[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this drill bit set along with a drill, handsaw and sander a wedding gift over 9 years ago. Ryobi is an impressive brand that is long lasting and durable with our ever changing needs. It is the perfect beginners set for a new homeowner or married couple, it’s a must have! 9 years later we have expanded our collection but the drill, other tools and batteries have sustained extensive use and have won our loyalty. Now our Ryobi collection is quiet extensive and I recommend it to everyone I know.

Bits will break do not be fooled by the packaging. If you do decide to buy and use these bits protect yourself and wear protective gear. I would shell out a bit more money and get the Milwaukee bits they might cost more but cheaper than a trip to the hospital to remove a embedded broken ryobi drill bit

We needed some drill bits and headed over to the HOME DEPOT WEBSITE and found these RYOBI OXIDE DRILL BITS, which is a 15 piece drill set - this RYOBI OXIDE DRILL BIT came in a toolbox, which helps keep the drill bits organized and together, and which also has a wide variety of drill bits which can be used in metal plastic and wood applications - these RYOBI OXIDE DRILL BIT black oxide bits will outlast other plain steel bits and should last for a while - these RYOBI OXIDE DRILL BITS are of good quality and they are perfect for home or work

This drill bit set has a selection of bits from 1/16” to 3/8”. There are duplicates for the 1/16”, 1/8” and 1/4” bits, which are probably the most used. The set comes in a sturdy case with a flip-out holder so the case can lie flat on a table with the bits standing upright. The latch for the holder is a little tricky to unlatch, but it keeps the bits in place. I’ve only used the 3/16” bit so far to drill drain holes in a plastic trash cart wheel. The bit stayed in place on contact and made a clean hole. This is a good basic drill bit set.

So glad I chose this set of Ryobi black oxide round shank drill bits. They are super sharp and bore through just about anything with ease. The sizes could not be more perfect. The sizes are just right for any job around the house. The case that they come in is sturdy and really handy for storing the bits and keeping them organized by size. The case also keeps the drill bits clean. I have used almost all of the 15 bits so far and have not had a single problem - these little babies are a game changer.

I have been looking for a nice drill bit set. This set is perfect. I have Ryobi drills and they work great with them. My other drill bits were so old that the tips broke off. I am doing several projects around the house and these are so useful. They come in a 15 piece set with ranging sizes. Comes in a nice storage case so you don't lose any and makes for easy storage.

Retired here and like to stay busy with DIY projects around my house and for friends. I got tired of having to grab my big old drill index metal box and haul it with me to a friend’s house when all I usually needed was a just small sized bit. The 15-piece RYOBI Black Oxide Round Shank Drill Bit Set in the clear case it perfect size with very common small drill bit sizes. Features that I really liked also was that the bits have a black oxide finish to offer superior durability and 3X longer life. Another great feature of these bits is the 135° split point to drill on contact and prevent your bit from walking. And last but not least the set is very reasonably price and a great value!

I already have a large set of drill bits that were my dad's, but some are worn out, and since it is a big set, it is kind of awkward to carry around. I thought this set would be much more convenient, which it is. The case will even slip into my back pocket for carrying, which is handy. I tried 2 of the smaller bits, on just a 2 by four I had out by the wood pile. The first bit broke before it could drill one hole. I thought perhaps I had the torque set too high, so put it down to 16 and the second bit drilled just fine. Not sure if it was a fluke or if the bits just aren't really that great. I use my drill a lot and seldom break a bit unless I've used it pretty hard for quite a while. For the money, I think these are fine, though.

The RYOBI Black Oxide Round Shank Drill Bit Set (15-Piece is my answer to using Drill bits that cost more but are basically cheap bits that end up breaking and loosing their cutting edge. These bits are stronger with the high speed steel in its production and the black Oxide finish. Each bit has a 135 point so they start cutting immediately and won't wander keeping the bit in place and the item being drilled looking good. It's 15 piece set is perfect for my uses and the most bits I usually break, 1/16, 1/8, and 1/8, come in two's which I really like. A very nice case keeps everything in order as well. They also will last 3x long-term then conventional bits, that's a value.

I especially like that Ryobi includes two 1/16”, 1/8” and 1/4” drill bits in their 15-Piece Black Oxide Round Shank Drill Bit Set. I seem to always break the smallest bit (1/16”) and those that I use the most (1/8” and 1/4"). I use the 1/8” and 1/4" bits to drill holes with my CNC router because the black oxide coating provides heat resistance and lubricity. Drilling holes with the CNC Router is tricky because the router cannot be slowed down enough for drilling, but these black oxide bits withstand the heat that builds up while drilling much better than regular drill bits.

When it comes to certain tools, I like to be completely honest .! It’s because when people use drillbits at least 50% of them really do not know how to use a drill bit. (Side note/tip) slow down use cutting oil or any type of lubricant , go a little slower. when you drill too fast, you burn out at the bit . Now onto the review when Ryobi first came out with their drill bits I’m not gonna lie they were cheap. They would break, they would burn too quick, but now that they came out with this new black oxide, I have to say that they have gotten a lot better, they last longer and the price is really good and just like I’ve said on other different ryobi products they’ve actually stepped up the quality and materials they use. They work really great. The price is also really great. They come in this really cool case that flips up so eat you can easily pull out whatever drillbit you looking for . They also give you a nice diagram on the back, so it also recognizes the metric and standard size to the each drill bit and one of the coolest features that I personally like is that the lock on the case it automatically locks when you close it so you don’t loose any bits. Are they going to last you forever? Of course not. But if you learn how to properly use drill bits, they will last for a long time . I definitely recommend these for the do it yourself or for the home improvement enthusiasts , So in general Bradley mix a good product makes a lot of good products and this happens to be one of them.

