A wonderful tool
A wonderful tool. Just wish the power cord was attached to the charger. When missing, I could not simply buy a new cord, but had to buy it with a new charger.

Where has this been all of my life. I'll never use a gas-powered chainsaw again. Very easy to use and does a great job.

Easy to start, easy to use, lots of power
I was always so frustrated with my gas mower, and must admit it was probably due to my lack of experience in using it. This is great for me, easy to start, easy to maintain. Battery life is good though I do have another battery for my electric lawnmower that I use to get extra cutting time. Really enjoy this piece of equipment.

Excellent product- I used the 40V battery for over an hour on the chainsaw and more than 30 minutes on the weed wacker before charging was needed. Chainsaw cut effortlessly.

Works great easy and simple to run. Not better then gas if you have big trees to cut but not to far behind.

I’m going to return it. It won’t work. The motor didn’t turn on. I’m hoping the next one will work. It delivered. I unpacked it. My battery was dead. I went out of town and when I got home it would not work.

Ryobi Chainsaw
The chainsaw is very impressive the first use. However, the saw tends to overheat then it stops midway into the cut and it gets very annoying. I have tried a 4ah and 6ah battery with same outcome. I'm not sure if it's suppose to do that, but highly annoying when it does.

Just the right size, weight, and power for what I need. Have taken down several large trees without a problem. Bar oil container real easy to fill and tell when more should be added. Brake system real nice and battery lasts for a whole lot of cutting.

Great for smaller jobs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought it for minor tree work. First time I used it the battery lasted about 20 minutes...but I had large trunks to cut up. Great for small jobs.

The chainsaw works well, my complaint is that the bar oil leaks out like crazy and I didn’t catch it In time and the oil stained a piece of furniture. I need to exchange for a different one

Battery life was short due to the power absorbed. It kept shutting down as though it was being overloaded. Ended up cutting one branch well then was of no help.

The tool works and cuts very nice ,unfortunatelly the oil pump was not working . After sending my complain to RYOBI , they worked with me and replaced for a new one.I have not try the new one yet.

This is a great chainsaw. It has plenty of power and cutting is a breeze. I have switched to battery powered outdoor equipment so I don't have to use gas and oil. I was a little worried that this chainsaw wouldn't have enough power but it exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend.

Ryobi 16 in chainsaw OK buy
The actual tool works very well. However, the included battery heats up after 30 mins of work and has to cool. It has about 1/2 charge after this happens. This is problematic if you're trying to do alot of work
