usually very reputable, this particular batch (2 bags) didn't work well at all ... must be a bad mix that's why it was on sale at half price ...

Bird Feed Not Grass Seed
The birds love this stuff. I called Pennington and they said that birds don't eat it. They obviously neglected to tell the birds in my yard.
I put the seed down in a number of places throughout the yard where there were bald spots and those places became instant bird-feeders

I have been waiting weeks and I continue to anxiously await any sort of grass to make an appearance. Not sure what’s going on, but I can’t get this brand of grass to grow in my yard. Speaking of grass, this product is well over 90% wood. Boy did I overpay for a bag of wood

Product produced grass very quickly and looked good for about 30 days and then died just as quick. Last time I went to the store there was a big display just inside the front door. The product was on sale for half price.. I would never buy it again.

Germination took longer than the two weeks I was anticipating despite being keep moist the whole time. Also, I found small ground up pieces of yellow plastic that I’m sure were not intended to be there. Unusual, because I’ve always found Pennington to be quality product.
