Good price a truly great purchase I cut a lot of trees that were down and needed moved. The saw cut great I would suggest 2 batteries as they can be drained very easily if you have a big job to do

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This replaces my 40 yr old Husqvarna gas powered chainsaw, so it is a step down in the ego department. The saw handles well and is easy to operate. It has plenty of power and cuts through 10 inch logs quickly. Actually-quite impressive. It is a lot quieter and no mixing of fuel or carb adjustments. Just add chain and bar oil and go.

Used the 16” chain saw twice, about 3 hours total. Completely dead next time I picked it up

Very strong, powerful saw. Glad I decided to try it. Only negative I’d say is chain does not instantly stop when trigger released.

Confirmed chain tension per the manual and used the ryobi chain lube. Ran great for 6 cuts but then the battery overheated and stopped running. I tried an older 40v battery and it runs for 5 seconds and then shuts down. My recommendation is to stick with gas or try a different brand.

The product I received did not work well. Ran fine as long as I wasn't cutting something. Would die out as soon as I got into cutting anything larger than 2 inches. Returned and bought a different product.

I've always owned gas chainsaws. Thought I'd try this Ryobi. Wow...speed of cut is FAST...very happy with this purchase.

It cut so much better than my gas-powered chainsaw and is so much lighter and easier to use. I bought an extra battery because this is the only 40V Ryobi tool that I currently have. I have not had to charge the battery yet and have used it for some time. I would definitely recommend this chainsaw even to a professional.

The drill is light and cuts

Chainsaw cuts effortlessly. No pushing, just let the blade and it's own weight di the work. Many cuts off one charge.

I have used it a few times since bought 3 months ago. No issues with the maintenance and general usage so far. No oil leakage as others complained. However the battery life is disappointing. From a full charge, I was only able to square 3 sides of a log about 12" wide cuts by 20" long. Had to use the second battery to finish the job...

I bought this for processing about 4 cord of firewood a year usually while it warm but fell trees in the winter. I would get about half way through the battery and it would temperature fault, understandable given the type of battery. I was more frustrated when the chainsaw would fault from running at full tilt for under a minute requiring the battery to be removed and replaced. I really wish the bumper spike was STEEL. It has been better at bucking logs up, with gravity, in the past. Sips oil.

I bought it as a once in a while saw for my firewood business and found it to be quite impressive compared to the other 2 professional gas saws I have. It does leak chain bar oil as others have stated but I just store it with bar pointed up and no issue. Battery is lacking I'd say but I bought it to make the odd cut without needing to spending 10 minutes mixing gas and getting the big 24" saw ready to make 5 cuts. So it's perfect for that.

Runs good till you try to cut wood. When I try to cut wood, it turns off immediately!!!

The chainsaw came completely assembled, placing the order was very simple, picking up the order at the Home Depot was easy, customer service was very helpful.

This was my first electric chainsaw. I was really impressed with how well it worked, cutting a large dead pine, til it died after only 40 minutes of work. Then you can't immediately recharge, the battery must cool off. Cooling time & charge time meant 3 hours before it was ready to work again. I gave it one more try and it didn't even last half an hour. How many extra batteries do you need in order to get any work done with this saw? Just not practical in the real world.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this today and after charging the battery I was going to try it out on a limb of a tree damaged in the latest ice storm. I ended up cutting the tree down, limbing, and bucking in about 30 minutes. Tree was about 10 inches in diameter so not a real little one. Battery still had 3/4 of the charge left when I finished. Big advantage is that it uses the same battery as my leaf blower and lawn mower. Gas powered chain saws will be relegated to garage storage.

This chainsaw works great. It’s light, tough and powerful. Or better than most gas generators that I have had. I highly recommend it.

i don;t like the extra safety button and if it's there it should push instead of pull

I honestly cannot review this for quality or performance, as I bought it for someone else as Christmas present.
