bits. They seem to wear the least and last the longest. Even small bits like these T15s. I've used just about every brand of bit, including the Tool Truck offerings. I have specialized Torx/star bits from one of the Tool Trucks and they break 5 to 1 compared to the Milwaukee. As an example I had MAC T15 and T30 bits break repeatedly. My back up Milwaukee set (which ends up seeing more use overall) keep going. I just broke my first T15 in over 3 years, I've broken one Milwaukee T30 in that time period. It seems I replace a Tool Truck bit every 2-3 months. I really believe these have something special over other offerings.
