Though it is a different design compared to the original, it works perfectly. Original design, as shown in photo, is open on both ends and utilizes a separate plate to seal the bottom of the filter. The new design has the plate built in and works fine.

Although it isn't made for our Craftsman 16 gal wet dry vac, the base stretches enough to put it on. Works fine. No filter plate needed.

This RIDGID wet/dry vac filter is very easy to exchange so it’s a breez to remove and clean between usage. This is the 3rd filter that I’ve replaced in 3 years. I clean the filter after every use and for at least a year of moderate service, the performance of my vac and this filter has exceeded my expectations.

Yes, this filter worked perfectly. No fine debris exiting the vacuum. By fire debris, I'm talking thin set that we busted up and sheet rock dust from our remodel. The first filter worked poorly, where this captured everything that was missed making for a nice clean work space to complete painting and putting down new wood plank ceramic tile.

Ultimately no, I would recommend this one for what I was doing. We decided to scrap down all the popcorn off the ceiling, which generated a ton of dust and debris. Vacuuming all the debris up with our Rigid vacuum was easy, however dust was still leaving the exhaust port. Opt for the more expensive filter if you want to trap all the dust, so your not dusting for a next year.

i have this vac for a while & quite powerful vac! i upgraded the 1 7/8" hose & wands to the 2 1/2" hose, wands & tools; & also bought the car cleaning kit, filter bags & hepa filter. i used the vac for vacing car interiors, home remodeling & clearing flooded kitchen (kitchen sink drain pipe burst) this vac outcleaned my other 'household vac' so it gets daily use vacing carpets & above floor. it even picked up a lite switch w/o clogging. the only downside is noisy; esp when using a turbo brush nozzle for vacing carpets upholstery & car interiors

My first time to purchase with Filter made with HEPA-rated material for my wet & dry shop vacuum that is craftsman. { My very old wet & dry shop vacuum. } It fit in fine in first time. I like that no odor from wet & dry shop vacuum. Cud smell nice in the air after using it. Really pleased with it but pricey.

Bought is is control vacuuming dust while sanding spackle. Worked great, installed quickly and easily. Will be easy to clean with my air hose as well.

I bought a new RIDGID wet/dry vac in 2011 and just recently changed the filter and bag. I decided on buying the more expensive Allegen pleasted paper filter because I am going to sand drywall and I needed the extra filtration. This filter does a fantastic job. With the basic paper filter like the one that came with the vacuum, dust would come out of the exhaust port. But now, no dust at all. And the new paper bag filter works great also. It is definitely work the money. Recently I bought a new WEN 6301 Electric Detailing Palm Sander. This replaced my old Black & Decker Mouse sander. The WEN has a vacuum port and I didn't particularly care for this when I bought it, but it ended up being a great addition because I am able to attach the RIDGID flex hose onto the WEN sander port. It's not a perfect fit, but that doesn't matter. Yesterday, I sanded for two hours and easily 99% of the dust from sanding the drywall was picked up by the vacuum hose. I attached a picture. If you look at the floor, there is hardly any drywall dust. Normally, I would have to vacuum the edges, but in this case, there wasn't any to vacuum.

These filters fit perfectly, are easy to install and do what they are supposed to. Cleaned behind and under a refrigerator and a stacked washer dryer area that had not been done in many years.

Item is an air filter for Techumseh engine on a Toro lawnmower. 1. it was the right one 2. You had it in stock 3. The store was close by 4. It was a whole lot better than the one I took off (pictures below) Mower run perfectly after installing; life is great!

We have to clean up everyday. The single layer filter works fine for us. Although we do have to replace frequently.

They're cheaper than the triple layer filter so I figured I'd try them to help keep the filter clean even though I saw a video review that showed dust got through. Dust and larger particles got through on my first try, and I see from other reviews that this is common. When installing the bag it's impossible to see whether the lower part of the seal is in the proper place (between two ridges) unless you stick your head deep in the drum and try moving the filter out of the way, which I didn't try, or use an inspection mirror, which I tried the second time I vacuumed with the bag. First attempt: I installed the bag, being careful not to stretch the rubber seal more than necessary to fit it over the plastic tube. It looked sealed per the instructions, and maybe it was sealed all around, but after vacuuming I found dust on the filter, dust and larger particles in the drum, and saw that the bag became unsealed and had a clump of dirt coming out of the seal. It make me wonder whether the bags holds ANY fine dust. Second attempt: I pushed the cardboard piece that has the seal way further on the tube than you'd think is necessary. I over pushed in my first attempt too, but I knew I had to try something else this time. Then, to see whether the seal was in the proper place (between two ridges) I pushed the cardboard out a little. It looked good. Then I used an inspection mirror to check the bottom. The seal was in the proper place there too. I vacuumed for a little while, probably picking up slightly less than the first time. Then I opened the lid and the seal still looked good. Either the bag, vacuum, or instructions should be changed, but if you do what I did in my second attempt (see the photos to see how it should look) it may work out.

My air filter on my shop Vac got clogged so I went to Home Depot where the service was great and they help me find a replacement air filter when I got home it was easy to install and it works great I would recommend Home Depot to everyone Thanks Larry Moreno

This was a replacement filter. Easy to install and provides great dust and debris filtering for my RIdgid shop vac. This filter is designed to last for years of use and is easy to clean. My first filter of this type lasted over 12 years for medium/heavy workshop and outdoor use.

this shop vac filter is working wonderfully and it was so simple to install inside the shop vac...I will buy more in the future.

While I'm satisfied with the quality of the product the cost is almost one third of the price of a new vacuum . Time to lower the price .