If you are looking for a good value on a general purpose set of drill bits, then look no further. I ordered this 15 piece set of Ryobi black oxide drill bits to compliment my other specialized drill bits. Whats nice about this Ryobi set is that they can handle most drilling tasks around the home for your average DIY homeowner. Upon delivery to my home I tested sizes 1/16 and the much smaller 5/64 on a scrap piece of ash hardwood, an aluminum strap, and a 1.5” PVC pipe. Both sizes drilled easily into the 3 different materials. I like that the drill bits drill on contact and do not wander away much from the point of contact. I read some reviews complaining these drill bits break easily. Well a lot has to do with how much pressure you apply to the drill bit. When using the small thinner bits, do not force the bit into the material, go slower. If you follow this recommendation you should be satisfied with this set of drill bits. I did not try these bits on any harder metal than aluminum because I have titanium and cobalt drill bits designed for that. Overall for general purpose wood, plastic and soft metal these Ryobi drill bits are an affordable choice.

This set of drill bits has fifteen bits sized from 1/16” (1.59mm) to 3/8” (9.53mm), with two each of – 1/16”, 1/8” and ¼”. These were a very good price for a set like this. Don't know how long they will last but I very rarely will use them on steel, so they should last me quite a while in my wood shop. Be aware that the case they come in has a very very tiny zip tie on it that I didn't even see. When I did find it it was so small and strong I needed my wire snips to cut it off as the scissors didn't work on it. All in all it's a good set for the money.

These bits were fine out of the box and I did not evaluate any claims of longevity, nor whether I could resharpen a dulled bit. (At this price point, attempting to put a fresh edge on a dull bit would probably not be cost-effective.) The base of each bit is engraved with its size, but that information was illegible on all but the largest bits. It's a great starter set or replacements for an infrequent drill user.

The Ryobi bits are really good when compared to other brands. They don’t ware out as fast and last for several months when drilling into metal and if drilling into wood they can and have lasted me up to a year. These are hardened steel and can be sharpened when I need too. The small bits don’t seem to bend easily which is a plus since I use the small ones for my pilot holes.

This is a good set of bits to have in your tool bin or on your work bench. The bits are packed in a tray with a locking cover. Each bit has its own notch with the size indicated. I used the 1/8 yesterday when making a wood step stool for my granddaughter. Pre-drilling for the wood screws prevented the wood from splitting. When I was finished, I put the bit back in it indicated notch and it will be ready for the next project. The is a set of bits that I expect to make my projects easier for years to come!

Ryobi Drill Bit, 15 piece set is extremely sharp. It comes in a nice case with a snap closure. I ended up breaking my closure. There was a zip tie under the closure that was so small I didn't see it. The zip tie was so small scissors could not cut it. I had to saw it off with a razor blade. Fortunately, the case still closes, and stays closed. The drill bits sit in a stand within the case. The stand has small handles on each side to grasp and pull the stand up. The bits are extremely sharp, and last three times longer than regular drill bits. The 135 degree split point prevented the bit from walking. The Black Oxide Round Shank Bits drilled through my vinyl scrap like a hot knife through butter. The bits work quickly, and cleanly. I was impressed with how well the bits worked. The bits work on wood, metal, and plastic. So, I don't have to rummage through bits trying to find the one for metal, or wood, or plastic. It was nice having the very small bits 1/16" up to the larger 3/8" bits in the same case.

These are an excellent value set of drill bits. Large variety at a very reasonable price. These bit won't last forever drilling through all materials but if drilling through non metal you should get plenty of use out of them. They came in very handy when installing my new exterior door onto the deck. I wad very happy getting multiple 1/16 and one size up bits since no matter what, you know those are going to be the ones to get dull/break first!

Do not waste your money on this. When I bought it on the Rack it said $25 and there weren’t many multi packs to choose from so I got this. I got home two of them broke off into the wood. Very cheap quality don’t waste your money.

I'd never before bent a drill bit. It's possible I got a bad batch, but these were soft enough that the first one failed with moderate down-pressure in less than 10 seconds.

This was ordered online and shipped to my home without issue. This is a great set of sharp drills that come in an easy to use case. All of the shanks are round and not slotted on this set. And sliding them in and out of their slots in the case is easy enough and without worries of slicing your fingers from force as these bits are plenty sharp. Though I haven't had a chance to use the larger bits, I have used several of the finer bits and haven't had issues with snapping bits like I have had with other brand bits. all in all these are a great set to have.

The Ryobi 25 piece round shank drill bit set is a nice set of bits. Round shank bits only work in regular drills or drill press not in an impact gun. Yoy don't actually get 25 different size bits because there multiple bits of of certain sizes. Especially of the smaller sized bits which i always seem to brake them. All in all a good set of bits. Sizes range from 1/16 to 3/8. Comes with a nice plastic carrying case. The case lays flat and the bits tilt out so you can access them easier. They cut really well I tested them out on a piece of 3/4 oak and the 1/8 inch size went right through it like butter. I recommend them.

The Ryobi 25 pc round shank drill bits work great and are a great value. It would cost close if not over $50 to buy these individually when you can get the whole set and a carry case for half of that price. The case holds the bits securely but still easy to get out. The trays don't seem to tilt up like other Ryobi cases have, but still super easy to get the bit you need. The tray is clearly labeled what each size is, making it easy to grab correct bit 1st time.

I tested all of the drill bits with my battery operated drill motors. Most of the drill bits ran straight and true. A few of the drill bits wobbled and are not straight and true which is disappointing.
