I bought this in 2013 and have used it for many hours with no breakdowns until last week. It has been excellent and in tandem with a surface washer I have come to enjoy the chore of washing sidewalks, porches and more. It usually starts on the first pull. Great pressure. Very easy to use. Last week, I got overly energetic with 2 five hour projects and forgot to check the oil level. No compression so no start. I was sad to see it fail but pleased with all it had done over the years so I bought another Ryobi washer, the 3300 PSI, which uses the same model of Honda engine. I hope for more than 8 years this time as I intend to be better at checking the oil.

I have used this Ryobi 3100 pressure washer once each year for the past two years. It has stopped pumping water. The HONDA engine is great, starts easily, runs well. The Ryobi pump and/or thermal valve is garbage...and yes. I service it, empty in and put the proper anti-freeze in it for winter storage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this pressure washer about two years ago. Right from the start it wouldn’t stay running unless you squeezed the trigger. The power down system is terrible. I don’t attempt to use it very often due to the problem of keeping it running.

I’ve owned this for over a year and it’s never failed to start or perform. The only thing I don’t like is there is no oil drain plug. You have to drain and fill through the same port.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the RY80940A model with a ruined pump. Is there any reason that you know of that the RY80940B model pump wouldn’t work? The idle down assembly (pressure sensor) and pump design are different between the two pumps. Since the “A” model pressure washer is no longer on the market far as I know, I’m guessing the “B” model pump is an improvement. Ryobi will not confirm this and recommend the older model pump. Both the A and B model pumps are expensive compared to non idle down model pumps for sure..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the course of the last week, I have had occasion to contact the Ryobi Customer Service department twice. I spoke with Kristen, and Robert, on separate calls. I found both of them to be professional, knowledgeable, patient, and conscientious. I don't know if it's the way that their representatives are trained, or if it's Ryobi's hiring rubric, but these two rep's are model employees and I wish more companies had customer service rep's just like them. Really. Great job with a great power washer, Ryobi, and great job with GREAT customer service!

I bought this about a month ago and have used it to wash my Autos, Driveway, and Patio. It is much quieter than my earlier Katcher model. I really like that it idles down when you take your finger off the trigger. The 3100 PSI pressure is enough, but seems pretty much the same as my older 3000 PSI Katcher. I also like the rotating tip at the end of the spray nozzle as it saves time.I really wanted the one with the electric start, but I could not find any in stock close to me. I have many positives about this unit, and only one negative issue so far. The first two times I used it, the unit started perfectly and worked like a charm. From the 3rd time on, I had trouble starting it. The unit turns over fine, but then quickly stalls due to the Idle down throttle is set too low. If I press the spray trigger to increase it, the unit will not stall. I tried adjusting the choke accordingly, but that did not help. After the unit warms up for about 1-2 minutes, it will not stall immediately after starting. Unfortunately I cannot find anything in the manual on how to adjust the idle down throttle. I wish the hose connections were not so close to the ground. It does not hinder the operation nor is it difficult to connect the hoses. But, when I tilt the unit back to move it while the hoses are connected, the connections sometimes hit the ground and I am afraid of breaking them. I wish there was an option to mount the spray holder on the Right Side instead of the Left Side. This is only because I am Right Handed and it is easier for me to rest it there when finished. Another nice thing about this unit are the large wheels and minimal motor vibration. My old unit used to creep along the sidewalk when in use, but this one seems to stay nicely in place. I also like the Sprayer hose much better so far. While it seems much more flexible than my previous model, it does not Kink and it is easier to store on the back of the unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great piece of equipment as a homeowner. Are you to power wash my home and all the driveways sidewalks and travertine decking around the pool.

I bought a ryobi reconditioned pressure washer and found that the pump has issue.i am planning to call ryobi to help me locate a service center. I can't really rate it because i did not get a chance to use it due to the pump issue. My advice is that never buy a reconditioned pressure washer.

The machine comes with a soap tank and easy to use, adjustable nozzle that makes cleaning a breeze. Great power and functionality. The hose is lined with both plastic and metallic casing to prevent punctures which is awesome.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this to power wash my house before painting. It did an excellent job, especially the wash head, easy to switch between 3 wash settings, and 2 soap settings. Make sure you don't use E85 gas, read directions.

It was very easy to put together, very easy to store, and most of all it starts up easy sprays consistent. The bonus is the soap dispenser. I used it to wash my car, spray the exterior of may house and remove tire marks in the drive way. The pressure was spot on.
