This thing is literally just a glorified hollow piece of foam that is glued to the plastic Ridgid adapter. It is literally way too expensive for what it is.

I bought this around Black Friday and it’s been great. I built a stand out of pvc and plywood to mount a bucket and dust separator and it’s been great. I will buy a longer and likely upgraded hose but as it comes out of the box, it’s effective.

The bag not recommended for drywall dust Not Good

I can see how the bag could get ripped pressing the cardboard collar onto the inlet tube. I started by loosening the center punched area before sliding it on. I'm combining the two filters in a Ridgid HD1400 so that I cut down on my clean up. I'm hoping that the bag holds up to the debris I throw at it. I have had other brand bags explode during use in smaller vacs but it's gotta be better then doing the clean up I'm used to with this one. Giving it four stars because of the potential of ripping the bag while attaching it to the inlet tube.

I had to replace my old shop vac of 36 years. Sad to see it go, but this new one is a delight to use. I would highly recommend

Have used it for vacuuming the car and indoor carpeted steps. Could not had gotten a better one for the buck

I purchased the wall mount VacMaster vacuum from Home Depot online. The order system recommended I also purchase a 2-count package of replacement filters (Rigid brand). I thought that would be a good idea. It wasn't. These filters will not fit the VacMaster vacuum. The Vaacmaster filter is open on top and bottom, the Rigid ones suggested here are closed on top and so cannot fit. (see picture attached) I gave the filters high marks for the review because I suspect they work well in OTHER vacuums but not the VacMaster wall mounted one.

I am working on a large patio tile project that involves grinding of old thinset. I used a Rigid vaccum with Rigid brand vacuum bags and filter, Duststopper separator from Home Depot. 100% bag failure at the seams every time within 10 minutes. See pictures attached. These are way too expensive to replace every 10 minutes not including the inconvenience of having to clean up the filter the bags are supposed to protect. I went through 8 bags and every bag failed same place within approximately the same time frame. I would not recommend these bags to anyone with a project requiring vacuum and containment of dust.

Filters tinny dust particles, wouldn't recommend using this to vacuum liquids. There's a separate water resistant one they sell to

I bought this vacuum to vacuum bees up in my bee business. Definitely helps me when there is no power to plug in to.

I've had this for about 4-5 months now and I love it. It's real nice to not have to plug it in so the time. That said, I do wish that it was a hybrid that gave an option to plug it in, cause I don't always have available batteries with enough juice. Also, get yourself a couple 9Ah batteries. They give it more power and they last A LOT longer! I ended up buying 4 9Ah batteries so I can keep rotating them. It makes a world of difference compared to the 4Ah batteries that I started off with, with this vacuum.

This vacuum is great for portability and movement. The fact there are no cords helps you get around and do your job without getting tangled up. Two things it could use as upgrades is a drain plug and an option to plug in if the battery drains. I bought two 9AH batteries so I never really run out. This vacuum is a revolutionary item to have in your tool shed/garage.

This bag is exactly what I needed to grind carpet glue off of a concrete floor. Without this bag the filter will clog immediately. My first bag worked as expected. My next three all popped barely less than 1/4 way through. Same each time, the whole seam on one side wide open. This added considerable amount of time to my job as I need to clean the shopvac and the filter. I couldn't stop my project so the next 2 bags I stapled each of the ends up the seam and it worked. Based on the comments this appears to be a design flaw that has not been addressed.

I have used this filter to clean up drywall dust in my Rigid shop vac over the last 4 years. This filter has worked great for this application. It is easy to install. This filter has met my expectations and there isn't anything that I dislike about it.

These filter bags do not fit the vacuum I bought. The website and the package on the bags say they fit the model vacuum I have, but they do not! If you look at the picture, you will see a curved flange that is attached to the place the filter bag is supposed to attach to....the bag won’t go over that..the vac does work without a filter though.

Thus filter is more than adequite for shop and jobsite work. It fits tightly on the vac so there is no leakage around the filter. I use it for collecting dust from sanders and picking up dust that my larger dust collection system misses from my jointer, planer, table saw, etc.

Wow I'm still excited beyond belief

I like them and have bought a few of them but some of the bags have failed while using them when they are less than half full. They work a lot better than just a filter when vacuuming fine dust from Sheetrock or sanding.

Bags come apart at the seems while in the vacuum. For basically $10 a bag (which is ridiculous for a glorified coffee filter) i would expect a lot more. I have bought these several times and always the same results. Buy a different brand.

Fit my shop vac 10 gal. Just fine. Easy to use, easy clean up.

Truly a great filter, super easy to replace never have had a fitment issue, Use it with my 14 gallon shop-vac, saw dust, drywall dust, as well as cleaning my BBQ smoker. Never a issue of suction highly recommend this filter

Barely any dust in air

Cleaned my chimney and *zero* dust entered the room. My Ridgid vac already had the correct cylinder filter to stop chimney dust, but this bag did a fantastic job of keeping everything clean.

The RIDGID model VF5000 fine dust wet/dry vac filter works wonderful. I've rinse and let the filter fully dry for reuse once so far. The QwikLock fastening makes it super easy to install and remove from the filter cage, so no more using a filter plate nor screw nut. I have used the filter for many drywall and sawdust clean up. It's very functional!! The filter fits 5-20 gallon wet/dry vac. Very easy to install into your wet/dry vac.

the 1-layer everyday dirt pleated paper filter fits perfectly on my 5 gal rigid wet dry vacuum. very easy to install, just unscrew the nut at the bottom of old filter, slide it down and install new filter, screw the nut on and done! takes mere minutes and you are ready to vacuum. there is no dust escape with this filter, it is contained in the vacuum holding tank. i have had this for about a month and love how well it works and meets all my expectations you may want in a filter.
