Will be returning this item, there is not enough rubber to expand to the appropriate size to seal correctly.

It was easy to use and manipulate into the pipe. And affordable

Ibought both the 3” and 4” gripper. Unfortunately, they didn’t work, because my drain has 2 ears to screw the drain cover on, so the gripper won’t work. Had to return to store.

I turned this into an outdoor kitchen clean out plug that goes into cast iron. Works great.

The service from the staff was good, however I could not receive the item because it had a defect. No information was received on the status. I had to call the store and the delivery is coordinated for december 16. Please keep me posted so I can received it.

After I misplaced my old one, I didn't know where I could find this item. Oatey Gripper 1-1/2 in. Plastic Mechanical Test Plug was exactly what I needed. This item has saved the day.

The pipe thread is for a 3" threaded hole, because of the limitations of the plastic pieces coming together and how small the rubber surround is, it wouldn't seal the hole properly. I had the wrap the rubber at least 70 times to Teflon tape to get it to finally seal.

The plug would not expand tight enough to fill the inch and a half circumference I needed at the seal I had to go with another brand.

Wanted to use these to plug toilet drain but clearance is to tight. There are other devices that work better for this.
