Plenty of power for the DIY projects. Can't speak to life span. Have only had it a week. Have had pretty good luck with Ryobi in the last 10 years.

Bought a new Ryobi hammer drill and the battery will not charge at all they wore me about this brand I didn’t listen I guess that’s what I get.

Drills through concrete stucco like it's wood
I tried to drill holes into our stucco walls to mount something with a regular drill and super-hard bits, and made little more than a shallow dent. This hammer drill plus some inexpensive masonry bits went into the wall with ease.

I paid $179 for this drill charger battery case bought the best Ryobi they had, and a battery would not keep a charge, took it back got another one in the trigger went out, I will never buy another Ryobi again
